If you are in Auckland and plan to have a road trip, come to Taopo! (3 hours 20 mins drive from Auckland) You can visit Huka falls and then head to hot springs spa. We went to this hot spring spa recommended by my local friend. We book through online and got some discount there. We started with the terrace walk which included in the package. Walk along Te Kiri o Hinekai stream and hear native birdsong in harmony with the natural surrounds of cascading and flowing water, a gushing geyser and billowing steam. We spent about 2 hours in the pool. Taupo is a tourist city on the north shore of Lake Taupo. The lake is located in the heart of the North Island and to the south are three active volcanoes - Ruapehu, Ngaluho and Tongaro. The success of Peter Jackson's "Lord of the Rings" trilogy made the place internationally famous, the scenery of Mordor was taken from the Tongariro Walkway, and Mount Nauruhoe played "Mount Doom". Without the expensive special effects, the place actually looks cute.

It was so beautiful and we also walk around to see the nature and animal around.. went to a place to look for the whole family of Lions… We also play golf here The food here is nice.. Huka Falls is one of the must see place in Taupo. You could easily see the power and the beauty of the natural. We did the trail and bridge, the view from both sides is wonderful.
