First Omakase experience ✨
#myfoodies
First omakase experience here at Yù Qí (毓鮨割烹料理) I couldn’t find the english name, and it was pretty good.
It was a 17-course lunch, priced at NTD1380! Pretty worth the price I would say. They do not charge corkage fee, but there is a variety of alcohol to choose from in house as well.
Service was good and food was fresh! The chef was nice to translate the name of dishes because the chinese terms used were too difficult for us to comprehend.
Give it a try! Remember to make reservation before hand.
Address: No. 39號, Section 2, Guiyang St, Wanhua District, Taipei City, Taiwan 10847

Wenting Hot Pot 問鼎
pop into Wenting Hot Pot while in ximending as we were tired of shopping and wanted to have an afternoon tea break - and we became the only customers. but interestingly, customers started to come in as we were about to finish.
we ordered a double base soup - the soups were flavourful. for the suan la fish soup base, we even had fish slices that came with the soup (super worth).the other ingredients were fresh. also, there is a Haagen Daazs Ice Cream Bar, which there are 8 flavours to choose from.
As for the dining experience, it was clean and modern. You order all your food from a tablet that is available in several languages.

It's All About The Food In Ximending
When you are in Ximending night market, there are 2 kinds of people, shoppers and foodies! For me, it's definitely all about the food, the Taiwanese Street food!
There are many vendors here along the street of Ximending selling all your local Taiwanese cuisine, like you wrapped rice with chopped vegetables and Taiwanese sausage, your fried mashed potatoes with melted cheese, ahm and broccoli, the bubble teas and the many desserts here.
Most of the stalls here have really long queue and you have to just queue to get these yummy delights, but it won't take long as the queue goes really fast. The varieties here were so much that I had to come a 2nd time, my stomach was too full to try it all!

Food Road Trip @ Taipei
Wanhua District, Taipei City, Taiwan 108
Taipei has been known as a food paradise where you can find a wide assortment of local cuisine. For cheap eats, please be sure to come to the Shi-men Ting street. The famous white bittergourd juice can be found there. I love the bitterness it gives, and enjoyed the drink. The famous fried chicken can also be found there. It is nicer than the one we had here. The chicken cutlet is always having long queue.
There were many restaurants offering steam boats and grilled food. The best time to come taipei is during the fall season, as the hot spring season will begin during that season.

Cashbox KTV Taipei Zhonghua New Branch: Signature Beef Noodles
Address: No. 55, Section 1, Zhonghua Road, Zhongzheng District, Taipei City
Atmosphere/Facilities: KTV
Specialties: Beef Noodles, Pork Chop Rice, Braised Platter, Fried Platter
Average Price: 1,100 TWD
Cashbox is practically a beef noodle shop disguised as a KTV! Not only is it a must-order every time, but I've even pretended to wait for a table in the lobby just to have it for dinner!
First, let me clarify that Cashbox's beef noodles are definitely not at the level of traditional old shops or top-tier famous stores! The taste is similar to that of a central kitchen or instant noodle soup! Extremely ordinary! But it has an addictive charm! It's always the first thing that comes to mind when gathering or passing by!
With the changing times and consumer habits, Cashbox has fewer and fewer licensed songs in recent years! Some songs have been replaced with karaoke tapes! The update speed of new songs is also getting slower! This has led to a long period of not stepping into Cashbox!
This holiday, it was still crowded, and upon entering the room, I found the songs were still old, and the equipment was still outdated! However, the quality of the food has improved, and the variety of alcoholic beverages has increased! It's like they've invested all their points into the food and beverage skill tree!
In addition to the original beef noodle items, the pork chop rice and chicken leg rice are also of a certain standard! The braised platter and fried platter have become more abundant and exaggerated! Importantly, the taste is not bad! It has completely turned into a private room-style restaurant! More than half of the four-hour consumption time is spent eating, chatting, and drinking! This path is getting wider and wider 😂😂😂😂
This time, the beef noodle soup and meat quality were good, but the noodles were powdery and mushy! Unacceptable!
This is my favorite restaurant in Taipei
📍Ximending 🤩👍🏻😉
Ximending is one of my favorite place to visit in Taipei because there are a lot of shops and restaurants to waste money 555. I will visit Ximending again because the Xing Fu Dragon milk tea 🧋 is sensational and the boba is very 👍🏻 #asia #taipei #taiwan #awesomepic
