▪︎It was a pleasant day with nice weather to explore Pondicherry/Puducherry.
▪︎ Palais De Pondicherry
This hotel is located near to the French colony and Rock Beach, where you can access it by walking many nearby restaurants and attractions. The hospitality or the room service was excellent and 10/10 for cleanliness.
▪︎The South Indian Kitchen
Authentic Indian food was amazing and craving for more. Their briyani rice, prawn masala, gobi manchurian having such a wonderful taste.
▪︎French Colony
The streets called French colony with amazing building structures to take beautiful photographs.
▪︎Rock Beach
Scenic view with the black rock on the sea side to sit and enjoy the mesmerising ocean waves.
Enjoyed the auto ride, food, fruit juices, streets and beach.

• book the auto ride through Uber because it is much more cheaper and safer than you book by calling ride personally from the roadside. 🛺

Tirunallar Saneeswaran Temple
Tirunallar Saniswaran Temple is a magnificent temple which shows the symbol of hope. It is believed that earlier, the temple had a unique connection with Lord Saturn.
Nowadays, a large number of devotees are coming all over the year to seek blessings in his temple.
History of the Tirunallar Saniswaran Temple
The temple was constructed during the rule of the Cholas dynasty. Chola dynasty rulers had a great interest in temples, religion, culture, etc.
There is a story about King Nala from the Mahabharata. It is believed that once upon a time, King Nala faced the malefic suffering from the influence of Saturn.
To seek relief from the problems, King Nala visited the Tirunallar Saniswaran Temple.
After doing prayers, he got relief from the malefic effect of Saturn. Later on, different dynasties ruled the place. All of them contributed a lot towards the development and expansion of the temple.
Architecture of the Temple
Among the different places to visit in Kumbakonam, this temple is one of the most beautiful and Holy places to visit. At the entrance of the temple, you will see Gopuram. The Gopuram is fully covered with beautiful carvings. There is a sacred tank that is present inside the temple. It is believed that having a holy dip in the holy water will get rid of various types of problems. The name of the water tank is Nala Teertham.
The main sanctum is located in the center of the temple and belongs to Lord Saniswaran.
Along with this, various pillared halls are also present. Earlier, these pillared halls were used to perform different types of activities.
Different types of festivals are also celebrated in the temple. One of the most famous events that happened was Shani Peyarchi. During this event, the Shani is believed to change its position in the zodiac.
Overall, the temple is well-known for its architecture and history. The temple holds an extraordinary place in Hindu mythology. So, it is always recommended to visit this temple if you are going for the Kumbakonam.

Pondichery is a great place to visit especially those who like to see historical Indian statues and buildings . Pondichery is a small separated state in Tamil Nadu, India. It is so special because this place have some connections to 🇫🇷 France !! It is also known as little France in India . People who were born in Pondichery will have privilege to get smoother citizenship in France . I have heard so but I am not sure. Please google about it. Thank you !! Incredible India - Puducherry
Once a French colony this place has some colonial style houses that are now turned into shops, restaurants and cafe .
if you are here the local market Goubert is worth a visit. Was surprised to find a Singapore store selling kitchenware ! There are bazaars near the beach at night too.
Nothing very exciting, more to chill, cafe hop and enjoy the local food and some French cuisines are not bad too !
Take note if u walk through villages, was chased by dogs! 🐕
