After arriving in Oman, I was genuinely surprised; it is definitely a treasure of a country. It retains ancient traditions while also having a modern vibe. The country has a rich folk culture, and the people are simple and hospitable, known as 'the most gentle country in the Middle East'. Although the Gulf region of the Middle East is generally labeled as 'dangerous', Oman is one of the safest countries in the world.
