Spring Delight in Shandong's Qingdao 🌸🌊
#cherryblossom2024
Every late March and April,
On the shores of the Yellow Sea, Qingdao transforms,
Into a vibrant city of flowers. 🌺
Here, it's not just catkins adorning the streets,
But a delightful misty breeze carrying fluttering petals. 🌬️🌸
Amidst this floral paradise,
One can't help but recall the verse,
"Facing the sea, with spring flowers blossoming."
With its red brick buildings, green tiled roofs, and endless blue skies,
Qingdao stands as an island city adorned with cherry trees,
Transporting you into a realm of pink fairy tales. 🏝️
Stroll through the flower-lined streets of the old city,
Seeking the gentle caress of the spring breeze,
As the wind whispers secrets,
And cherry blossoms sway in harmony. 🌸🌬️
The entire cherry blossom avenue becomes a cascade of pink petals,
A mesmerizing pink rain showering Qingdao,
Inviting you to revel in the beauty of flowers by the sea. 🌊🌸 #Shandong #Qingdao #SpringFlowers #CherryBlossoms #SeaView #FloralParadise

Qingdao | Mystery of Clapping Ladder
#fallingseason
Heshan Scenic Area is a hidden gem nestled in the lush greenery of Qingdao. The moment I stepped foot in this serene oasis, I felt like I was entering a fairy tale.💎
The main highlight of this area is, without a doubt, the stunning Heshan Mountain. It's not a towering peak, but it's filled with natural beauty. As I hiked through the mountain trails, I was treated to breathtaking views of the city, the coastline, and the surrounding forests. The lush greenery and the tranquil ponds added to the charm. 🥾
Now, here's something really special - the Red Leaves Valley. If you visit during autumn, you'll be greeted by a sea of fiery red and orange leaves. It's like walking into a painting! 🍁
The Heshan Scenic Area also has several temples, like the Lao Shan Temple and the Sanqing Temple. These temples are not only places of worship but also repositories of history and culture. The architecture and the serene atmosphere inside are simply captivating.👀
This scenic area is an escape from the bustling city life. It's a place to connect with nature, explore history, and embrace tranquility. If you ever find yourself in Qingdao, a visit to Heshan is a must. It's a place where time seems to slow down, and every step reveals a new layer of beauty and culture. You'd absolutely love it!🤩
Tips and Tricks ⁉️
🤐There is fairly unknown spot called 招鹤回鸣.
If you clap 👏 your hands facing towards ladder you'll hear bird like 🦚 sounds as an echo. Locals says the echo sounds like a crane.
If you walk the same ladder than people at the top will hear a water drop like sounds. 💧The heavier step, the more distinct sound you'll get.
Enjoy!💛❤️🧡

🏖️Qingdao Bathing Beach is a coastal gem that beckons beach lovers from near and far. With its golden sands stretching along the Yellow Sea, it's a picturesque spot where the sun's warm embrace meets the gentle lull of the waves.
🏪As you stroll along the boardwalk, you'll find a bustling scene of seaside vendors, offering local delicacies and refreshing treats. Families build sandcastles, while friends challenge each other to beach volleyball matches. The clear waters invite swimmers to take a dip and surfers to catch the perfect wave.
🌇But Qingdao Bathing Beach is more than just a place to soak up the sun and splash in the sea. It's a cultural hub, where traditional Chinese architecture blends seamlessly with the coastal landscape. The iconic Zhanqiao Pier, extending gracefully into the water, adds a touch of historic charm.
🌅As the sun sets, the beach comes alive with the glow of lanterns and the scent of seafood from nearby stalls. The night market offers a taste of local cuisine and a vibrant atmosphere that lingers long after the day has ended.
Tips and Tricks ⁉️

📍 Huashi coffee
Nanhai Yuandong North Gate Southeast
200 Meters, Laoshan, Qingdao
☕️ I visited a cafe near Ocean University for the first time, recommended by a friend. It had a charming vintage style, was clean, and had lots of seating on two floors. The food and drinks were great, and the staff, possibly the owner, was kind. I hadn't noticed it before, even though I often passed by. 🐕 There were also two cute dogs and nearby restaurants and milk tea shops to explore. A wonderful find! 🍰

My Laoshan mountain trip. Part 1.
Laoshan Mountain is a scenic area in the vicinity of Qingdao. This is a very beautiful landscape park, it is a park that you will not be able to get around in one day. I visited two different areas of the mountain and I liked them both. It's not difficult to get there, you can get there by metro, get on the line 4 and go to the terminal station Dahedong 大河东. Opposite the metro you'll see a bus station from which buses depart to the mountain, where you also can buy tickets. From this station , buses depart to two locations:taiqing 太清/jufeng 巨峰.
On my first visit, I chose Taiqing area 太清. The road goes along the beautiful coast of the sea. On the way, the bus makes several stops. The first stop is an observation deck with the beach view. Here, if desired, you can start your trip on foot to the upper station of the cable car. The next stop is near the Taiqing Temple, it is located next to the seashore. The temple is notable for the fact that the tallest statue of Lao Tzu in the world was built here. An important addition: tickets to the temple and to the cable car must be purchased separately. Then you need to take a bus that will take you to the lower station of the cable car. During your visit, you have several options, go up and down the cable car, go up and down on foot, which seems to me more suitable for hiking enthusiasts, or the option I chose, go up the cable car, and go down on foot. The way isn't too difficult, but I would recommend to wear comfortable shoes. Along the way, you can climb to the Ming xia cave , I must admit that it's not very exciting location and it is difficult to climb there, but there is a small observation deck with a beautiful mountain view. On the way down you will meet the Shangqing Temple 上清宫 , small terraces where locals grow laoshan tea. Next stop is a place that is definitely worth your attention, a water reservoir and Longtan waterfalls 龙潭. It's a nice place, the water there gives off greenery, super beautiful. And that's it. You will need to go down to the first bus stop, from where the bus will take you to the final station. The whole tour cost me around 200 rmb: 120rmb for the entrance ticket, 40rmb for one-way cable car ticket and 30rmb for the temple ticket.
#qingdao #trip #laoshan
My Laoshan mountain trip. Part 2.
The second time I visited Laoshan mountain with my family and unknowingly chose one of the most difficult area to climb - Jufeng 巨峰. We also got to the ticket office by metro. A road to the mountain took us about an hour. We get on the 4th subway line and reached the terminal station Dahedong 大河东. At the ticket office, I bought tickets for the Jufeng section. We get on a bus that took us directly to the lower station of the cable car. Just like the first time we bought tickets for cable car separately and the ticket office starts working from 8:30, so we had to wait a little.
The cable car here is much longer than on the Taiqing section. After you get off the cable car, you will climb to the second highest part of the mountain - Lingqi peak 灵旗峰 . Climbing here is definitely worth the effort. A beautiful view of the mountain awaits you. There is also a small bridge over the gorge and a small arbor with a magnificently view. Then you can choose to go back down to the cable car and take a walk around the hill. We chose the second option because this is the way. I can't say that the road is very difficult, but if you are not a sophisticated lover of walking up and down stairs, you will be hurt, hurt while walking, hurt the next day, and then another day etc. Anyway on your way you will meet many picturesque viewing platforms, but in my opinion the first one is the best, so if you choose a lazy path, you will not lose much. That's it. The whole trip also cost me 200rmb, 120 yuan for the entrance ticket and 80 yuan for the cable car round trip.

📍 极简主义coffee沙滩音乐节 : Shazikou Residential District Xijiang Gezhuang Community I3-36, Laoshan, Qingdao
🚘 We decided to explore the 极简主义coffee沙滩音乐节, which is located near the Jinxiu seascape theme restaurant. Getting there was a bit of a journey, and we opted for a Didi ride since it was quite far from the subway.
📸 The cafe offers a picturesque view of the sea. However, I found it to be just average in terms of ambiance; it really shines when you capture the right moments through editing in photos.
☕️ 🌊 What truly stood out was the opportunity to face the sea breeze while sipping a cup of coffee, creating a more artistic atmosphere. You could also enjoy some time on the beach, although it wasn't particularly expansive.
😌 Surprisingly, there weren't many people during our visit, which allowed us to have a serene two-hour stay. Afterward, we decided to take a leisurely stroll along the street and stumbled upon several interesting places nearby.
🏕️ We found the Stone Man Sightseeing Garden, a golf club, and camping sites, which piqued our curiosity for future visits.

Qingdao | Giant Food Night Market
Foodies! I highly recommend a stop at 李村 subway station if you are in the north east area of Qingdao.
The market covers a square next to a mall with hundreds of sellers. It is so big that one night is definitely not enough. So going with friends is the best so that all of you can share and try more things.
You will find lots of different types of food from local specialities like marinated raw seafood to rarer finds like 凉皮卷。
Sellers start setting up as from 5pm and it gets REALLY busy as from 6ish. Apart from the very few sellers that provide a plastic stool - There are virtually no seats to sit. So people mostly move from stand to stand to try different things.
If you want to take walk after eating - there is a very nice walk along the river which is located slightly north to the market.

Gongzhu Lou is one of those villas. It was constructed in the 1930s. The villa was built for a Danish princess, but she has never come here. Here you can find the portrait of princess Margaretha and her family. I think this villa is unique not only for being Danish princess mansion but also for its color.
The view from the building is very beautiful too. You can walk around the villa and see some cartoon’s characters.
