This is not LA, it's VALENCIA 🇪🇸
This is not a drill - those gorgeous tall palm trees are not from Los Angeles, but from Valencia! And in addition to the beautiful coast-side, there is art and culture, history and freshly made churros with hot chocolate... 🤤
The port city of Valencia lies on Spain’s southeastern coast, where the Turia River meets the Mediterranean Sea. It’s known for its City of Arts and Sciences, with futuristic structures including a planetarium, an oceanarium and an interactive museum. Valencia also has several beaches, including some within nearby Albufera Park, a wetlands reserve with a lake and walking trails.

The ultra-modern architecture of ancient Spain - the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia.
Valencia, the shining pearl of the Mediterranean, is the source of inspiration for the architectural master Santiago Calatrava. This master spent 14 years creating a brilliant monument in the history of modern Spanish architecture - the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia. This city within a city stands proudly on the vast riverbed left behind after the Turia River was diverted in the 1960s. Santiago cleverly used the unique geographical location and dry climate of the Mediterranean coast, with water as the soul, and ingenuity, making each building float lightly, as if rising leisurely from the water.
The once dry riverbed has now been reborn, transformed into a vibrant municipal park. It not only carries the historical memory spanning thousands of years since 138 AD, but also seamlessly connects the depth of classical relics with the most avant-garde and innovative architectural styles of the new century, weaving a magnificent picture of the integration of ancient and modern times, and harmonious coexistence. The City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia is not only a miracle of architecture, but also a model of perfect dialogue between nature and humanity, history and the future.

Naked flamingos!
#summerdestinations Took a chance and grabbed an amazing flight with Trip to Alicante airport 💞Reasons to Recommend: fab price, times and love jet2.
Stayed in #historicallandmarks Orihuela in Costa Blanca and absolutely loved it. This wasn’t a touristy area but there were plenty of bars and entertainment to explore in the evening and chill in the day. The white flamingos look naked as they don’t have the normal pink colour They are standing in the salt lakes which we drove past to our accommodation. 😍#chill

Chulilla @ España
Chulilla was some breathtaking!! 14km hiking route and phenomenal views throughout the route! It was incredible there. The hanging bridge was absolutely stunning! However it was quite crowded for a photo. But it was worth it anyways. The tiny village was also lovely and local businesses all around. I would highly recommend visiting this place and spend your day hiking there and exploring the the village.

Amazing nature and great place to hike!

Getting There by car from Valencia, around 30-40 minutes.
Great place with many different routes for hiking, running and mountain biking. Most of the areas are well mapped and have signs to follow, still better to have GPS or a hiking map which will allow to explore more areas.
After the hike, one can drive to the beach to cool down, only 8km away by car. In the city of Pucol there are different restaurants to get some more energy for the day.

Summertime village swimming pool ☀️
Little villages in Spain are an ideal summer getaway! Specially the swimming pool, that usually opens only during the summer months, the hottest days of the year!
One example is the Public Swimming Pool in Quesa, a small village about one hour drive south of Valencia.
There is never too many people, and the water is at the right temperature to freshen up during the hottest hours of the day.
On top of that, its location atop a hill provides beautiful views over the village.
Let’s enjoy the summertime.
