Walking through the city, the streets are wide and lined with green trees, and whether it's the scenery or the pedestrians on the street, it all vaguely makes me feel like I am walking on the streets of Yili. 🇺🇿Traveling to Uzbekistan, I stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel Tashkent in Tashkent. Chorsu Bazaar in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, is a treasure trove of cute things! In the capital, Tashkent, there is a large bazaar called Chorsu Bazaar. It is easy to access by bus from the city. It is a place where local people come to do their daily shopping, so it is full of local atmosphere. I went to choose plates, which was my purpose before going. The colorful plates with geometric patterns and pomegranate motifs are very cute. It is so beautiful that I want them all. The food looks photogenic too. You can also purchase "Suzani", a traditional Uzbek craft, here. The hotel is located in a quiet alley, but you can walk to the attractions and restaurants. There are several small supermarkets in the alley, which is very convenient for buying snacks and drinks. The location is very good. ▫️ Room and service: Overall, the most impressive thing about this hotel is the service. Every staff member, whether at the front desk, restaurant, swimming pool, or guest room, is smiling and can communicate in English. They are very patient and will try their best to meet your needs. The hotel has complete facilities, including a restaurant, gym, swimming pool, and spa. Even if you don't use them, you can take a look. The swimming pool is especially beautiful. The guest room area is open-air, and you can sit in the corridor at night, which is very relaxing. Although the guest room is not large, it has everything you need and is very clean. A restaurant we quickly entered for dinner in Tashkent🍽️ It's close to the airport, we took a bus to get there and a taxi back🚕 The atmosphere inside the restaurant was nice and the food was delicious, but there was no English menu or photo menu, which made it a bit challenging😂💦 In Uzbekistan, each restaurant sets its own service charge between 0-20%, and this restaurant had a 20% service charge, so it was a bit pricey🫢 All the terminals at Tashkent Airport (international departures, arrivals, and domestic) are small and have almost no dining options, so this is a convenient restaurant to know about🤗✨ 11:00-23:00

I figured that visiting a mosque is the only thing to do in terms of sightseeing at 8am. The museums that my friend and I wanted to visit would not open until 10am. The Minor Mosque is a new mosque in Tashkent. Construction completed in 2014 before the Eid al-Fitr holiday. It has the capacity of accommodating 2,500 prayers at once. Known as the “White Mosque” in Tashkent, the Minor Mosque lived amply up to its name on the day of our visit. Its white marble exterior exuded an air of holiness. It stood pure, speckless and sparkly under the brilliance of the sun’s early rays. There are two minarets in the height of 38 meters. The structure consists also of two large portals, beautifully decorated with geometric patterns in blue and white, as well as Quran scripts. Although Uzbekistan is not considered fundamentalist, as an Islam country, the faith is well alive and practiced in Uzbekistan. The sinews of faith do bind the cultural fabric of the Muslim majority in Uzbekistan. This fact is seen when we witness the prayers at the mosques in the country. A word must be given here about the name of the mosque. To English speakers one would associate the Minor Mosque with the size of the mosque, and naturally wonders if there is indeed a “grand mosque” or “major mosque” as its counterpart. The Minor Mosque’s name is actually a geographical reference, as this part of Central Asia was known as Asia Minor in the ancient days. The Minor Mosque is, in fact, one of the largest mosques and religious centers in Tashkent and Uzbekistan.
