The location is amazing, there are many shops nearby and the metro station is a short walk away. The cleanliness is okay, it is liveable, but as far as I am aware there weren't many facilities. One of the staff was very rude, she did not even say anything even though I spoke to her in Chinese, she just pounded on the door in the morning to ask for my passport. It wasn't a knock, it sounded like someone was trying to break down my door, which scared the **** out of me. If she has a hearing or speaking disability I would be okay, but I heard her speaking to other people so I'm not sure what was up with that. Room is very small, and there's no closet but they do provide hangers. No water provided in rooms as well so be aware of that. Overall, if you are just staying for a night or two it's fine, I stayed for 3 nights which is a bit too much for a room that size. However, given the cost, I would say it is fair given the location.

They also kindly helped us store our parcel before we even checked into the hotel, which made everything so convenient. Since we are foreigners, we couldnt order the chuan chuan sticks and taxi, the owner helped us to place order. Place is super clean, hygienic and quiet. Suitable for relaxing and revitalizing oneself. Overall I am satisfied and highly recommend this place. Thank you for the welcome dumpling. Wish you happy and prosperous

Very nice hotel... well located, inside the walls of the histroic water town, but in a quiet part, away from the hustle of the crowded streets. Room was clean and easily large enough.. with good lighting and private toilet/shower, and daily room service. The buffet breakfast, included in the room price was very good. I speak no mandarin; so I had to communicate with the reception/front desk staff using translate on phones. The front desk staff were wonderful... cheerful, helpful. They went to great lenghts to explain to me how to obtain and buis ticket to Shanghai, where to catch the bus and so on... also the same staff were extremely helpful with day to day questions. The only strange or negative thing is that when shown the room, it looks wonderful as it includes a small private verandah with table and chair. However, there is a fixed wire screen preventing the inhabitant from accessing the room's verandah... kind of strange and certainly a negative

The room was brighter than I thought, and the projector was very good.
