Moments at Monasterio de Piedra, Spain
Monasterio de Piedra (Stone Monastery) is a monastery, hotel and park complex in the Iberian System mountain ranges, near Nuévalos, province of Zaragoza, Aragon, Spain. The monastery was founded in 1194 by Alfonso II of Aragon, with thirteen Cistercian monks from Poblet Monastery, in an old castle next to the Piedra River, and was dedicated to St. Mary the White (Santa María la Blanca). On February 16,
1983, the entire complex was declared a national monument.
The Monasterio de Piedra is a monastery located in Zaragoza, Spain. The building was constructed between 1195 and 1218, and is surrounded by acres of spectacular parkland.
Nestled amid acres of dramatic parkland crisscrossed by waterfalls, streams and idyllic natural pools, Monasterio de Piedra is a picturesque medieval monastery in the
municipality of Nuévalos, in the province of Zaragoza in Northeast Spain
The Monastery, whose name translates literally as 'The Stone Monastery', was founded in 1194 when Alfonso II, the king of Aragon, donated a castle and the land surrounding it to thirteen Catholic monks from the Order of the Cistercians. The castle dated back to the period of the Muslim Caliphate of Córdoba (929-1031) and had been a Muslim defensive stronghold during the battles against the Christian kingdoms of Northern Spain.

Spain super design featured winery recommended
Three hours drive from La Rioja to Aragon, encountering a super-designed building on the road, suitable for concave shape I thought it was an art museum. I went into the SOMMOS winery. I changed my impression of the winery [Aloha]
and other wineries. SOMMOS advocates modernity. Including the design of the winery, full of the dynamic feeling of electric light flint. Meals are also served in the winery. While you can taste the food, you can also taste the various grapes such as Tanjung, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir grown in the winery. [Sad]

Everything was very clean and beautiful. I would repeat again.
Very pleasant and very atmospheric bar, good background music, variety of pincho toasts, well attended and correct prices.

Top place to have breakfast, we went on a recommendation and it was a success. We had Galician bikini (with lacón and tetilla cheese) and a mixed croissant. The cookie was also very delicious. The decoration of the place is very successful and cozy.

Dona Hipolita
#internationaltravel
We were attracted to this place because of its outdoor design in a nice plaza. Inside was also cozy and beautiful including the presentation of their cakes.
The lady who took our order was very nice and patient. We all noticed how pleasant she dealt with us. We were lucky we didn’t encounter the rude and unpleasant staffs that other people have met during their visit.
Bathroom was also nice!

Ole Zurita Cafeteria
#internationaltravel
Cafe with variety and good location. Great discomfort that they do not serve the table, especially if you go alone and want to sit on the terrace, since if you order two things you have to make two trips. Coffee and croissant offer €2.8.
Solid place for Quick and good Breakfast. Especially the coffee is a surprise because its pretty good for what you normally get served in Spain. This is a self service place coffee....means that you order at the bar and receive your coffee and food also there. Just like in Starbucks.

Criollo Coffee Store
#europetrip
The place is spacious, the service is fast and the coffees are delicious.
For us who come from Madrid, it caught our attention that the price is good. We are used to almost one euro more for the same type of coffee.
The delicious and quality pastries.
The downside is that they don't have a large size since I would have preferred a slightly larger cup for the coffee with milk.
Place to repeat.

Didola Cafe
#europetrip
Dídola is my go-to bar. I have breakfast there every day and many times we also eat or have lunch.
Everything is great! The breakfast offering is very competitive and the coffee (more so since they recently changed) is spectacular. I eat things that are really good, any of the cakes, which are delicious, and my favorite sandwich, the larderito, which I love. The Pollo Pepe is highly recommended and of course the tortilla minis which are spectacular.

Excellent torreznos, in which the quality of the product and the know-how are appreciated, there is a reason they won the award for the best torrezno in the world 2024. Fast service and very friendly.
Highly recommended.
There were plenty of options to eat and kid friendly.
There was air conditioning and there was a great atmosphere. The food came pretty quickly, and with good quality.

#europetrip
I love stopping by this cafe, all the food they sell looks fresh and delicious. They have variety, sweet and salty. The cheesecake is sublime and with coffee, it tastes heavenly. They also have other sweets. The skewers are very good. All at a good price. The place is very located and has a good atmosphere. Their managers are very nice and attentive. Every time I come to Zaragoza I pass by there.

Trip to Zaragoza 🇪🇸
It was a trip to Zaragoza, Spain. We began our day at the stunning Basilica de Nuestra Señora del Pilar, one of Spain's most beautiful Baroque cathedrals. We climbed the tower for breathtaking views over the city and the Ebro River – it was well worth the small fee.
📍Plaza del Pilar
💰Free to enter, €3 for the tower elevator.
We also explored La Seo Cathedral, a Gothic-Mudejar masterpiece with a stunning tapestry museum inside. Right next door, we visited the Museo Goya (Calle Espoz y Mina, 23), which features an impressive collection of works by the famous Spanish painter Francisco Goya, who was born nearby.
📍Plaza de la Seo, 4
💰€4 for La Seo
💰€6 for Museo Goya
In the evening, we headed to El Tubo, Zaragoza's lively tapas district. We hopped between Bodegas Almau and El Balcón del Tubo sampling local tapas like *
migas aragonesas and bacalao ajoarriero. It was a fun way to try different flavors!
📍Calle Estébanes, 10
💰 €2-4 per tapa.
We also explored the Palacio de la Aljafería, a stunning Moorish palace that now houses the regional parliament. The intricate Islamic architecture and beautiful gardens made it one of the highlights of our visit 🙌🙌🙌
💰€5 per adult
📍Calle de los Diputados, s/n
We stopped for lunch at Meli Del Tubo, a charming little spot in El Tubo. I would recommend their rabo de toro foxtail stew) 🍲 – it is tender and full of flavor 🥰
💰Around €15-20 per person
📍Calle Cuatro de Agosto, 18
We also visited Parque Grande José Antonio Labordeta, the city's largest park. We rented bikes 🚲 and explored its beautiful gardens and fountains⛲️ We particularly enjoyed the panoramic view from the top of the monument to King Alfonso I.
💰Bike rental around €6 per hour
📍Paseo Isabel la Católica, 50009
For dinner, we booked a table at La Prensa, a Michelin-starred restaurant known for its creative Aragonese cuisine. The tasting menu was a fantastic experience – every dish was beautifully presented and delicious ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
💰€75-100 per person
📍Calle José Nebra, 3

Spain Zaragoza
On the first day of the vacation, we started a self-driving tour in northern Spain. The first stop was Zaragoza, the fifth largest city in Spain. The weather was sunny when we were in the natural park, but it suddenly turned cloudy and rainy in the afternoon. Unfortunately, it was also the time when we arrived at the famous Basilica del Pilar, and the rain was the heaviest. So we couldn't take photos and had to download one from the internet (picture one). However, the city is beautiful and the first stop is nice.
There are modern buildings with geometric styles and ancient historical sites from thousands of years ago; even though you are heading north towards Portugal, you can still see the southern French charm of vast fields of green chrysanthemums; this is Zaragoza, a city worth visiting if you have the chance.

Spain's Ma Yuan is different from China. They are less ruthless, but they are more amiable.
Riding in the mountains of Spain, closing your eyes and listening quietly, only the insects of nature screaming, the sound of the leaves. This feeling is really very comfortable, do you want to feel it?
