TeoChew Beef Hotpot in HCM
#earthdayjourney
1 Teochew beef hotpot restaurant in Tan Phu district needs to be known more
The reason why. Because they sell home-made style, the owner doesn't know much about marketing, but the quality and price are very good, so I want to share with everyone
This place is called Phuc Hop Lau, 44 Luy Ban Bich Tan Phu
Sells dimsum in the morning, has rice and hotpot for lunch and dinner
The beef hotpot here is Teochew style, with 6 hotpot flavors. I tried it and found the spicy taste quite good, rich but not as spicy as Sichuan. Phuc Hop Lau flavor is beef bone broth, rich, sweet meat. The third flavor is tomato hotpot, the sour taste of fresh tomatoes is more than other hotpot restaurants
Fresh beef, a lot of beef on a plate and soft, dipping for 8-15 seconds depending on the part of the cow. Especially like the crispy beef book like in China I used to eat
Here each plate is big, a lot, 2 people with big appetites can have 1 hot pot (120k or so, I forgot because I didn't pay attention), 2 plates of beef, 1-2 other toppings + 1 vegetable and they will be full
The few times I went, 2 people spent about 500-600k and they were full
In addition, there are some Chinese drinks like ginseng water, plum and apricot water, etc.
The staff is quite ok, the owner is friendly. I found the beef a bit tough, I just checked and told the kitchen to cut the wrong grain and brought out a full plate for me even though I almost finished the old plate
The security guard is also friendly, speaks with a broken Chinese-Vietnamese accent and smiles at customers all the time
In general, this is a place worth visiting, friendly for families and friends to gather. Not cheap but the quality and quantity are worth it
For me, 8/10
