At Aranya Wuling Mountain | Happiness Takes Shape
I've been planning a family trip for a long time, bringing my parents who want to enjoy hot springs and my little one who wants to play in the snow. A three-day, two-night trip to Aranya Wuling Mountain! Let's go!🚗
1. Self-driving🚗: About 2.5 hrs from Beijing! Remember to take the Jingcheng Expressway and transfer to the Da Guang Expressway. The road conditions are excellent.👌
🏨Where to stay?
1. Lanyan Hotel: Highly recommended! The hotel service maintains the consistent Aranya style. Check in is after 3pm. They will contact you once the room is ready! The minibar and snacks are replenished daily, and there are welcome treats.🥧
2. B&Bs: You can find B&Bs in Phase II, which are also very convenient.
♨What to do?
1. Hot Springs: The highlight of this trip! Lanyan Hot Springs offers private and public hot springs. I didn't try the public ones, but I managed to book a private hot spring, which is super hard to get! An independent cabin🛖, with one indoor and one outdoor hot spring pool each. Enjoying the snow while soaking in the hot spring and drinking ice-cold milk🥛. After the soak, you can relax in the tea room next door, sip tea, and enjoy some snacks! So comfortable and refreshing!
The newly opened Obsidian Hot Springs is located in Phase II. It's a hidden black building in the woods, and reservations are required. It accommodates a maximum of 4⃣ people per hour. Soak in the darkness and experience the high-altitude shower! It is recommended to soak for 15 mins and then take a break in the lounge before continuing. The view from the lounge is also amazing. Sipping tea and enjoying the mountain view! A unique experience! A must-try! ⚠️Children must be 14 years or older to enter!
2. Hotel Activities: The hotel offers various traditional crafts at different times each day. We participated in paper-cutting, and the finished product was stunning! In the evening, you can also join the lantern treasure hunt! Every child loves a treasure hunt! It's a lot of fun! You can also play table tennis in the multi-purpose hall. Get the whole family moving!
3. Dandy Room: Too cold for outdoor activities at night? Come here to play billiards and sing karaoke! The private rooms offer ultimate privacy!
4. Jian Shan Ben Yuan: A Japanese-style courtyard (Ben Yuan) currently hosting the "Making the Most of Cloth" exhibition. Practice calligraphy, read books📖, and find a moment of tranquility here.
🍲What to eat?
1. Canteen No. 1: My favorite❤, and the prices are reasonable. We ate here almost every day for three days!
2. Japanese Restaurant and Snacks: Japanese food lovers can try Songfeng Japanese Restaurant. For breakfast, there's a small place next to Lanyan (Hotel) with two set meals to choose from. The tamagoyaki is great for kids! There's also Machi. Ruguh Coffee☕️, a must-try for coffee lovers!
3. Shi Wei Shan Gu: The fish head with pancake is huge, and the fish is fresh! For kids, there's a kids' meal with fried cod, noodles, and vegetables. The little ones will love it! Truly delicious mountain cuisine.😋
4. Wan Tao Guo. Shan Shi Hot Pot: 🆕 restaurant! Perfect for sukiyaki lovers! A steaming hot sukiyaki pot➕rib-eye beef will warm you up. Even the mushrooms in the pot are delicious! A must-try!
After visiting Aranya in different locations and seasons, I'm definitely hooked.❤️
