And if you really want to reach the end you need to swim a bit to find the waterfall It's like an adventure. You need to pay 1 Omani Real (20 RMB/ 3$) to pass the water by boat to enter the Wadi. Apart from this no need to pay anything else. Watch out when you hike and take some water with you. Try to go early morning around 8 as it gets hotter and more crowded later. # My Solo Girl Adventure at Wadi Shab, Oman! 💦 OMG guys, I just had the BEST day trip ever! 🤩 Took myself on a little adventure to Wadi Shab about 1.5 hours from Muscat. The journey was super easy - just booked a car for a day trip tour that was super convenient! If you're lucky like me, you might even score a private trip all to yourself! Headed along the coastal road, then started to walk and hike through this incredible canyon for about 30 mins. And LOOK AT THIS WATER! 😍 Crystal clear turquoise pools nestled between massive rocks. I couldn't believe places like this actually exist! The swim was absolutely refreshing after the hike. Tips if you're a solo girl traveler: - Felt totally safe the whole time! - Wore a tee and swim shorts (modest but comfy) - Started early to avoid crowds and heat - Brought snacks (no shops there) - Don't forget sunscreen and water! If you're wondering if Oman is solo-girl friendly - YES IT IS! Everyone was respectful and helpful. This year's first hike was to the Wadi Shab Grand Canyon in Muscat, Oman! It takes two or three minutes to take the ferry to get to the other side of the river. The hiking time is not very long, but some parts of the road are a bit difficult to walk. The water was emerald green, clear and pure. Two young European men and women jumped into the water repeatedly to swim. I really admire their courage.

Wadi Shab is a must when traveling to Muscat, Oman. Just 1:40h car ride away a beautiful swimmers‘ paradise awaits. We walked for around 40 minutes from the main road, and then swam about 800m to reach a cave we swum in. The water is from a spring so it is very clean and clear! The weather is always very hot though so remember to bring a lot of water and a hat is also a must! #oman #nature
