I went to Penang Island with my Japanese friend in November! I had heard that the weather in November isn't great, but miraculously, it didn't rain, and we enjoyed our trip without needing an umbrella!! The hotel we stayed at in Penang Island was 'Hompton by the Beach, Penang'. While searching for hotels in Penang Island on trip.com, this hotel was recommended. It is a four-star hotel with beautiful photos, and it was 67% off, so I immediately booked it after consulting with my friend! 🏖️ Atmosphere/Facilities: When we arrived at the hotel, the lobby wasn't very spacious but it was clean, and the staff were friendly, making the check-in process smooth. The room was also clean and tidy, with a beautiful ocean view from the window. The amenities were well-stocked, including towels and bathrobes. The shower had good water pressure and hot water was readily available. They also provided body lotion, slippers, and an iron. However, there was no conditioner, so if you need hair care products, it's best to bring your own! I met up with my friend later at the hotel, and they were also very satisfied with the comfort of the hotel! The view from the window was great, with a clear view of the sea in the morning and beautiful night scenery at night. The surroundings were quiet, allowing for a good night's sleep. My friend had a Zoom meeting using the hotel's Wi-Fi the next morning, and there were no issues. We hadn't included breakfast in our booking, but we decided to have breakfast at the hotel. We went to the front desk in the morning and added breakfast to our stay. We enjoyed a delicious buffet breakfast with an ocean view. There were a variety of options including Japanese, Western, and desserts, making it hard to choose what to eat. During breakfast, a staff member approached us and asked us to write a Google review. In return, our breakfast fee was waived. I'm not sure if we were randomly selected or if it was part of a campaign, but we were very lucky to have our meal for free! This hotel is a four-star hotel, but it has a vibe similar to Hilton Pattaya, which we really liked. There's a beach nearby, so you can go and enjoy the sea whenever you like. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Penang Island!! It's about a 40-minute taxi ride from the airport. 💰 Price per person: We stayed in a Deluxe Room (without breakfast) for two nights, and the total cost for two people was 4,165 Baht (approximately 18,745 Yen). This works out to 4,686 Yen per person per night! It's unbelievable that such a comfortable hotel is available at this price...!! Breakfast can be added for MYR48 (approximately 1,645 Yen) per person! In Malaysia, there is a tourism tax when staying at hotels, so we paid 6 MYR (approximately 206 Yen) locally. We had a really wonderful time at this hotel for two days^^

#malaysiatrip 📍Oceano Symphony, Penang Had a chill and restful afternoon here at Oceano Symphony. It is a scenic café nestled at Tanjung Bungah, offering stunning sea views of Penang island! The café is huge and spacious with plenty of seating areas, both indoor and outdoor! We were there in the afternoon but it is shaded and airy, so it was alright and not too hot or sweaty. They serve a huge variety of food and drinks selection, mostly western dishes like pasta big breakfast and more! We ordered their coffee and tiramisu which was great! Views was lovely, ambiance was relaxing which made it such an ideal café for friends and family hang out, dates, small talks. Definitely returning for the view and vibes!

The construction of the new mosque started in 2003, and cost RM15 million to build. It was first opened to the public in January 2005. 👀 I may be biased when making this review, because this restaurant has been with me throughout my whole college life as I stayed in the hostel in Tanjung Bungah. But all that aside, I really do think they serve one of the best Indian food around. Especially all the different types of roti they offer - economical and hits all the right spot! When I went back for a meal, it was so nostalgic and the taste maintained the same. Quality food, just as I remembered. The highlight for me would always be the Banana Leaf set, with fried squid. Rainbow Paradise Beach Resort 📍 527 Jalan Tanjung Bungah, Tanjung Bungah, Pulau Penang. Location: very good, is on the main street, easy to access. The room is quite old, is a service apartment converted into Hotel. Inside, the room is very spacious, with a mini kitchen. All is looks old, bit still ok. The corridor needs to improve on the maintenance part; it looks dirty. Amenities are not bad; the swimming pool is always crowded with kids and families, and the mini market and salon are in the basement. What I enjoy the most is the beach, which beautiful compare to other parts of this area, and the restaurant on the beach selling nice drinks and food, with a fire dance show attraction. There is a special kid's menu station. The service is excellent especially the F&B manager, En Isahak. There are 2 pools. The infinity pool at 3rd floor is very nice. Hotel location is at a quiet place. No night activities in the vicinity. Some Malay food places and a Chinese seafood restaurant nearby. The view of sunrise and sunset here is spectacular. Plus, our room is on the 27th floor, which makes everything better. This hotel is also a minute walking distance to the beach. Location near Batu Feringhi and not far from Georgetown. The hotel got swimming pool which is quite big and beside beach. If you choose seaview room, the view was beautiful. The balcony is privacy because people from next room cannot see you at balcony. Easy to find eatery but need to drive. The only cons is the room is quite old and the TV is quite small with a distance away from the bed, not many channels as well. However, this is still a great beach resort to stay in.
