Taoyuan. Guishan District | REBORN Guishan Planting Laboratory
The "REBORN Guishan Plant Art Laboratory", which was officially opened in October, is the first local creation project founded by the architectural lifestyle brand @apricity.dev. The laboratory transformed an old American-style house into an aesthetic museum and held various exhibitions with the theme of plants. The original swimming pool in the outdoor area has been converted into a cafe called RëBORN CAFE, surrounded by trees and paths, creating a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. It is worth mentioning that RëBORN CAFE is the sister store of RëBORN CAFE. It provides a variety of drinks, and the drinks are finally provided to guests in easy-to-open cans.
Coming here is like providing a place for us who are busy running around in the city to stop and breathe. It makes people feel as if they are far away from the hustle and bustle and feel the purity and beauty of nature.

Caotuo Baozhang Temple
Caotuo Baozhang Temple, located in Caotuo, Guanyin, is often mispronounced by outsiders as 'Caoluo,' but it is actually 'Caotuo' (pronounced 'Tuo'). The temple is dedicated to the Heavenly Holy Mother. The temple is grand and majestic, approximately seven stories high. Upon entering the temple, visitors are usually struck by the imposing presence of the two guardian deities, Weituo and Jialan, on either side. These two guardians are tall and mighty, exuding an aura of authority without anger, making one take a second look. The main deity, Mazu, is kind and gentle, making people feel an urge to confide in her. How to get there? Navigate to Route 15, Taoyuan, Guanyin, Caotuo. This is a must-visit local temple for family trips, highly recommended for those who enjoy temple visits. We believe everyone will like it.

Due to recent rain, the trails are a bit slippery, so be careful. There are several trails in the park to choose from. We are heading to the triangulation point, so we will take the self-guided trail (about 3.5 kilometers). The stair facilities are quite good. The triangulation point and the observation deck above are still under maintenance, so we can't go up to see the view. The mountain area is cool, making it a good place to escape the heat.
The restaurant below the visitor center offers simple meals, coffee, and agricultural products.
Taoyuan Shrine: A Touch of Japanese Elegance in Taiwan
On the day I visited Taoyuan Shrine, I was deeply captivated by the surrounding natural environment. As I stepped into the shrine, towering trees and lush greenery greeted me, making it feel like I had entered a serene haven far removed from the hustle and bustle of the city. Passing through the torii gate, a gentle breeze brushed against my face, instantly relaxing me as if I had entered a space where time slowed down.
The shrine is not large, but it exudes a tranquil atmosphere. Walking along the stone path, sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting dappled shadows on the ground, while occasional bird songs added to the natural charm. The lack of many worshippers made the place even more peaceful, giving me time to calm my mind and enjoy a moment of solitude and self-reflection.
This experience made me appreciate the unique charm of the shrine. It is not just a tourist attraction but a place where one can find inner peace and tranquility. As I left, I felt a rare sense of peace and contentment. This space, filled with a blend of nature and culture, is undoubtedly an ideal place to regain inner calm.
Zhubei Fishing Harbor: A Paradise for Seafood Lovers in Taoyuan
🚩A Paradise for Seafood Lovers
Zhubei Fishing Harbor is renowned as one of the busiest fishing harbors in Taoyuan City. It is not only a hub for local seafood trade but also a must-visit culinary paradise for food enthusiasts. The harbor features alleys lined with stalls brimming with fresh catches. Fish, shrimp, and crabs freshly hauled from the sea glisten on ice, their aroma enticing visitors to buy a whole bag to take home. Whether you're looking for top-grade sashimi-quality fish or large crabs and live shrimp for hot pot, this place has it all at affordable prices, making bargain hunting a delightful experience.
🎉A Feast at Seafood Restaurants
Apart from buying seafood to cook at home, the seafood restaurants at Zhubei Fishing Harbor are an experience not to be missed. The area around the harbor is dotted with various seafood stalls and restaurants, most of which cook the freshly caught seafood into delicious dishes. Whether it's steamed grouper, garlic grilled shrimp, or braised crab, the dishes are mouth-watering. The freshly caught sashimi here is highly recommended for its sweet and fresh taste that turns first-timers into regulars. Many restaurants also offer private rooms, making them ideal for family gatherings or small celebrations.
👍Bustling Atmosphere
The bustling atmosphere of Zhubei Fishing Harbor is another highlight. During weekends, the harbor is packed with visitors shopping and dining, making parking spaces hard to find. The bustling scene of cars and people reflects the high popularity of this place. At dusk, the sunset reflects on the harbor's waters, with fishing boats gently swaying, creating a harmonious yet busy scene that attracts many photography enthusiasts to capture the beautiful moments. When tired, you can buy a refreshing hand-shaken drink from a nearby shop and relax by the pier, enjoying the gentle breeze.

It is very near to Taoyuan airport and I visit here because I need to fly out early in the morning the next day. This aquarium is modelled after the Hakkeijima Sea Paradise in Yokohama. I have been there before in Yokohama for countdown at the aquarium. The newer aquariums are incorporated with immersive technology which allows visitors to get closer to the natural habitats. There are hands on activities too at this aquarium. I recommend buying tickets online and apply discount to come to this Xpark aquarium.

The Novotel Taipei China Airlines Taoyuan Airport Hotel, located in the Taoyuan International Airport Park, will be renamed the Hyatt Hotel in the near future. It is really a pity for the Accor Group. I really hope Accor can support the Taiwan market more.
The hotel has a view of the airplane. Overall, the room is quite large and very comfortable. The swimming pool, gym and other facilities are also very complete, and there is also a pool table.
Then their Chinese restaurant is also very good. I recommend that even those who don’t live there can come and enjoy their roast duck👍

Ticket prices are 430 TWD for students, 600 TWD for adults. I find the ticket prices quite high, but you get to see a lot of interesting things. Right next to it is the largest outlet in Taipei, perfect for shopping.

Taoyuan Daxi Old Street newly opened restaurant - Taswo
There is a new restaurant in Daxi Old Street. In addition to catering, this Taswo also has a B&B! The boss lady liked Taz from the Tweety cartoon, so she named her that way. She's really cute.
Braised pork rice set 150 yuan
The meal comes with soup and side dishes. Today’s soup is wonton soup. The wontons are delicious. The soup is made from radish soup and is delicious. The side dishes are served with dried tofu and kelp. The dried tofu should be because it is a famous product of Taoyuan✨ But I personally love tofu... dried tofu is okay 🤣 Remember to mix the braised pork rice before eating! (There should be no one who doesn’t mix it.)
Pan-fried tender pork chop rice set 190 yuan
A large piece of pork chop is spread on top of the rice, and it is also decorated with Qingjiang vegetables. The pork chop is quite tender ~ but a little oily.
In addition, there is some winter melon tea and cheese for dessert~~After finishing these...the boss even brought out mung bean soup and said it was the dessert of the set meal! 😂I want to say that the menu didn’t write it down, so I was pleasantly surprised and I felt so full...🥹

The third best food in the world at "Taoyuan T2 Airport"😋
I have been wanting to share this article for a long time. You must think that the food at the airport is expensive and not delicious, and you may even think that you don’t have time to eat at the airport? However, the travel platform announced the ranking of the world's 100 airport food in 2023, and "Taoyuan Airport" won the third place🥰
🌟Although I go in and out of T1 most often, there is really nothing worth writing about; area A/D has steak rice bowl, pasta, and beef noodles, area B/C has golden three wheats + snacks Elly, T1 is full first and then Go 😂
🌟Recommended for international tourists who have time to eat or transfer:
✔️ Xiao Wang’s Melon (T2 Terminal 3F Departure Area) Michelin Recommended
Our restaurant on Huaxi Street showcases the dominance of soy sauce-based braised pork rice with fat and white meat. It is paired with melon broth and white pepper to bring it to a new level👍
✔️ Shuangyue Food Club (T2 Terminal 4F Departure Area) Michelin recommendation
Undoubtedly my favorite restaurant in Taipei, the Love Hate Chili Seed Noodles + Garlic or Peeled Chili Chicken Soup Set is super delicious! Braised side dishes directly shine💕
✔️Matsu Xincun Wheel Cake (area next to T2 Terminal C3)
It’s simple, full of fillings and crispy, and the pearl milk tea flavor is very popular
✔️Le Mout (T2 Terminal 3F Departure Area)
Produced by Chen Lan, the number one female chef in Asia's top 50, you will not be disappointed
✔️ VWI by CHADWANG (T2 Terminal 3F Departure Area)
Airports have started to provide hand brewing, which is really good news for coffee lovers; it was founded by WBRC champion "Wang Ce", and the product is so delicious☕️
✔️ Xingbo Coffee Simple Kafa (T2 Terminal 4F Departure Area)
The store of world barista champion Wu Zelin, the Huashan store has always been very popular.
✔️ Lin Chongming’s Casserole Fish Head (T2 Terminal 3F Departure Area)
Although I personally don’t like it much, Chiayi Light is indeed very local.
💯There are many restaurants that I have not shared, such as VEGE CREEK recommended for vegetarians, Wanfang Ice Room if you want to eat Hong Kong style, Chun Shui Tang for bubble tea lovers, Lao Dong Beef Noodles/Halal Beef Noodles, for those who have the opportunity and time to eat Hurry up👍

Taoyuan | Urban Pseudo-Camping | Lulu Coffee.
Today I had fun in Taoyuan~
A very cool coffee shop
The overall theme is camping style~ For someone like me who has never camped before
I took it as a camping experience
Their meals come in a lunch box style (and there's even a thermal bag)
It really has a camping vibe
The chairs in the shop are the same
And there's a cute cat, it sleeps inside the tent~
Super cute and doesn't bite
The food is also delicious😋 There are main dishes and even fitness meals to choose from~
I want to go to Hong Kong to enjoy delicious food~

Address No. 99, Minfeng 1st St, Longtan District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan 325.
Highlights: The Saw Seen Woo Ying Cheng is a nice place to spend with friends and family. As I wandered through its streets, I felt like I was stepping back in time. The ancient buildings and narrow alleyways told stories of days gone by, each corner holding secrets waiting to be discovered. The atmosphere was bustling yet tranquil, with locals going about their daily routines amidst the backdrop of historical architecture.
Exploring its streets and immersing myself in its rich heritage seems like an adventure filled with excitement and wonder. Just like Saw Seen Woo Ying Cheng, Hong Kong promises to be a place of endless fascination.

Address: No. 246, Donglong Rd, Longtan District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan 32571.
Highlights: The Longyuan Temple is the belief centre on Longtan Street and one of the starting points of the development of Longtan. It is dedicated to the Lord of Five Grains. There are many time-honoured snack brands gathered around the temple, and the scene is lively.
There is a shed in the square in front, and there are some artistic activities here during festivals. There is a night market nearby with a lot of delicious food.
I want to travel to Hong Kong to learn about the legends and stories behind the founding of temples in Hong Kong.

Amazing Longtan Lake
#winhkflight
Address: 325, Taiwan, Taoyuan City, Longtan District, No. 11.
Highlights: The Longtan Lake is beautiful and accessible at the same time. There is a light show at night.
The views were great and the staff very helpful and efficient. What more can I say but experience a blowout of Water Kitty and the surroundings. We had ice-cold drinks and ice cream after disembarking. I had great fun and laughed most of the time because paddling is exhausting. You can take the MRT Blue Line and get off at BL02 then take the bus 709.
I want to travel to Hong Kong to relax by the tranquil shores of a lake in Hong Kong.

Airport guide! Where is the luggage scale? Don’t worry if you don’t have time to buy souvenirs during your trip!
Taoyuan Airport Terminal 1 Guide!
📍Luggage
When going abroad, you are most afraid of discovering that you are overweight when measuring your luggage at the check-in counter!
Because if you find out you are overweight when you arrive at the counter, you can only use expensive luggage carriers 🥲
So I usually go to the airport some time in advance to measure the weight of my luggage!
The luggage scale at Taoyuan Airport Terminal 1 is near check-in counter No. 12
(Enter the departure hall and go to the right side to the end)
After seeing counter No. 12, turn around and walk to the toilet at the end to see it!
What's very considerate is that if you find that you are overweight, the postal mailing counter is just on the right.
You can refer to the price and then compare the price and time of luggage storage.
See if you want to send it by post.
(Generally, I will send items home by post if I am not in a hurry to receive them, because shipping by sea is still much cheaper than consignment)
📍Souvenirs
If you don’t have time to buy souvenirs during your trip, don’t worry~~
The best product in Taiwan's pineapple cake world - Weire Hill
You can see it as soon as you enter the departure hall of Terminal 1.
Currently, there are 10-pack and 2-pack pineapple cakes and apple cakes on the counter~~
In addition, one that is very popular recently - Dajia Master's Exploded Taro Cake
It is sold at the comprehensive gift shop near the luggage scale~~
The comprehensive gift shop also sells other famous souvenir brands!
⭐Please note that some countries cannot bring food containing egg yolk into the country!
Not all the items in the souvenir shop can be imported smoothly into any country you are going to, so remember to confirm with the store staff if you have any doubts! To avoid taking it back home only to find that you can’t enter the country and have to throw it away on the spot.
⭐After comparing the prices, the price of food souvenirs sold at Taoyuan Airport is the same as that of general stores and our store! You can buy with confidence ~ you will not be treated as a dish!
(There are some differences in the number and packaging of packages~~The reusable bags that get ten for free at Weireshanshan Airport have the 101 pattern!)
📍Waiting for flight
The B1R terminal is at the bottom of the airport, so it is recommended to reserve time to walk there!
The waiting room is divided into gates 1 to 8.
The B1R terminal was really confusing when I first saw it, and the boarding time board was not easy to understand.
(The fastest way is to confirm with the personnel at any boarding gate)
Generally, when you are about to board the plane, there will be an announcement telling everyone that the flight is at gates 1 to 8 in the B1R terminal, and the aircraft number will also be displayed on the board at the boarding gate.
(However, if you arrive at B1R early to wait for your flight, you may not be able to find this information, because the exact gate location has not been listed yet, which is different from the general method where the departure room number is the boarding gate number. )
The lighting in the waiting room is a bit dim, and there are toilets and water dispensers.
The circles on the central circular pillar are places for charging mobile phones. Just turn off the mobile phone and charge it (Picture 9)
Generally, people waiting at B1R need to take a transportation bus to the tarmac and carry their luggage onto the plane when boarding! (Figure 14)
📍Tiger Air Flights--Onboard Charging
Picture 15 This time I took Tiger Airways to Macau~ You can see the seat size at a glance 😆
⭐You cannot use mobile power on the plane. If you don’t have time to charge it in the waiting room, you can prepare a mobile phone charging cable. After the plane flies smoothly, the blue light of the charging hole will light up under the dining table and near the chair legs. Charging~~

Taoyuan Wagyu Beef (Cheap Wagyu Shabu Shabu)
The Wagyu Hot Pot will open next to Taoyuan Station in 2023. The price is very cheap. I finally tried it after looking at it for a long time. The interior decoration is industrial style, and I don't like the low ceiling. The vegetable area has a variety of varieties, and there is unlimited beef curry. The beverage area is also very rich, with a variety of drinks.
The highlight of the wagyu section is that there are three types of American wagyu. Among them, the frosty one is the most melt-in-your-mouth, and the other two are also delicious. As for other meats, there is no need to try them. The soup part was disappointing. We ordered kombu and sukiyaki, but they didn't taste very good, which was a pity.
The overall menu and configuration of the Wagyu Wagyu Shabu are very similar to the King Wagyu Shabu. Although the overall quality is not as good as the King Wagyu Shabu, the price is cheaper and the beef is delicious, so it is very suitable for people with a smaller budget.

TPE Airport
We flew in and out of Taipei Taoyuan Airport (TPE) to visit Taiwan. The international terminal is very convenient and has lots of shops and food venues. We noticed that Taiwan loves Sanrio characters, and the airport also had several cute Sanrio shops. There were also several stores selling famous Taiwan snacks and souvenirs. Small rest areas and art galleries are scattered around the terminal as well to help travelers pass the time.

Strolling the Streets of Taoyuan🛣️🏨🏬🏙️
From the moment I arrived in Taoyuan, Taiwan, the city's energy enthralled me. As I explored the streets, Taoyuan revealed itself to be a modern metropolis pulsing with life.
Venturing down bustling Zhongshan Road, I was immersed in urban buzz. Gleaming skyscrapers tower above the sidewalks, while shoppers pore over sparkling store displays. The aroma of street food tempts from every corner, from fried chicken cutlets to savory soups. Locals on scooters zip by as I dodge and weave through the rivers of pedestrians.
Ducking down a side street, I stumbled upon the intricate artwork of the Taoyuan Street Art Village. Bold graffiti murals in vivid colors transform the walls into an outdoor art gallery. Here, creative energy spills onto the streets.
Further down, the impressive domed roof of the Taoyuan Metro Line 1 station catches my eye. This sleek transportation hub connects the city, blending modern style with practicality.
At Taoyuan Martyrs' Shrine, I find respite from the city rush. The graceful Chinese architecture honors those who sacrificed for Taiwan. People practise tai chi in the shade of trees, moving slowly in the quiet oasis.
Walking west, bustling diners at the Liuhe Night Market tempt me with wafts of traditional xiaolongbao dumplings. The smells and smiles entice me to grab a tasty snack and simply watch the crowd go by.
With its jewels of culture, dashes of nature, rivers of flavors and currents of humanity, Taoyuan intrigues. Here I found a city alive with possibility at every turn. At day's end, I was already eager to see what new adventures tomorrow's Taoyuan streets might hold.

local delights in Taoyuan
recommeded by the locals in Taoyuan City, we popped by 金和冬粉鱼丸 , an over 50 years old shop. A down to earth shop front, this place served some delicious local food.
1. Melon pork rice - similar to Braised pork rice, the melon pork rice was more flavourful. First time trying it and fell in love with it.
2. Soup with fishball stuff with meat and vermicelli - the fishball was chewy, and the soup was flavourful.

Starlux A350 Business Class fun
#wecreate
The highlight of the trip! ❤️
With a J cabin so pretty, it is no wonder Starlux’s business class has garnered such rave reviews 🍀
The classy brown / black tones of the seat was such a delight for the almost 4-hour flight - fancy seat functions, electronic window, plenty storage space, zero gravity position, and of course fantastic headphones ✌🏻
The beef short ribs char siu is one of the best business class meals I’ve ever had in my life - I want to eat it again! Coupled with 4 servings of the Baileys Martini, the meal was memorable for sure. Especially when I knocked out for 30mins thereafter heh 🤣
Service was fantastic served up by the youthful crew and there was no sense of hurried service anywhere despite it being a full cabin. Kudos to the team for being prompt and polite to a fault 🎊
This marks the end of my Starlux-ury hop and I’m so glad I did it ✈️
Starlux Galactic Lounge chillax
#wecreate
Ah, STARLUX’S flagship lounge! 🔥
I almost didn’t get to experience this as I was given an invitation to Plaza Premium at check in and informed that the reason was because the airline was expecting full house. But I decided to chiong as fast as I can to beat the crowd anyways! 😂
So glad I did!
The shimmering brown tones of the lounge was such a welcome respite from the airport madness and I was ushered into peace and tranquility by the smiley staff who offered the on-demand breakfast menu 🍲
The lounge itself is not big and I was able to get some nice shots being the first pax at 545am. Solo seats and communal options were available, with a TV and magazine selection for those who need the distraction. 📺
Food wise, a small buffet selection is available with the usual breakfast-y stuff but the highlight is the on-demand menu! I tried both the speciality ramen (very salty leh) and soy bean set (not bad la) just to check them off. ✌🏻
Service was all smiley efficiency by the youthful team and soiled items were cleared fairly quickly as well 🍀
The space filled up quickly thereafter so please come early if you can to snag a spot! 🎊
Historical Buildings Of Daxi Old Street

Taoyuan is a city located in Taiwan, about less than an hour drive from the city of Taipei. There are many tourists attractions to go where one of which is the Daxi Old Street located at Heping Rd, Daxi District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan 335. Most people hire a driver to drive here in Taiwan, but we did a self drive and parking here can be a problem if you arrive later in the morning as these old streets are narrow and have limited space let alone parking.
Daxi Old Street is lined with many old shop houses that sells local Taiwanese snacks, souvenirs and handicrafts. Apart from these there are also restaurants here that are quite popular among the locals. This is where we had to try the local steamed chicken(abit tough) and the smelly toufu but soaked in mala. The fried smell toufu smell was too overpowering so instead we had the other version of it. Well the experience was not too bad, but you have to be someone who like traditional Chinese food to begin with.
