Jiangxi Ouyang Xiu Memorial Hall
Ouyang Xiu Memorial Hall is located in Yongshu Park on the banks of the Enjiang River in Yongfeng County, Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province. It is a garden-style memorial hall built in memory of Ouyang Xiu, a famous writer, historian, and politician of the Northern Song Dynasty.
The memorial hall was first built in 1987. In 1997, to commemorate the 990th anniversary of Ouyang Xiu's birth, the People's Government of Yongfeng County expanded the hall and built Yongshu Park, covering an area of 51 mu. The name of the hall was inscribed by the famous calligrapher Qi Gong.
The main buildings in the hall include the Prime Minister's Mansion, Mingdao Pavilion, and Zhiyong Pavilion. There is also an exhibition room displaying Ouyang Xiu's life, political achievements, and contributions to literature and history.
The park also has Zuiweng Pavilion, Liuyi Pavilion, Zhixi Pavilion, Longgang Qianbiao Stele Pavilion, and other buildings, as well as a nearly 1,000-meter-long stone path and a 200-square-meter rockery, forming a pattern of natural and cultural landscapes.
