【Kyoto Prefecture】A Must-See for Rabbit Lovers! The Adorable Rabbits of Okazaki Shrine.
I visited the Okazaki Shrine, a shrine that's a hit on social media for being filled with rabbits. The rabbits scattered throughout the shrine grounds seem to change expressions depending on the angle, and I couldn't stop taking photos. The area, including the shrine grounds, was once a habitat for wild rabbits, and it has long been said that rabbits serve as messengers for the local deity.
Okazaki Shrine is worshipped as a deity of fertility and safe childbirth, as the enshrined deities are associated with fertility and rabbits are known for their prolific breeding.

【Kyoto】A Spot to Appreciate Masterpieces Outdoors.
If you want to visit overseas art museums but find it challenging, a recommended place is the Kyoto Prefectural Togaku Meiga no Niwa (Garden of Ceramic Board Masterpieces).
Located in Shimogamo, Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City, this outdoor museum designed by Tadao Ando displays famous paintings from various eras, transferred onto ceramic boards✨
These durable ceramic board paintings perfectly reproduce the beauty of masterpieces, allowing you to appreciate them under the sunlight🩷
With an admission fee of only 100 yen, it's also attractively affordable!
It's a must-see spot for those looking for a tourist route in Kyoto that isn't just about temples and shrines👍
Overwhelming Architectural Beauty! The Kyoto City Kyocera Museum of Art.
The Kyoto City Kyocera Museum of Art is located in Okazaki Park in Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture.
While you can enjoy art exhibitions, the recommended experience here is to enjoy the building itself!
Thanks to the renovation by architects Jun Aoki and Tetsuo Nishizawa, you can now enjoy the stunning architectural beauty, which makes for amazing photographs!
There is a charge to view the art exhibitions, but it's nice that you can enjoy the building for free if that's all you're interested in ☺️
They will take care of your suitcase at the entrance of the museum, making it a very tourist-friendly place 🩷
【Kyoto】A recommended temple for a cute girls' trip, where every place is charming.
The birthplace of green tea, Uji-Tawara, is home to Shoujuin.
This temple, true to Kyoto's character, has a history of 800 years and is also known as the Wind Chime Temple.
Shoujuin, however, has a cute spot that is also recommended for girls' trips!
It's the guest hall with heart-shaped boar's eye windows called 'Sokuten no Ma' 🩵
Boar's eye (inome) is one of the traditional Japanese patterns that has been used for about 1,400 years in the architectural decorations of temples and shrines.
Additionally, there are 160 ceiling paintings, which are also cute 🩷
The temple staff even suggest lying down to look at them, and it was truly breathtaking when I did ✨
Access might be a bit difficult, but it's definitely a spot worth visiting.
Kyoto Travel is Truly Worth It!❗❗3 Days and 2 Nights Itinerary
If you're planning a second trip to Japan, Kyoto is a must-visit city!
🗺 Itinerary:
3 days is ideal to explore Kyoto thoroughly.
Day 1⃣: Experience Kimono (9:00) — Kiyomizu-dera — Ninen-zaka/Sannen-zaka — Gion — Hanamikoji — Return Kimono at 17:30 — Yasaka Shrine for Night View (These places are close, feel free to adjust based on your preferences)
Day 2⃣: Morning: Fushimi Inari Taisha (Direct JR/Hankyu Line)
Afternoon: Kinkaku-ji / Picnic by the Kamo River
Evening: Relax and wait for sunset along the Kamo River (Navigate to Sanjo Station, the most beautiful section of the Kamo River is there) Night: Nishiki Market / Dinner near the Kamo River
Day 3⃣: Option 1: Kifune Shrine — Ryoan-ji — Sanzen-in
Option 2: Arashiyama (Both routes are quite far, dedicate a whole day, choose one)
🚇 Transportation:
Other Cities to Kyoto: Recommend taking JR, fast and cheaper than Shinkansen
Local Transportation in Kyoto: Two types of one-day passes available (details on p15)
Suggest buying the 700 yen bus one-day pass, especially useful for Day 1's route. Be cautious about the 1100 yen subway + bus pass; JR and Hankyu lines are not covered, and it doesn't work for Fushimi Inari Taisha!! Stick to the red and green subway lines.
🏨 Accommodation: Recommend staying near Kyoto JR Station for convenience. You can walk to the hotel as soon as you arrive in Kyoto, avoiding the hassle of dragging luggage around. Most Japanese hotels allow check-in only after 15:00, so drop your luggage and start exploring beforehand.#日本旅行攻略 #週末遊 #境外遊 #京都 #京都旅行 #境外遊 #嵐山
An Afternoon Stroll in the Streets of Kyoto ⛩
What better way to spend your afternoon than strolling along the well-preserved streets of Kyoto. Kyoto is one of the few places in Japan that has managed to avoid war destruction making it a great place to see traditional Japanese culture and architecture. The Higashiyama Ward is just one of the many places in Kyoto to have this unique experience in Japan. Don’t forget to stop by the only Starbucks in the world that’s known for its traditional Japanese building.

Hatsumōde at Kiyomizu-dera ⛩️
Have you experienced Hatsumōde in Japan?
Hatsumōde is a popular Japanese tradition that involves people visiting shrines and temples during the New Year holidays. Kiyomizu-dera is one of the most popular places in Japan to practice this tradition in. It can be very busy so I suggest going early to avoid crowds.
