All Moments About Trongsa
Trongsa Dzong
Trongsa Dzong is one of the biggest and most immpressive temples in Trongsa. Amazing location high up in the valley so you can enjoy the best view of the river and surrounding mountains. The road to Trongsa is a bit scary. I would recommed not to go during a rainy day as the road gets muddy , slippery and this road is quite narrow. It gives you the feeling you are going to fall down anytime. Locals are excellent at archery. Don't be surprised to see archery contest. Bring your walking shoes and camera. It opens to the public everyday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Central Bhutan
#springitinerary Central Bhutan is the kind of place that sneaks up on you, in the best way. It’s all rolling hills, misty mountains, and chill little towns that feel like time just slowed down. Places like Trongsa and Bumthang are full of history, with epic dzongs (those fortress-monasteries) perched on cliffs and monks just casually going about their day. The drives are long and winding but the views? Insane. You’ll pass rivers, forests, and sleepy villages that look like they belong in a fairytale.
The vibe here is super peaceful, way less touristy than other spots, so you can really take it all in. Plus, the locals are insanely kind, and the food? Warm, spicy, and perfect after a day of exploring. Whether you’re into hiking, temple hopping, or just soaking up mountain calm, Central Bhutan is all about slow travel and soul-filling views. Total hidden gem.

The drive to Trongsa was an unforgettable experience. The winding roads, the breathtaking mountain vistas, and the sense of being immersed in the heart of Bhutan's natural beauty were simply incredible. Even the high passes, like Yutong La, provided stunning panoramic views that made the journey as much of a highlight as the destination itself. Be prepared for a long, but rewarding, drive!

This picture was taken during my visit to Trongsa in Bhutan. The locals play archery made of bamboo unlike the town people who use the Olympic archery. I loved how they danced and shouted when they hit the target.

Trongsa Dz
Trongsa Dzong is the largest Zongdan in Bhutan. Due to its central location, it is highly regarded by the royal family. Except for special circumstances, the kings have served as local governor Pero before the throne. The practical experience of Tsapello became an important cornerstone before the Crown Princes became king. Such an important Zongbao is naturally a big one when it was originally selected. Tongsa Zongbao is located in the horseshoe valley in the Mande River. This is considered to be the horseshoe mark of the auspicious mother, originally from the grandfather of Xia Zongfa. The first temple was built. Over the next few hundred years, temples and repair houses slowly gathered and gradually formed the current scale. The meaning of Sa Trongsa is new village. Standing up to the north end of the castle, overlooking the spectacular Mande Valley, it is a stunning sight not to be missed in Zongbao.
