Sheung Wan French Cuisine
The French restaurant in Sheung Wan is quite special, with a spacious environment and a unique decorative style, and the seating is relatively close.
First off is their Pissaladière $128, which uses an Italian-style thin crust as the base, topped with caramelized onions, anchovies, olives, and herbs. The salty taste of the anchovies matches well with the sweetness of the onions.
Next is the Garlic Butter Escargot $128, fresh snails paired with rich garlic butter. Another dish is Aioli de poissons $268, featuring tender grouper fish and various vegetables, plus a soft-boiled egg, all drizzled with a rich garlic sauce.
Additionally, there is a green pea salad $88, made with green peas and a poached egg. It's perfect for those who love green peas. Finally, the French choux pastry $118 is filled with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce.

This restaurant is truly top-notch! The atmosphere is so chill, with both outdoor and indoor seating, where you can sit back and enjoy your meal slowly.🥂
First up, the shrimp cocktail, served with fresh salad greens and a special seafood sauce that adds a hint of wine aroma. Next are the oysters🦪, three plump and sweet oysters, extremely fresh, bursting with flavor at each bite.😋🥂
The crab cakes, two pieces, are soft and fluffy, packed with sweet and rich crab meat, and fried to a crispy golden brown on the outside, truly delicious.🤤
The pan-fried foie gras is a must-try👍🏻. The foie gras is cooked just right, with a slightly crispy caramelized surface and a rich flavor inside, very satisfying.😍
The suckling pig skin is roasted to a crisp, the meat is tender and juicy, and with the special sauce, the flavor is even richer.
I highly recommend the Wagyu beef belly. The Wagyu beef is delicate and melts in your mouth, with a tender texture and rich juices, and with the special sauce, it's super tasty.🤤
The fried fish taco is crispy, rolled up with fresh vegetables and a special sauce, unexpectedly delicious.
The red wine sangria has a moderate alcohol content, rich flavor, and with fresh fruit slices and ice cubes, it's very appetizing and thirst-quenching.
Finally, the desserts! I chose pistachio ice cream and coconut ice cream. The texture of the ice cream is smooth, the pistachio ice cream has a rich pistachio flavor, and the coconut ice cream has a refreshing coconut scent. Both ice creams are very cool and delicious, a perfect ending.
The food provided by this restaurant is truly top-notch, each dish is carefully prepared, with delicious flavors and high quality!

Tiger Iron Teppanyaki Two-Person Set Meal $2,880
Enjoying a great meal with a friend, we chose to go to "Tiger Iron Teppanyaki". The Tiger Iron two-person set meal costs $2,880. Overall, there is a wide variety of food, the portions are very generous, and the taste is exceptionally good😋
The first dish of the set meal is the avocado and shrimp salad. The shrimp are fresh, and the salad dressing makes the dish even more delicious, a great appetizer.
Next comes the crab meat, sea urchin, and truffle soft-boiled egg. The runny egg yolk combined with the fresh taste of crab meat and sea urchin, plus the aroma of black truffle, is really delicious😍
Pan-fried Japanese oysters and live abalone with crab meat nori sauce are also highlights of the set meal. The oysters🦪 are large, with 3 pieces, plump and tasty, very good! The live abalone with crab meat nori sauce further enriches the flavor, with large and chewy abalone🤤
For the main course, we chose the Kumamoto Prefecture A5 Wagyu thick steak and Spanish Iberian pork tenderloin. The Kumamoto A5 Wagyu is cooked just right, with tender and juicy meat, very delicious; the Iberian pork tenderloin is tender and smooth, with a rich pork flavor.
The set meal also includes pan-fried wild vegetables and scallop tofu sea bream soup. The scallop tofu sea bream soup has a rich and fresh taste. Finally, the set meal concludes with black truffle salmon roe sea urchin cup fried rice and teppanyaki soufflé ice cream. The fried rice is smooth, and the combination of black truffle and sea urchin makes the dish richer; the dessert teppanyaki soufflé ice cream is smooth and soft, with a fragrant pancake, very satisfying.
The Tiger Iron two-person set meal offers a variety of exquisite dishes with outstanding flavors and generous portions. The service attitude of the restaurant is very good, and the environment is comfortable.

Tsim Sha Tsui Eel Specialty Store
This small shop located in Tsim Sha Tsui specializes in eel, with a wooden interior design. We chose two types of eel rice boxes, both of which were exquisitely presented.
First is the Eel Kaleidoscope for $98, with beautifully arranged slices of eel and a soft-boiled egg in the middle, served on rice with shredded egg.
The Salamander Bowl for $198 is another signature dish, with a generous portion that's enough for two people. The giant eel is thick and covered in a rich sauce, making it perfect for social media. Underneath the eel is a thick layer of egg, making it quite satisfying.
For an additional $30, you can get a soft-boiled egg, pickled vegetables, eel liver and white clam soup, and genmaicha tea. We added one set meal. There is also hot water available for drinking.

Ma On Shan's Affordable Hong Kong-style Cuisine
Ma On Shan area has an increasing variety of food options, and this restaurant offers good food at friendly prices. The fish maw chicken Huai Shan noodle is $86, the Huai Shan noodle feels healthy, with large pieces of fish maw and quite smooth chicken. Plus, for an additional $38, you get a drink, snack, and dessert. I chose the refreshing green grape soda for an extra $5, the fried fish fillets are delicious 😋 The peanut mochi is smoky and chewy, filled with peanut bits.
The grouper rice noodle is $92 with a special pickled vegetable fish soup, slightly sour and very appetizing, with a clear and fragrant fish soup base. Add $28 for a drink and snack, the cold-brewed Si Ji Chun tea for an extra $5 is fragrant and thirst-quenching, and the thick soup with seasonal vegetables also has goji berries. Finally, I casually ordered the salt and pepper chicken as a snack, the skin is fried to a golden crisp, and the chicken is juicy.
The restaurant has plenty of large seats, it's simple to have a rich meal.

At the Basement of AIRSIDE, the huge mall in Kowloon, directly connected to Kaitak MTR station, definitely was attracted by rays of all these unbelievable amazingly colourful man made cakes and pastries.
They are not only good to look at, it tastes good too. As they are mainly popular and renown shops. It’s quite a strong competition and hard to choose one but several instead. One might find a seat in one of these shops with a good cup of coffee to go with.

This stall is located in Kedai Kopi Clementi Block 380. It serves a good variety of Cendol with various toppings like durian, glutinous rice, red bean, and corn. The dessert is known for its unique texture and flavor, with the combination of the soft and chewy jelly noodles, the sweet Gula Melaka syrup, and the creamy coconut milk creating a delicious treat that is both refreshing and satisfying. They also sell Curry Puff, Lekor Fish Tempura, Goreng Pisang, and Kuih Keria. Just a few dollars you can enjoy Melaka street food in Singapore.

Kedai Kopi is a new concept coffeeshop in Clementi serving Halal food. The ambiance was nice with contemporary design. It creates a warm and inviting atmosphere that appeals to customers. Food wise, Kedai Kopi offers unique and creative menu items that set the coffee shop apart from the competition. There are good selection of food such as MY Nasi Ayam, Tenderbest Fried Chicken, Nasi Lemak, Nasi Padang, Buey Tahan Seafood, Makan Melaka Cendol, Goreng Pisang, Lekor, and more, incorporating local ingredients or cultural influences into their offerings. The price is slightly higher than traditional coffeeshop. Worth visiting for the quality of food and atmosphere. Ample seating.

Signature Yi Sheng Char Siew
Yi Sheng HK Charcoal Roasted Delights is a newly opened stall in Block 378 Clementi coffeeshop. It is located opposite Pei Tong Primary School. Must try their signature Char Siew, it is made by marinating slices of pork belly in a mixture of sauces and spices, then grilling or roasting the meat over hot charcoal until it is crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. Other than that, they also serve roasted chicken and duck, pork belly and more. Reasonable prices in neighborhood area. Roasted Delights is a staple of the Singaporean diet and is enjoyed by people of all ages and backgrounds.

Kennedy hidden gem Thai fusion restaurant
Really love their signature menu, 4 courses with different food choices, portion is just perfect for 2 ladies who can't eat much, great deal at $268.
Lobster crossiant is definitely their signature appetizer, tasted it years before and still can't forgot how amazing to have hot soup inside the bread, recommend everyone to give a try.
Grilled pork neck, meat is tendered and good match with the sour and spicy thai chilli sauce.
Grilled Skate Wing is not commonly appeared at HK restaurants, the fish texture is not bad and seems quite healthy, not fat at all.
We added morning glory, just can't resist this typical Thai dish.
Creme brulee wrap up the dinner decently, I like it not too sweet and has good balance with pineapple puree.
We both ordered drinks, coconut and Chamomile tea won't go wrong.

Egg for All, located in the busy industrial area of Kwun Tong, is famous for its egg dishes like omurice. However I wanted to try something different!
Egg and corned beef sandwich - this was the largest and thickest egg sandwich I had in my life! Omg soooo satisfying for an egg lover like me. The corned beef was not too salty and the ratio of beef to egg was just right.
Satay beef rice with sunny side up egg - tender beef slices. The egg yolk merged perfectly with the smooth peanut butter flavor of satay.
Deep-fried pork chop - not the baking soda tenderized kind of pork, still maintained its texture. Topped with a savory sauce with chopped garlic.
Deep-fried wings coated in salted duck egg yolk - the wings were split into half but still crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Rich and buttery egg yolk but not too salty.
Overall this restaurant offers good value for money - big portions, above average quality in general, efficient service. Recommended if you're around Kwun Tong!

Kuala Lumpur Food Trial Experience
Heading to KL and want to know where the best coffees are, the popular food places that you should at least try or where locals normally go to?
Well, we went on a food trial in Kuala Lumpur and make sure that these places are popular.
1. Light Capture By H.O.N.S located at 81 & 83 Jalan Tun H S Lee, City Centre which is just a short 4 mins walk from Central market where you can get insta worthy shots and good coffees and western food in a Old shophouse care setting.
2. Lim Kee Cafe located in Tian Jing Hotel at No.66 Jalan Sultan City Centre where this is a Chinese kopitiam but made it into a modern cafe where you will still find that the furnitures resembles how its like in olden times. A good rest stop from the hot sun and they serve really good coffee, cakes and polo bun.
3. Soong Kee Beef Noodles & Low Yau Kee Porridge located at 86, Jalan Tun H S Lee City Centre which is just opposite of Light Capture Cafe. As they open at 11am do be there early though as crowd starts coming up and filling up the tables, they are famous for their porridge and really good handmade beef balls and noodles with tender slices of beef. A very popular local place.
4. Hakka Restaurant located just opposite of Pavillion Mall at 90 Jalan Raja Chulan. For those who drive there are ample parking here. This place, as it names says is popular for hakka food like your abacus Yam dish, the stir fry egg and shark finish, hakka stuff yong tau food and such. You know this is popular due to the many reserved tables during dinner time.
5. Miru Dessert located in Pavilion Mall that serves really really good Korean shaved dessert. A definite must visit after a good dinner at hakka. This place is a small cafe and generally gets filled up especially after 8pm.
6. Bun Choon Dim Sum located at No.8 Lorong Panggung, another very popular dim sum place for locals is one of the best selling egg tarts in KL. From a bakery now they also start selling dim sum which is equally good. Do head there early as we were turned down to wait for 40mins due to the small restaurant above of approx just 7 tables.

I was very kindly invited to @shinsen.co.uk last week to try some of the amazing food that they have to offer. Japanese food is always something that in my head I don’t like the idea of as I’m not a fan of sushi, however they have so many amazing things to choose from that even if you don’t like sushi you’ll most likely be able to find something that you like!
I went for the Teriyaki Salmon and it was incredible! My friend got the Cucumber Maki and the Chicken Katsu Rolls which she said were both super tasty and she would recommend them. We also shared the Chicken Karaage which was delicious! The portion sizes are also very generous and it’s good value for money. To finish we shared Chocolate Ganache Mochi. The whole meal was so good, we even got to have it outside as the weather was nice. It’s definitely worth a visit, I’d recommend booking ahead of time though as they are quite a small restaurant but they offer takeaway and delivery as well.

This place serves only two different omakase lunch menus at a very affordable price. With a focus on the precision and skill, coupled with high quality ingredients. Otoro is an ingredient that cannot be left out when it comes to omakase. It has those intense fat marbling giving it a rich, buttery taste with an unbelievable tenderness.

Sushi Nakamoto
Sushi Nakamoto serves traditional Edomae style sushi and omakase set menus only
Nakamoto-san worked at Tokyo’s Michelin starred Ichiyanagi and Sushi Sase before opening up his own place, so I was looking forward to visiting this place and booked 2 months in advance, hoping it’s worth the hype...
I ordered Hana omakase this time, which included an appetiser, 14 pieces of sushi, a sushi roll,tamago, soup and dessert, charging $900 per person. Considering the amount and average quality of the sushi, it’s a bit overpriced.
Apart from being overpriced, I was utterly disappointed at the service, Nakamoto-san was very quiet all along and reluctant to elaborate on the sushi, only until he noticed I was a food-blogger, the manager and him started to be very attentive and volunteered the information themselves, this wide discrepancy in service and attitude was unaccpetable and appalling.
Overall, it wasn’t a pleasant omakase experience, with this price range of sushi restaurants in town, you can do A LOT better than this place.

Michelin ⭐️ Best Thai Food in town
Aaharn meaning “food” in Thai, is a world-class exploration of Thai cuisine by the well-known Chef David Thompson.
This top notch restaurant offers a spectrum of authentic Thai dishes using best quality ingredients, fresh herbs and vegetables brought in directly from Thailand daily along with hand pressed coconut milk in all of our curries.
Aaharn’s signature menu offers a balanced selection of courses that run from refreshing salads to rich curries, guest will experience the true Thai dining tradition of “kup kao”. The audacity of the bold flavour pairings is certainly worth praising about, a full spectrum of flavors running over your palate in every dish. The menu on my second visit was similar to that on my first with one exception: the dishes now are considerably less hot and spicy, suiting most Hongkonger’s preferences.
Overall this meal is a showcase of Thompson’s passion for and knowledge of Thai cuisine, sitting at one of the tables on the veranda you almost feel as if you’re in Thailand. Will definitely revisit in future !

My fav dish of the night were the Brandt Ranch tomahawk (1.9kg) and Bone in rib eye. Fatty and delicious with a robust beef flavour is defo a must try for meat-lovers in the city.

From the ceramic tiles to the pastel yellow walls, the Southeast Asia decor caught my attention.
The menu was simple but filled with bold flavour, dishes were creatively composed and executed with finesse by Chef Dang, offering a reinterpretation of the traditional Vietnamese dish, with new inventive approach and flavour. Not only the dishes tasted great, the service staff were friendly and offered sound descriptions of the food, with advice on ordering for first-time guests. Highlights of the menu were stated below

Hands down to the best kimchi pancake in town ! 🇰🇷OBP - a hidden gem found behind the Old Bailey street.
This gastropub provided an innovative Korean sool-jip experience in central, also a good place to unwind after a long day of work, immersing yourself in the calm woody interior while listening to K-pop
The menu included a wide variety of pub-style bites, from traditional pancakes to generous mains like braised beef and fried chicken. The most impressive dish was the kimchi pancake, super flavourful and crispy, definitely a must-order for kimchi fans.
Overall, it would be a good place to chill with your crew with great booze and moreish bites.

Another spot for pasta in Central apart from Pici and 121BC 🍝
PAZTA blends traditional Italian gastronomy and 21st century hospitality with a great Mediterranean atmosphere, bringing a taste of Italy in the heart of Central.
PAZTA offers a range of classic Italian dishes from Venice, Bologna, Rome, Sardinia etc. Alongside its a la carte menu, it also offers weekday lunch set ($140) and dinner set ($230), in which most people find the lunch set a much better deal.
Overall, the pasta was well seasoned and al dente, very authentic and classic , however portion might be a bit too small for guys. The Il Ghiottone appetizer platter ($390) looked better than it tasted, it’s good for sharing as a group but tasted so-so, the batter was wayyyy too thick for the fried ones....

Robuchon au Dome is like entering into a world of indulgence which gave me an incredible food journey through French refinement. This restaurant been awarded three Michelin stars for 13 consecutive years.
From the breath-taking panoramic view out there to the ostentatious and grand interior, you just couldn’t stop being overwhelmed with joy and surprises.
The numerous trolleys of food were the highlight of this fine dining. Robuchon au Dôme’s La Symphonie des Douceurs (the dessert trolley) was in keeping with the art of perfection. The exquisite chocolate hazelnut tart, mille feuille and passionfruit mousse tartlet impressed me the most in that trolley. Overall, its basically a quintessential French dining at its finest ,will elaborate more in my next post, stay tuned!

This signature roasted yellow chicken ever since Louise’s opening, I heard nothing but praise for this dish, and it’s all warranted. Perfectly cooked, with crispy skin and tender meat, the whole bird was paraded at our table before being carved. It is served along with a cast iron pot of Niigata rice well seasoned with chicken fat and chicken skin, spring onions and chives is certainly impressive and phenomenal.

When Swedish heritage meets Japanese ingredients, with French techniques....
Michelin-starred Swedish chef Björn Frantzén surprised us with another level of Nordic gastronomy
Highlight of the meal must be their signature French toast topped with summer truffles, the creaminess of the aged cheese paired well with the fungi, and the balsamic vinegar added a refreshing touch to the whole composition. The dish comes with a small cup of truffle tea which elevates the flavour.
Overall, it was a super delicious and eye-opening Nordic fine dining at a relaxed cozy environment, service was amazing and staff were all very friendly and attentive. Would definitely return for their dinner next time !
