Yingcheng (应城) is a county-level city in Hubei Province and is located in the eastern-central area of Hubei, in the southwest of Xiaogan City. Well-known attractions include Wenfeng Pagoda, the Menbanwan Ruins and Tangchi Hot Springs. Yingcheng enjoys the reputation of being the “capital of gypsum,” as plaster has been made here for more than four hundred years. The unique local gypsum carvings make wonderful gifts for friends and family.
