Traveling on a budget to the maldives ? Here is one of the best local islands
Many wish to travel to maldives but when they see the prices they give up which I would also do haha
But many forget that Maldives isn’t only high end resorts but there is beautiful local island much cheaper in hotels and in diving or water sports
Thoddoo is one of them a very green island with a beautiful beach ( some resorts trust me don’t even have a beach where u can just sunbath )
People are very nice and polite and used to tourists
Food you can find many restaurants you should try some local food also but there is other restaurants with international cuisines
If you craving some Italian pizza made by Italian hands @prianicuisine Thoddoo is the best
🏖️BAmbiance/Facilities:you can find almost everything from hotels with full amenities to water sports to diving to photography
Feel free to ask more questions in the comments I’m happy to answer all
Thoddoo Garden Inn.
Thoddoo Garden Inn, located on Thoddoo Island in the Maldives, is a great choice for those visiting the area. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The family running the Inn is friendly and the breakfast is delicious.
Furthermore, it is located very close to the beach, which makes it very convenient.
If you are planning to visit the island, this a good option for your stay!

Maldives: Dream destination that won’t break the bank!
I’ve just returned from a dream holiday in the Maldives. The Maldives far exceeded my expectations. I stayed on local islands where accommodation is really nice and super affordable. During my holiday, I stayed on four different islands and visited two other islands.
My first night was on Male city Island, Male is a vibrant and energetic city with great restaurants and bars.
The next day I took the local ferry to Himandhoo Island which has a really relaxed and chilled vibe. There were very few tourists there and I spent three days really enjoying the beach and swimming in the beautiful sea. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and the food at the restaurant was delicious.
Then I took the local ferry to Thoddoo Island, this island has beautiful beaches and also very good snorkelling, when snorkelling here I encountered a group of five turtles which was really amazing.
On my way to Thoddoo Island I spent the afternoon at Rasdhoo Island, to be honest, not my favourite. It seemed very touristy and didn’t seem to have as nice a vibe as the other islands I visited. However, it did seem to have some really nice restaurants.
While staying on Thoddoo Island I took excursions to see sharks, stingrays and manta rays. These were all really amazing experiences. While doing one of these excursions, we spent a little bit of time on Mathiveri Island, although I didn’t get to spend very long on the island I really loved the vibe of this island. It didn’t seem too touristy either. The beaches and water looked amazing. If I ever come back to the Maldives I would definitely stay on this island.
The last island I stayed on was Ukulhas, the snorkelling from the beach here was really great. I saw so many fish of all different shapes colours and sizes however it was probably my least favourite of all the islands I stayed on, as there is a lot of construction work going on. They seem to be building many hotels, I think in future the island will be overrun with tourists and will lose its authentic feel. However, it was one of the best islands for snorkelling.
I had a really amazing time in the Maldives and I really hope that someday I can go back!
