Chojagasaki, Hayama
A small cape located on the border between Hayama Town and Yokosuka City in Kanagawa Prefecture.
Currently, entry to the cape itself is prohibited.
There is a beach, but compared to Kamakura, Enoshima, and Zushi, the atmosphere and clientele are much more relaxed, the scale is smaller, and the waves are calm. It's perfect for families to relax.
The area is like a small hill, with a parking lot at the top. On a clear day, you can see Mt. Fuji in the distance.
It's never crowded, and it's a place that truly embodies the word 'relaxing.'
'Access'
About 20 minutes by bus from JR Zushi Station or Keikyu Zushi-Hayama Station, get off at Chojagasaki. However, be aware that the surrounding roads can be congested during summer and weekends.
If you take the No. 12 bus, it goes along the coast, so you can enjoy the scenery, but you will need to walk about 15 minutes from the Hayama Imperial Villa stop.
'Facilities'
During the high season, there may be one or two beach houses, but the surrounding dining options are quite limited.
There is a convenience store about a 10-minute walk away, and supermarkets and drugstores around the Hayama Imperial Villa, which is a 15-minute walk away.
There is a public restroom near the parking lot.
There are also public restrooms near the bus stop at Hayama Park, which is less than a 10-minute walk away, and at the Hayama Imperial Villa, which is a 15-minute walk away.
