A must-visit!
Passing by Finca Canarias we were attracted by its ecological plantation so that the day after we stopped by. Despite covid, it was open and still offering visits to (the few) visitors. Elisa immediately welcomed us and led us to a super interesting visit through the outside aloe vera fields, explaning all the details about aloe cultivation as well as other typical plants and flowers of Tenerife. She also showed us a beautiful greenhouse replicating the diversity of plants growing in Tenerife, including ananas plants (never seen before!), banana plants and many others. We then assisted to the process of extracting the juice from aloe vera leaves and and we tried it directly on our skin!! We learnt so many interesting aspects about this extraordinary plant and its plantation! They also have a super well furnished shop where they sell their orgànic products. I find them just great, so their quality is totally worth the price! Also, thanks to our purchase, we had two products as gifts - which was much appreciated :) Elisa really took the time to explain the details of every product we asked her about and guided us with much care. Even if there were 2 other customers she made sure she was done with us before moving on to them. Besides, she is really nice and friendly!

Excelent experience!
Even if you don't, actually the Palmetum in Santa Cruz was just pure awesome. We absolutely loved seeing the exotic plants and flowers from all over the world, ranging from Brazil to India, to the Canary Islands, to Morocco, Madagascar, Australia, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, etc. etc. Simply splendid. And just so cool, literally! It was 34C° when we were there and the lovely trees provided a lot of natural shade for us to cool down too.
Honestly, words can't really describe the colors, the patterns, the styles, so in essence, the diversity of the flowers and plants on display. Just go see it for yourself. Must-see 5/5

Fairytale Hike
We adored the scenery. Arrived to Cruz d. Carmen, visited the information center with a very helpful employee giving us many tips and started the hike around - did the Sentiero hike which is fairly short but can be demanding as the path can be slippery and steep. The air and humidity is incredible, coming here after desert environment of Montaña Blanca was incredibly refreshing. Had a lunch (12 euros for bread, soup, main course, desert and wine/water) in a restaurant opposite the parking lots. The road to the park is not for the faint of hearts, it is very wet, narrow and has many curves.

Like stepping back in time
This poorly advertised gem is booked at hotel Sandos San Blas on the boardwalk edge of San Blas resort. The natural reserve is like a mini Grand canyon, with great live commentary delivered through headsets, as actors took us back through time. The volcano shaped the land, then Tenerife Guanches lived there before conquering settlers moved in. Interactive experience is followed by a walk into the steep sided reserve. Raft trip across the reservoir feels like a film set. €15 for non hotel guests. Visit the hotel bar afterwards, great cocktails and a lovely setting.

Golfo Italiano
We took a short (25 min) taxi ride from our hotel (Ritz Carlton Abama) to play the Adeje to mix things up golf wise and we were glad we did. The weather as you can see from the pics was a little overcast but added drama to the stunning scenery that surrounds Adeje GC. With the ocean along one side and the mountains as a backdrop it is really stunning but can get a little breezy at times. Weather aside our experience was a good one albeit it got off to a shaky start. Mrs L fairly new to the sport is fairly nervous playing with others, especially people she hasn't yet met. I think we all suffer first tee nerves from time to time, I suppose its just that we all want to get off the tee showing we can at least hit a semi decent shot. However the last thing any novice needs is the pressure of playing with single handicap golfers, its no good for the novice and likewise Im sure not enjoyable for someone with a single figure handicap? Anyway the course was extremely busy (think it was around a BH weekend early Dec) we sat in our golf cart adjacent to the starter hut nervously waiting to see our playing partners. A buggy pulled up behind with two young men in it, who certainly looked like golfers and as I got out of my cart to introduce myself saw they were heading for the 'championship' tee! "Oh I exclaimed, playing of the big boys tee eh?" introducing myself at the same time. They were very polite and went to explain one of them was an Italian pro marking a card, which immediately put the willies up Mrs L (figuratively speaking) We had to wait a while for the group ahead to clear as it was obvious this pair could strike the ball a country mile and with us playing off the forward tee wait for them. I was delighted to see my novice golfing better half nail her drive down the first to relive and nerves / tension and we both enjoyed a great round of golf. After a slow start on the first few holes, which saw us waiting a while on each tee the group in front sped up and it turne

Playa de las Americas
The busy beach of Playa de las Americas in Tenerife is such a vidid place during the day. So many (for some even too many) people gather for sunbathing and having a few drinks. I like to spend some time in the beach restaurants to have lunch and watch the busy area during the peak hours.
While passing by later during the day. I was wondering why so many people like to gather together at Play de las Americas in Tenerife early in the evening. Many had cameras ready so I knew there would be something worth seeing. I decided to wait for a while with them and what I saw was a magnificent sunset, one of the best I have ever seen and I have seen many.
When the sun is starting to set, the beach slowly empties and people move towards the beach boulevard to do shopping and eating in the numerous restaurants nearby. But this is something you should consider not missing: the sunset. There are numerous places where it can be seen but the view is really worth seeing. Nothing blocks the view when the sun slowly disappears to the horizon and colors the sky to reddish orange before the darkness. It’s really a moment to say goodbye for the present day and hope to see the sun again tomorrow.
You can access Playa de las Americas from the road TF-1 that goes around Tenerife. From here it’s also very handy to go to a day trip to the Teide volcano. There are numerous hotels and restaurants of all price ranges at the area.

Tenerife is the most visited of the Canarian islands. Infact, when I considered it there were extremely good flight deals going on. And from what I had read or heard, it sounded like a great beach destination. But I found more than that. It has a bustling club scene and beaches that stretch on for miles.
Located off the coast of the Western Sahara, it has such a unique landscape. The volcanic activity has created a diverse range of habitats on the island, from lush forests to barren volcanic landscapes, which support a rich array of flora and fauna. So fascinating.
When in tenerife, please be sure to explore the pirate cave Poris de Candelaria and ride the cable car up to the active volcano while you're there. Because Tenerife's volcanic history is a key part of its identity and makes it a unique and fascinating destination. #100waysoftravel #beachlife #canaryislands #tenerife #holiday

Beautiful star gazing that I won’t forget in my life
This will be one of my unforgettable trip in my life.
The weather is very nice and I am able to capture the galaxy with my iPhone only.
Our stargazing adventure in Tenerife and absolute highlight of our trip! The experience with nothing short of magical. We drove to a remote location array from the city lights. The night skies was technically clear, a canvas of twinkling stars stretching as far as I could see.
Our guy was also a very knowledgeable and passionate astronomer who expertly navigate the constellations, sharing fascinating stories and facts. We will provide it with telescope, given us an up close view of planets, distance galaxies, and even shooting stars the guys enthusiasm was contagious and his ability to simplify complex concept made it easy for everyone to understand and appreciate the wonders of the cosmos.

Green hills speak of parting in new words
On the last day of our trip, we planned a long hiking route, determined to take one last vigorous walk. The route is 13 kilometers long, and if you discount the beginning and end, the middle section is almost a flat path laid out halfway up the mountain, then it descends to the beach, and finally enters a valley before climbing back up to the starting point, which is quite strenuous. This route is quite famous, not only because you can enjoy both sea and mountain views along the way, but also because the path is not too difficult, resulting in a higher number of visitors (compared to being completely deserted)! While playing on the beach, we didn't notice that the originally clear sky had stealthily filled with dark clouds, quietly pressing in from behind. We hurried on our way, but it was too late, and the raindrops pitter-pattered from sparse to dense, and in just about ten minutes, several mountain paths had turned into streams. Wearing soaked clothes and shivering from the cold, I comforted myself: This isn't rain, it's just heaven not wanting to let us go tomorrow, crying a storm! With that thought, I didn't feel so unlucky anymore.
Overall, the scenery of the Canary Islands can be very beautiful, but there are also many places that are truly ugly! Banana houses covered with plastic tarps everywhere, haphazardly constructed buildings, and nearly bare mountain ranges... Staying for two or three months is fine, but any longer would feel confining and oppressive! After all, an island is an island, and once you've seen it all, there's nowhere else to go! Of course, we would still like to come again, to properly walk all the paths of the island, because, after all, its beauty is intoxicating!
Crazy fun time
Amazing place
They moved us to amazing room when we asked to change, reviews are true about our the shade and people taking the sun beds. The rooms are really nice but ask if you don’t want to be facing the Carpark as the if you go on the front side of the hotel you can see the sea. It’s good that it’s adults and children and separate pools if you do want peace
