By chance, I was planning to stop by Co Nam's pig intestine restaurant on the same street for breakfast, when I suddenly saw the cool blue sign of the pho restaurant, and saw that the pho restaurant had air conditioning (a big plus in this weather), so I stopped by to experience it.
The restaurant space is also small, the parking space is only about 5 cars, but the dining tables are neatly arranged, the restaurant has air conditioning and heat-insulating plastic curtains that are often seen in cold storages, so you can rest assured to enjoy pho in a space that is cooler than the outside temperature. In addition to pho dishes, the restaurant also sells wild honey, I tried it and found it quite good.
The main menu of the restaurant is pho with popular beef meats like other pho shops, including chicken pho, and more special when there is also Gia Lai dry pho. After a while of choosing, I ordered a full bowl of beef pho and a bowl of dry chicken pho.
Unfortunately, the beef and chicken pho dishes use the same beef pho broth, but the restaurant cooks it well. Although the owner's family is originally from the rice fields of Thai Binh, in my opinion, the pho broth has a more Southern flavor, perhaps because the family has been in the pho business for a long time in the South before moving here (since 2009), the broth has a light herbal aroma, a clear beef scent and a sweet taste, the light yellow beef fat color is eye-catching, I feel that they do not abuse MSG, too much spices, so those who often feel dizzy like building a crush can rest assured. The minus point is that the green onions are sliced a bit crookedly, so it is a bit unsightly.
On the table is a box of very fresh herbs and looks like you want to eat it right away. Homemade chili sauce is very spicy, just add a little. The black sauce is also homemade, by buying soybeans, grinding, cooking, filtering, and seasoning to reduce the salty taste. And there is also a jar of pickled garlic that often appears in Northern pho shops. Cannot lack lemon, sliced chili, fish sauce, and satay.
+ Review of beef pho:
- The broth I mentioned above.
- The meat feels FRESH like the name of the restaurant:
. The rare meat is thinly sliced, blanched just right, and melts in your mouth.
. The brisket is soft and juicy, not dry, and is sliced thick enough to be enjoyed.
. The beef balls are normal, not very special.
