Oyama Ryokuchi Park 大山緑地 This is a park with a Japanese shrine nearby, allowing us to experience a cool and peaceful atmosphere. We went for a leisurely walk alone because the park and shrine are not far from the train station. With a cool atmosphere, there are people walking with their dogs. Sanshu Takahama "Oni no Michi" is a walking course themed on Sanshu tiles, located just east of the Kinuura Ohashi Bridge that crosses from the Chita Peninsula to Honshu. Takahama is the number one producer of Sanshu tiles in Japan and has a pottery culture. Morimae Park, the entrance to the "Oni no Michi", has many monuments made from tiles. Sanshu tiles are particularly famous for oni tiles, which is why the area was named "Sanshu Takahama Oni Michi". Looking up at the top of Morimae Park, you can see the Kannon statue peeking out from the top of the mountain. After walking up the narrow tiled path, you will arrive at Kinuura Kannon. Looking back at the path you came up, you will see the chimney of a kiln, which is made of brick and has a very charming feel. This museum is a museum and library where you can enjoy art and ceramic tile culture at the same time. On the first floor, there are exhibits of historical and cultural materials and actual tiles of "Sanshu tiles", which boast a 60% share of the Japanese market, and there is a museum shop in the back. The second floor is the museum and library. When I went, the "World Exhibition of Mari Yamazaki", the manga artist of the movie "Thermae Romae", was being held.
