Shocked! Found a treasure! It’s literally my dream house! I never expected that there is such a great place in Xingyi, Guizhou. Hidden in the forest, living in luxury, Look up at the starry sky and fall asleep on the clouds. As soon as I entered Yuntun Starry Sky Wild Luxury Hotel, I was completely stunned! Even the ground and the small orange lights are painted with animals and flowers. Love it so much! Fairy tale comes to reality! The forest cabin is better looking than I imagined! The solid wood has a full texture and is moisture-free, and every corner of the American style is a scenery. When I enter a place like this I really want to write, haha. The Wanfenglin scenic area has many adorable boutique style hotels with breathtaking views of the mountains, farms and rice fields. The Wanfenglin Linjingtang Holiday Inn, was no exception. We loved the beautifully decorated rooms and the open public spaces overlooking the gorgeous mountain scenery. It is close to many restaurants, bike hire and the the park's shuttle bus. Wanfenglin (Ten-Thousand Peak Forest) is a must see scenic spot located in beautiful Xingyi, Guizhou. There are many ways to enjoy this area's beauty. Shuttle bus- For ¥110 you can take a shuttle bus up the mountain to get a spectacular view of the fields and villages below and the surrounding mountain peaks. After climbing up the mountain, the shuttle will take you through the fields and villages and back to your your starting point. Bikes & Scooters- Hire a bike or a scooter and cycle along the winding roads that take you through the fields and villages. There are lots of gorgeous little coffee shops, cafes and restaurants to stop at along the way! You can also walk or drive around the area, however, bikes and scooters are more convenient. If you are in the Wanfenglin scenic area, make sure you visit the Yixing Wanfo Temple. This temple is unique because it is built in a cave on the side of a mountain! Adjacent to the main temple is a pagoda and opposite is a smaller mountain which also has it's own temple. Xingyi, in Guizhou is an amazing place to go. still not spoilt by mass tourism it is a blast to the past where people live life at a slower pace. This place is a typical farming community. Some of whom are renting out property and building hotels to diversify their income and protect themselves from the changeable nature of farming. The local people make these spicy chilis for themselves and if your stroll around the area there are endless tea fields, that have been in use for a long time. All in all, this is a place to see the team China, and not just any China. but rural China. Some people struggle. some people are prosperous. Literally translating as Forest of Ten Thousand Peaks, Wanfenglin is one of China’s largest areas of karst landscape, famed for its tower-like fenglin formations. On either side of the valley, the karst hills rise from the horizon like humps on a sleeping dragon’s back. 🌲This area has what many popular areas lost long ago - a palpable sense of being well off the international tourist trail. And the best way is to cycling around instead of taking the suttle bus. The area is super clean with a sense of calm. make sure to take active wear because there are a lot of outdoor activities to do, and the best way to enjoy the area is by bike. Situated in the middle of a lake in the south-west of Guizhou Province sits one of the most random sights … a castle. Like a full-on fairytale-inspired castle. You’ll have to rent a car to get here from town and the roads aren’t the best but in terms of unique sights that you really wouldn’t be sxpecting to get then you can’t get much more random than this. For people wanting to snap some shots, highly recommend bringing a drone. The scale of the castle as well as the roads and paths around it don’t make it the easiest to grab without one. There is also a hotel across the path if you would like to stay within sight of a European castle kind of thing but I would recommend just coming for sunset to grab some snaps and leave #themepark

Malinghe is a small city located in and around the Guizhou border with Yunnan. While not the easiest spot in Guizhou to get to, it’s Yangshuo/Guilin-like mountainous landscape but without the mountains of people makes it a relaxing spot to spend the weekend. With the Malinghe waterfall canyon you also get one of the coolest canyons in China. Walk down to the bottom and you’ll find yourself along a refurbished path with waterfalls cascading down on both sides of the canyon. Just be sure to check the weather beforehand. We went during the dry season and while you could tell it would be impressive during the rainy season, it wasn’t quite as impressive at that moment. #waterfall#naturalwonders#hiking
