2024 Valensole Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in November)
Today's Weather

Visiting the lavender fields of southern France was a long-time dream of mine, until it finally became reality last summer! The lavender fields bloom in late June to July, and you can best find the in the Plateau de Valensole, which is the “lavender hotspot” of southern France. You might think that the best thing about them is the appearance of purple fields that seem endless, but my highlight was the scent of lavender everywhere in the air. All in all, it is a dream destination that I hope everyone gets to visit at some point in their lives, and if you do, you can find this specific spot by searching for “Arbre coucher de soleil” in your maps. #lavenderfields #southoffrance #france
The breathtaking lavender fields
It takes about 3 hours by car from Nice, France to Valensole in Provence, all for this vast expanse of pink-purple lavender fields. Although half of the fields have been turned into wheat fields, it does not diminish the stunning view of the lavender. Walking into the lavender bushes feels like getting lost in a fairy tale world, leaving all worries behind. Despite the presence of many bees, this is definitely a top spot for taking photos and a must-visit place from June to August.

Self-driving Nanfa, while the secret position of sunflower on the side of lavender
On the net, I saw a picture of a sunflower and a lavender field together in Valensol, and I took the same paragraph with my heart. The result was wrong according to the coordinates. It may be because the crops planted in the flower field are the mood of the owner, so the sunflowers were planted last year and will not be planted this year.
Later we asked the little brother of the pet shop in the pizza shop. Although he couldn't speak English, I showed him a picture of the sunflower. He marked us on the map. This year's sunflower field is on the way to Valensole to Manosque, just off the D6.
In addition, the large flower field is out of Valensoller. Its a little open. Dont be like us. When you see a small piece, you will be excited. As a result, the sunflower field can only be photographed in the hot sun at noon.

The most famous and most lavender field in Provence: the Valensole flower field. Because of its continuous, high and low undulating lines, blue sky and white clouds in the distance, and lonely trees from time to time, each element makes this the best photography base. The lavender that comes here sooner or later is absolutely beautiful. Large block.
There are many flower fields from the town of Valensol. Basically, you can walk along the D6 and D8 roads. Pay attention to the small trees and cottages in the flower fields.
