Inside, it is a multi level clock tower which allows you to better explain where the name teluk intan possibly came from and the history, evolution and changes over the years. Worth a visit and do come from 8-5pm. Non air conditioned. see how people throw coins and money to the bottom too

Hawayi is a go to place for locals who live at Teluk Intan, which is worth a visit and try if you visit this place which is 2-3 hours away from Ipoh. Here, you will be able to get desserts from RM 5. Also, there is a good variety and even mains like curry mee for others who wana try. Day trip with a good friend on Christmas day. Just to satisfy craving for foods. Made few stops. One of it was this unassuming makan place. Nestled on the bank of the Perak river that supplied the freshest udang galah or the fresh water lobster. The bowl of mee udang galah was scrumptious. Delicous. Seriously. The fresh river patin here is super super fresh, we ordered masak lada and masak lemak cili api, both were super delicious. We also odered udang galah goreng butter, this is one dish which you must order when you are here. I must highlight again that the river prawns and crabs here is so fresh and the price is well acceptable and reasonable. #2023travelwish M Gulam Rasu is a nice local eatery stall opened 24 hours that sells a wide range of halal food (like a food court) at a reasonable price. It allows you to eat in big groups and also choose what you fancy individually. Uniquely it is popular for its fried chicken ayam and also its roti telur that comes with curry and sambal chilli. must try! You have to try this one day as it is only around RM 6 with a drink.

Nice attraction in Teluk Intan and definitely an insta worthy spot. It is a food centre that is open at night and yet interesting cluster of restaurants with a variety of stalls and visited by many people on bikes and car. Some of the food options here include Tom yum, western food like your lamb, chicken and mutton chop, steamboat, seafood, Nasi Ayam etc. Hence if your group is undecided on what to eat, maybe popping by here would give you some inspiration. A series of colourful decorations made of items like car tyres, pipes which are recycled can be found. It is interesting to see how these items are made, and gave me inspiration for my own garden as well. Nice plants are also at the entrance. As it is outdoors, visit when it is cloudy - avoid hot sun during noon and rainy days to take photos at this place. Dress bland to let this colourful backdrop stand out. Vintage and traditional looking on the outside (it’s also not surprising that inside is also vintage looking with vintage clocks and a unique one made of a mega sized CD-rom). Food and drinks here are both delicious. one must try would be its Asam laska, a unique type of laska that is found more commonly at Malaysia. It’s fresh (can tell from vegetables) and you can also choose to have a mix of noodles. Drinks wise, their coffee and neslo (nescafe named for coffee plus milo) are worth trying. It’s nice hence they do have packaged coffee on sale here at the ‘cashier’ counter too. It covers food items such as different vegetable, kinds of rice and meat as well. Uniquely it cooks fried chicken outside within sight of consumers and you can choose and pick which ones you want. You have to try their briyani made fresh with yellow rice as a result - pretty unique and not found commonly in other countries. It is made with spicies and even raisin. Located at Teluk Intan, and is located centrally so worth a visit if you want a meal that is more authentically real in taste for the day.

Hydrabad Curry House is a nice indian eatery stall that sells many different food items at a reasonable price - around RM 3 and above. It covers food items such as prata, mixed vegetable rice and noodles as well. Uniquely it resembles India and has both vegetarian and non vegetarian food segregated for people to select food. You have to try their prata made and cut into small square pieces - pretty unique and not found commonly in other countries. It is made well with the egg and prata. Located at Teluk Intan, and is located centrally so worth a visit if you want a meal that is more authentically Indian for the day.
