Trabzon is
Trabzon is the largest and most controversial city on the Black Sea coast. Either love or hate. This is a complicated place because it has both the shackles of a big city and the dilapidated appearance of a port city.
We went with the Taiwanese boys and girls who met each other and climbed to the top of the mountain to watch a sunset. The messy antennas above the building are staggered as if to divide the sky. In some houses, the dilapidated saw blade is the only defense on the top of the earthen wall. The Taiwanese boy who studies art says "very artistic, I like it very much."
In the village, there is a monument-like thing next to the path, with taps on it, which were built before the death of the locals, and when the descendants drank water, they thought of their merits. Really, there are interesting styles everywhere.

Trabzon is
Trabzon is the largest city in the eastern Black Sea, the busiest port. Trabzons football team and Bursas football team are the only non-Istanbul teams that have won the Turkish National League, but it seems that they have been more than 20 years since they last won, and everyone here seems to be proud of it.
Trabzon fun place:
1. Trabzon Museum
This is an Italian-style mansion built by a Russian businessman in Turkey.
There is an exhibition hall dedicated to the facilities in the mosque.
There is also a room where Ataturk lived.
2. Boztep Picnic
Google Map Search: Boztepe
A place that is perfect for picnics, keep going up the road in the village.
can see a meadow halfway up the mountain. Take out the bread ham and drink bought on the road, you can have a picnic with your friends.
There are a lot of local people drinking tea in the teahouse next to it. The price is very cheap, and the scenery is beautiful.

Trabzon is the busiest port and largest city in the eastern Black Sea. There is a football team and a Bursa team that is the only non-Istanbul team that has won the Turkish National League. Although they have been winning the championship for the past 20 years, they still have great glory.
This is a friendly city. Of course, every city in Turkey deserves such a description. The specific enthusiasm can be seen from the photo taken by the locals when I go to the fish market~
There is also a Russian here. The Italian-style museum built by the merchants in Turkey is also worth seeing, and there is a very strange kebab, probably only 1TL. I am holding a try and I am going to eat a food that looks like meat. But like rice mixed with ketchup, and a half-mountain picnic place? Yes, there is such a place...

#hot-air-balloon-travel#good-places-in-february-2025#rock-castle#secret-land-in-Türkiye#ancient-greek-style#fairy-tale-town
When you come to Cappadocia, Türkiye, in addition to taking a hot air balloon to overlook the strange rock formations, there is also a low-key but charming town - Ortahisar. There are cave houses, rock castles and ancient streets adjacent to each other here. Walking among them, it feels like traveling back to ancient Greece.
Stroll through Ortahisar and experience history
The town's name means **"Middle Castle" and is centered around Ortahisar Castle. This natural rock fortress is 86 meters high** and was an important defensive stronghold during the Byzantine period. Today, you can still climb to the top to enjoy the vast views. Walking along the winding stone paths, through rows of cave dwellings, old churches and olive fields, the tranquil atmosphere and well-preserved historical features here make you feel like you have stepped into a Greek fairy tale.
Must-see features of the town
Ortahisar Castle: Climb to the top for a breathtaking view of Cappadocia
Historical rock dwellings: See traditional cave dwellings still inhabited
Small town cafe: drink a cup of Turkish coffee and experience the simple slow life
This small town, which seems like a hidden place in ancient Greece, is low-key and charming. It is a secret place that travelers who love history and culture cannot miss. If you plan to come to Cappadocia, remember to take some time to stroll through Ortahisar and experience a different Turkish style.

Trabzon: A Hidden Gem on Turkey’s Black
Nestled on Turkey’s stunning Black Sea coast, Trabzon is a city rich in history, natural beauty, and cultural heritage. Once an important trade hub on the Silk Road, this charming destination is known for its breathtaking landscapes, lush green mountains, and unique blend of Turkish and Pontic Greek influences.
One of the city’s most iconic landmarks is the Sumela Monastery, an ancient Greek Orthodox monastery perched dramatically on a cliff in the Altındere National Park. Visitors can also explore Uzungöl, a picturesque lake surrounded by dense forests and misty mountains, perfect for nature lovers and photographers.
Trabzon’s Hagia Sophia, a former Byzantine church turned mosque, showcases stunning frescoes and architecture that reflect the city’s diverse past. The bustling Trabzon Bazaar offers a glimpse into local life, where visitors can shop for traditional handicrafts, fresh hazelnuts, and delicious local dishes like Akçaabat Köfte (grilled meatballs) and Hamsi (Black Sea anchovies).
Whether you are drawn by its history, its natural wonders, or its vibrant culture, Trabzon is a destination that promises an unforgettable experience in the heart of Turkey’s northern coast.

Trabzon: Turkey's Iconic City on Black Sea
#voyagevibes
While travelling from Gaziantep to Istanbul in Turkey last summer, I decided to take a stopover for one day in Turkey's black city of Trabzon to explore the natural beauty of the Uzungol "long lake". This lake is located about 90 km away from the Trabzon TZX Airport, and it can be reached by bus or taxi from the airport. There, I saw that the lake is surrounded by green mountains, and the view was so beautiful and breathtaking. I took memorable pictures of this amazing lake, and I took my turkish tea and lunch just on the lake coast. It was a really amazing trip and it is a must visit place for everyone.
Accommodation:
- Uzungol Cerrahpasa" hotel. Walking distance from the lake.
Local Food:
- Akcaabat kofte and hamsi.

Trabzon: Where the Black Sea meets the mountains and Sera Lake 😍
Last year I had travelled to the Western and Southern part of Turkey and had such a wonderful time exploring the diversity - but I wanted to see just how much more magical it could get - and wow! Trabzon blew me away! The views, the food, the markets, the hospitality, THE VIEWS!!
It was such a beautiful destination with everything close by! We stayed in the heart of Trabzon near Meydan Park. There were buses and markets within walking distance. That by default made everything closer! It took about 10-15 minutes to get to the airport, about 20 minutes with a minibus to find this magical view close to Sera lake, and pretty much everything else was just a stroll away - including restaurants and cafes offering diverse cuisines, and a vibrant walkway with dinner on a cruise! Absolutely recommend this destination for couples 😜 #couplestrip #turkey #100waysoftravel

Ataturk Pavilion 🇹🇷
#EuropeanTravel
Visiting the Ataturk Palace in Turkey was a special and cultural experience. I enjoyed exploring this historic site that was the residence of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of the Turkish Republic. I wandered through the luxurious
hallways and magnificent rooms, contemplating the beauty of the interiors and artifacts. The atmosphere of the palace was quiet and interesting, with historical paintings and personal portraits reflecting the life of the great Turkish leader.
I also enjoyed walking through the beautiful palace gardens and relaxing in the tranquil natural atmosphere. This visit was an opportunity to discover Turkish history and culture in a unique and unforgettable way.

Winter Time in Trabzon,Turkey 🇹🇷
Once we had the chance to visit Trabzon during Christmas. It was snowing a lot. People bought tours to go see the snow there. The price was not expensive. The guide spoke Arabic + English. The food, accommodation, and flights were good. The places they took us to see were beautiful. We were very impressed by the rest stop in this picture. It was high up on a mountain surrounded by snow. 😍 We will definitely go again.
