Had a great 4 full days of snowboarding at Beidahu ski resort in China. Nearest airport is Changchun Longjia Airport and takes around 1.5hrs drive to get to the resort (around 250-300rmb cost one way). The ski resort has some very challenging black slopes and can tailor to both beginners and experts alike. Would highly recommended to grove the resort a try for a less expensive powder experience than compared to Japan or Europe

Had a great stay and ski holiday at Beidahu, great powder without the price of expensive Japanese ski resorts. 2 hours away from Changchun Longjia Airport and there’s plenty of hotel and food options at the resort area. Would highly recommend if you are a ski enthusiast, the slopes can be pretty challenging.

Most of the time, booking in advance can get you a better price, especially the longer you stay, the lower the average price. The main ski areas are Qingyun, Lightning, Xiaoyao, Gangliang, Xingguang and Zhuifeng. Qingyun Avenue is an intermediate trail, with a section in the middle that has a steep slope, suitable for practicing small slalom on steep slopes; Lightning is an elementary trail, but the total length is 4km. There is a small rise behind Lightning-4, and you need to slope down from the corner to go up in one go. . Suitable for enjoying the scenery and speeding up. Gangliang and Zhui Feng were in the back mountain, and the sunshine was very good in the afternoon. Gangliang could also turn into a small forest, which gave them more freedom. But during the two days I went there, there were a lot of large ice particles at Gangliang and Zhuifeng, which caused some damage to the board. They are all restaurants opened by locals, which are affordable and delicious. Summary: The skiing atmosphere in Beidahu is great. It feels like everyone is here specifically for skiing. They are very excited and happy in such an atmosphere. In addition, the ski trails in Beidahu are generally long and difficult, and the skiers are basically intermediate or above (the novice magic carpet area is not included).
