Jinlin sand beach is a perfect location to enjoy the sun while making sand castles next to the water body. It’s easy to find a parking and there is a shuttle service to the beach. We also enjoyed a group cycle on our way back. Though it was tough to climb, the way down was equally fun.
There is also a Buddhist temple nearby, the sound of prayers are soothing and relaxing.
Suggest to take along a folding tent and plenty of drinking water and snacks with you.

As soon as I entered Xichang, the famous Qionghai Bay came into view. Standing by the bay, surrounded by mountains, the lake water was crystal clear, and the sky was azure and cloudless. This harmonious natural scene was truly refreshing. Qionghai Bay is not only picturesque but also has a profound cultural heritage. Legend has it that the Qiongdu Kingdom was born here, adding a touch of mystery to Qionghai Bay.
Leaving Qionghai Bay, we arrived at Jianchang Ancient City, known as the "Millennium Ancient City." This ancient city preserves many ancient buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties. Walking on the bluestone road, it felt like traveling back to that era. The historical sites within the ancient city, such as the Confucian Temple, the Martial Temple, and the North Gate Tower, all showcase the glory of ancient Chinese civilization. Every brick and tile, every carving, tells a story of the past's glory and vicissitudes.
As night fell, we headed to the last stop of our trip - Tang Garden. Tang Garden is famous for its unique architectural style and night view. The Tang-style buildings within the garden are particularly charming under the lights. Strolling through the garden, it felt like being in the prosperous Tang Dynasty a thousand years ago. The night view of Tang Garden is not only visually stunning, but the various traditional snacks are also mouthwatering. However, due to other arrangements, I didn't get to explore properly, but for someone who has never seen the sea, I am still very satisfied. It's really beautiful!☁️☁️
Around 9️⃣am, the crowd starts to grow, so if you want to take a picture without people, it's recommended to go at 8am. It's really comfortable when there's no one around～

Don't expect too much from your trip to Xichang
Travel
There are many trains from Chengdu to Xichang, with an average journey time of 3.5 hours. The trains are slow and the carriages are not very clean. The air is stuffy and there is a bit of a smell.
Xichang City is not very big, and the attractions are all within a 30-minute drive of each other. You can take a taxi directly from Gaode or take a local bus. Please note the bus closing time. It is recommended to use the Wanshun taxi app, which is cheaper than Gaode.
When visiting Qionghai, if you are two people, choose an electric car directly. Note that it is not an electric assist car. The assist car looks like a bicycle with front and rear seats, but it is very painful to sit on and does not absorb shock. The road around the sea has many potholes, which are uncomfortable to sit on. If you are two people, the front wheel is also prone to instability and tailing. So be sure to rent an electric car and remember to compare prices and bargain.
Accommodation
It is recommended to stay near Qionghai 17°, next to Wanda Plaza, which has Yonghui Supermarket and Watsons. There are a lot of restaurants around, and it is also closer to Jianchang Ancient City than hotels in Qionghai.
