Perfect for budget travel
Yanji 3-day 2-night nanny-level guide ✨
For those who are preparing to go to Yanji, take a look! 👇👇👇
Transportation:
🚅High-speed train: Yanji West Station (for those who live nearby)
✈️Plane: Yanji Chaoyangchuan Airport, if there is no direct flight, you can fly to Changchun Longjia Airport first, then buy a train ticket directly: Longjia Station (right next to the airport, about a fifteen-minute walk) - Yanji West, the duration is two and a half hours❗️Note here: Reserve at least half an hour to catch the high-speed train, and if you have checked luggage, it is recommended to reserve more than half an hour
🚕City: Taxi or bus are both fine, with a starting price of 5 yuan, or you can book a ride online; although buses are also fast, they are not easy to wait for (cash payment or Alipay scan is available)
⚠️Walk to the left out of the high-speed train station, there is a taxi area, orderly, just queue up, and it costs about 💰20 to get to Yanji University
Accommodation:
Yanji is not big, and the food is also quite centralized, so it's actually ok to stay anywhere, usually people choose to stay near Yanji University, about one kilometer away from the Water Market and West Market
Check-in spots:
📍Yanji University Internet-famous Wall
No need to say much about this, it's a must-visit spot in Yanji, opposite is Yanji University (now inaccessible). It's more photogenic at night, but not too late, some shops will turn off their lights around eleven o'clock. As for the indispensable check-in coffee cup, there are many coffee shops around, the most economical way is to "pick up" empty cups on the spot or go to Lucky Coffee to buy one~
·
📍Tumen Port
The China-North Korea border, very close to Yanji, 15 minutes by high-speed train or by bus, with more bus services than high-speed trains. You can check in at the national gate, boundary monument, and look over to Nanyang County in North Korea (North Korea's thirteenth largest city). It is recommended to bring your own binoculars and use a camera for photos. Note: There are limited trips back and forth to Yanji, and it gets dark early here, so check in advance~
·
📍Yanji Park
A place where locals hang out, with card playing and exercising in the morning, and inevitably square dancing at night, including Korean ethnic dance~ After dinner, you can go for a stroll.
·
📍Water Market
The local morning market, full of life: all kinds of breakfast, fruits, rice wine, kimchi, vegetables... everything you need, it is recommended to go early, they start packing up around eight o'clock
·
📍West Market
Close to the Water Market, about a ten-minute walk. It is said to be the local wholesale market, with various specialties, clothes, etc., cheaper than the Water Market! Don't ask me how I know😭 And it closes very early, completely locked up by five o'clock, so go early.
·
📍Korean Ethnic Folk Park (🎫27)
If you're not taking photos, it's not recommended to come, because there really isn't much to see, and the shops inside charge extra for taking photos, so you can only check in and take photos outside, I really don't think it's worth the ticket price. If you rent clothes for photos, there are also many options, the cheapest way is to just rent clothes + do a hairstyle, do your own makeup and photography! Like me, I only spent less than a hundred yuan, hahaha~🤭
