Recommended 7-day Taipei itinerary
📍Itinerary introduction: A family tour, a food tour
🚩Travel route From the city center to the suburbs, modern and traditional Taiwan; play and eat enough
🏖️Check-in spots: Taipei 101, night market, Jiufen, Pingxi sky lantern release, Ximending, Tianmu, Dahu, near MRT Zhongshan Station, near MRT Zhongxiao Station, Taipei business district, Shilin, Yangmingshan, and the Grand Hotel.
🚇Transportation methods: MRT🚇, bus🚌, self-driving tour, chartered tour bus, Uber, 🚕taxi, walking🚶, local passenger transport in Jiufen or Pingxi, and local traditional trains.
📷Shadow Phase has the latest conversation, and it is currently the fifth tallest building in the world, the 101st floor, Taipei 101. There is also the quaint Jiufen.
Not to mention Shilin Night Market, Raohe Night Market, and the characteristics of other night markets! You can also eat all the Taipei delicacies during these seven days and six nights, with the goal of visiting one night market every day😋😋😋
🍜Special food I most recommend the salted chicken, tempura, black rice cake, mochi ice cream, and of course the must-try bubble milk tea, aiyu jelly grass, large intestine noodles, large intestine wrapped in small intestine, various steaks, teppanyaki, grilled corn, sesame noodles, squid soup noodles, and various stewed foods.
🏠Accommodation recommendations
A place close to the MRT station or bus station😌
The hotel I stayed in Taipei this time was chosen for personal reasons, but because it is in Neihu District, transportation is very inconvenient. If you want to go to the center of Taipei, especially if you want to go to the suburbs for sightseeing, you need to go to Taipei Main Station to transfer to bus or Taiwan Railway.
The city center is often congested during peak hours, and the bus will definitely be delayed 😱😱😱😱
And the MRT station is crowded 😨
During rush hour, there were a lot of people in the MRT near Neihu Technology District, and there were no seats to sit. You had to stand all the way to Zhongxiao East Road, and it took almost half an hour. Therefore, it is recommended to stay as close to the city center as possible, in Zhongshan Community, Minsheng Community, or Ximending, which is the favorite of young people.
💡Note: There are many places in Taipei that don’t require cash, so I applied for an EasyCard, which can be used to take the bus, take the MRT, and pay for things. But EasyCard has a big disadvantage: you cannot withdraw the money deposited into it. Because other countries have similar cards to EasyCard, which are also transportation cards that can be used to purchase things, you can keep the card but get the cash in it returned. So when I went to withdraw the money from my Taipei EasyCard on the last day, I was told that it was not possible. I ran to the convenience store and the MRT station, but ended up having to leave the money in the card or take it away with me, or I could go shopping and use up all the money in the card. 😳🤯😳🤯
I had deposited too much money on my card, my luggage was full, I didn’t want to buy anything else, and I didn’t want to eat anything as I was in a hurry to catch my flight. As a result, I had to give the card to a friend and gave him the money as well.
😩So it is recommended not to recharge too much at one time when recharging EasyCard. It is better to make up the difference when the balance is not enough than to find that the money cannot be refunded when you are about to leave Taiwan. 😢🥺But this is my personal experience, I just recommend that you be careful not to put too much money into the card, otherwise this EasyCard is really easy to use, I highly recommend it😍
💰Per capita consumption: Accommodation and food prices are very high. The night market is not as cheap as before, and the cost-effectiveness is not very high. Going out to eat at a better restaurant, plus a night at the night market, will cost an average of $1,000-3,000 Taiwan dollars per person.
💞Reason for recommendation: Recommended for visiting Taipei and its suburbs.
Because if you rent a car or know how to arrange transportation, it is also very convenient to depart from Taipei Main Station. It is highly recommended to charter a vehicle for tourism, because the time intervals between passenger transport, buses, and trains in the suburbs are very long, so be careful not to miss the ride back to Taipei.
The journey from downtown Taipei to the suburbs is very fast, and the city's appearance has changed a lot. The city center has a modern and contemporary side, while the suburbs have a traditional and natural side. There are all kinds of snacks, and you can try them because they vary from region to region.
⚠️Notes:
When buying souvenirs, be careful, the prices vary greatly! The price of pineapple cakes alone varies a lot. I bought one that was too expensive. In fact, the taste is almost the same. I quite regret this 😢😭😭
I bought tea at the first store in Jiufen, but the price at Mei’s store was different. I’m not sure if the tea I bought is the best, but it must be the most expensive 😂🤣🤣🤣 because the first store at the door is often the most expensive 😂🤣
