Toronto Train Travel (say that fast)
#trainjourney
Toronto railway is improving!
You can access more satellite cities around the GTA for convenient day trips. This year I rode from Toronto Union Station to Kitchener Station.
Grab a ticket to your desired location and skim over the train schedules. Find your departure time and arrive a little early. Toronto has a sustainable card-based ticket system. You can reload the card for regular use.
TO > Ktch was a few hours ride. I was there by mid day. When I got off the train my friend was there to pick me up!
Kitchener station isn’t big. So you’ll find your way back relatively easy. If you have some time to spare between rides enjoy the nearby café. They have delicious drinks and scones.
(Vegan snacks available.)

The University of Toronto is a great place to visit, even if you're not a student.
The University of Toronto is a top public research university in Canada. Founded in 1827, it is located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The university is known for its outstanding academic achievements, rich educational resources, and diverse and inclusive cultural atmosphere. The University of Toronto has three campuses: St. George Campus, Scarborough Campus, and Mississauga Campus. Among them, the St. George Campus is located in the city center, next to Queen Park. It is famous for its combination of ancient Gothic architecture and modern facilities. The open campus is shaded by trees and full of flower beds, providing not only a harmonious and quiet learning environment, but also an interesting space for visitors.
The University of Toronto campus is scattered in several blocks in the northwest direction of Queen Park. The leisure lawn around the UC Library is the area with the most attractions. Trinity College, Hnox College, Thomas Fisher Rare of Library, and the campus knight bell tower (Soldier Tower) are all campus landmarks worth savoring.
At the end of the note, there is a map of the University of Toronto campus. You can choose the tour route according to your preferences. Visit notes:
1. Be quiet! Be quiet!
2. If you enter the building, don't go in groups!
3. If you want to take pictures, try to take some empty photos without disturbing others.
There are rest areas for students to rest or read books everywhere on the campus, which is also the best place to visit. Sitting on the bench, watching the students rushing past, the youth and the sun... a different kind of scenery.
Go for a walk on the campus!

My Life FIRST | Ten Thousand Encounters · Toronto
Perhaps it is the predominance of low-rise buildings, small commercial complexes, wide roads, and seemingly endless green spaces in most areas of Toronto that make it difficult to feel the hustle and bustle of a metropolis. Instead, one experiences a strong sense of nature and a welcoming residential atmosphere, earning the city a charming nickname: "Duocun" (meaning "many villages").
However, the downtown core of Toronto presents a completely different scene, particularly the unique architecture and character of the city's historic district. As one strolls through the area, observing the juxtaposition of modern and historic buildings, the latest concrete and steel structures stand alongside elegant brick buildings from the Victorian era. It truly feels like traveling through time, effortlessly switching between eras.
Enjoy a casual meal at St. Lawrence Market, attend an exhibition in an industrial-style neighborhood, snap a selfie at the base of the CN Tower, check in at the Railway Park, take a ride on a streetcar, sip a coffee at the University of Toronto, or grab a plate of stir-fried noodles from a roadside food truck... There are countless possibilities, each offering a unique experience in Toronto's historic district, waiting for you to embark on at any moment. #TorontoTravelPhotography #MyLifeFirst #UnseenNovelty #AttractionPhotoGuide #CapturingUrbanCulture 📸🏙️🚋🍜🌳
Toronto Centre Island Romantic Day Trip
This Monday, we decided to visit Toronto Centre Island, a tranquil and beautiful paradise. We avoided the weekend crowds.
🌟How to get to Centre Island?
1. Ferry 🚢
Depart from Jack Layton Ferry Terminal.
Address: 9 Queens Quay W
(See the last image for departure times)
2. Water Taxi 🚤
One-way adult fare: $12.5 cash/person, $14 card/person.
Return trip can be taken for free by ferry.
To catch the earliest ferry, we chose the one that was about to depart. After arriving at Hanlan’s Point, we began a walk of about 4 kilometers, eventually reaching Centre Island. The weather was very nice, and the scenery along the way was very healing❗️If you have your own bicycle 🚲, you can bring it to the island. Cycling on the island is also a great experience.
✨Along the lakeshore, we walked to Centre Island’s Bike Rental. We rented a tandem bicycle and rode to Ward’s Island for a tour, then returned to Centre Island to return the bike. The Bike Rental cycling fees are as follows:
• Single bicycle: $10/person

Gooderham Building: The progenitor of the world's 'Flatiron Buildings', a unique and artistically rich structure
I am the sea-gazing and wave-listening tour+ global traveler, please follow me!
(Published in 57 countries/regions across 5 continents, this is the 1716th travel photography article)
The Gooderham Building (Gooderham) is located at the wedge-shaped corner of Front St. E and Wellington St. E in Toronto, also known as the 'Flatiron Building'.
This five-story red brick building is not only a historic landmark of Toronto but also the progenitor of the 'Flatiron Buildings' around the world. Completed in 1892, it has a history of over a century, predating the construction of the world-famous Manhattan Flatiron Building in New York by 10 years. Moreover, the back of this building is creatively adorned with a whimsical mural that cleverly integrates the actual windows of the building into the painting. The flat art creates a 3D effect that is quite interesting.
The exterior of the building can of course be visited for free, and you can take photos at will, just be mindful to avoid the passing vehicles. However, the interior is an office building and is not accessible for visits without special reasons.
Address: 49 Wellington St E, Toronto ON M5E1C9 (next to St. Lawrence Market)

Address: CN Tower, Canada
Features: It is a 553.3 m high concrete communications and observation tower in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Completed in 1976, it is located in downtown Toronto and was built on former railway land. Its name "CN" refers to Canadian National Railways, the railway company that built the tower.
Rating: I only took photos nearby and didn’t go up in particular.
2.
Address: Toronto Islands
Transportation guide: Union Station subway station (🚶🏻7 minutes)➡️Walk towards the lake to the pier. Take the Hanlan's Point Line➡️Nude Beach
(To walk from the station to the pier, you have to go to the front pier to catch the boat. On the way, you can see some private piers that are more expensive)
Rating: There are no shops on the archipelago, so try to eat something first. There are three lines for disembarking on the archipelago. Those who want to see the nude beach can disembark at the "Hanlan's Point line" 😂
🇨🇦City Hall in Toronto, where you can enjoy ice skating in winter
🇨🇦 Toronto City Hall is the work of Finnish architect Vilio Revell, selected through an international competition,
and was completed in 1965!
Old City Hall is next to the current City Hall
It has a slightly European feel to it, so if you go in front of it, you can take a lot of pictures,
and it's even more beautiful at night!
In the winter season when there's a lot of snow,
it's built as an ice skating rink (in the summer, it's a fountain)
As you can see, the reason why there are so many people is because the admission fee is free,
and only the shoe rental fee is $15, and you can ride for 2 hours!
Please check this information every year, as it may change😃
The Toronto neon sign that lights up at night is really pretty🫶

ART GALLERY OF ONTARIO, TORONTO 🇨🇦
I have a Toronto Public Library Card and one of the benefits of having one is to be able to get a FREE PASS. So, I was able to get a FREE PASS from the library and went to the gallery on a Friday. I started going around at 2pm and tha gallery closes at 5pm. I only had 3 hours and I know that 3 hours is not enough to see so many paintings and art pieces. You can see a lot of Art on the 1st and 2nd floor. 3rd floor is only for special occasions or exhibitions. 4th and 5th floor for contemporary. Note: Tripods and selfie sticks not allowed. #art #art Gallery #artsHunting #arts #artgalleryofontatio
🍊 bunny year at HarbourFront Centre
#yearofrabbit
Immersed in Chinese New Year festive season at HarbourFrontCentre. The gigantic bunny sits inside the mall with many small bunnies and other decorations surrounding it.
It is really giving us the vibe that the festive season is just round the corner.
You can read about how the rabbit year will be for each zodiac animal. It's quite interesting to read about it. Maybe just believe the goods and leave the bad behind.

The tallest in western
I went to CN tower which located not far from Union station of Toronto. The admission fees costed around 50 CAD. After that, the elevator took us to the upper. We can see the city of Toronto, the Toronto Billshop Airport and Toronto island downstairs. The view was stunning. Moreover, if you want to be on top of the top, you need to pay extra 11 CAD to go to the highest point. That makes you will be the highest in Western Hemisphere.
Swiss Chalet - Scarborough Town Center
Awesome dining experience at Swiss Chalet. My friends decided to have our Christmas dinner at this place after we had our Finals at Centennial College. The place had a nice view from outside and it really looks good inside. The place is not well lit or is not so bright to have that nice dining experience. The food is awesome and it was too much for me I had to bring home some.
