Garang Cafe, Khao Lak, Thailand

This was such a amazing place especially after surfing, a long walk under the sun or after meal because their homemade bakery and artisan ice creams were so delicious where in which some of the flavors are unique and a must try. We did had a hard time that it was so difficult to choose between all their flavors. The cafe even produces their own beer and there is little corner selling shirts and surfing equipment too. Mallipo Beach: the Cali of Korea

Located on the the west coast of Korea in Taean. Accessible by bus. I took a bus to Taean bus terminal then a cab to the hotel. I arrived late so no more buses running. A cab ride cost me about 30,000 KRW. If you decide to take the bus back to the terminal make sure you check what the times are and plan accordingly. These are rural buses and run a little later sometimes. If you want a cab, I would would recommend catching a cab from the bus stop. After checking in I went to go look at the beach. The tide was low. The side of the beach I was on is the quieter side and the lively side is on the opposite end. The middle section of the beach they have surfing equipment for rent and offer lessons if you want it. They also have paddle boarding. I also saw people riding jet skis and boat. They also have beach markets set up in this section. I think they called this section of the beach “water park”. The opposite end of my hotel is the lively side. They have restaurants, cafes, and a fair like park next to the beach. People shoot fireworks off in this side of the beach. There is also a giant water structure on this end. It is a good photo spot. The fair is located across the beach they have fair games, snacks and a couple rides. You could also rent the two wheeled motor bikes to drive around. My Khe beach on the Da Nang beachfront

Running for nine kilometres down the Da Nang beachfront is My Khe beach. It is a beautiful walk and good for paddling, but not ideal for swimming. It is clean and has many luxury hotels just across the road, making it an ideal location to stay when visiting Da Nang. It is particularly stunning at night and is a relaxing place to walk with friends and family. Take your shoes off and enjoy the white sand under your feet! #danang #vietnam #surf

Houhai Surf Heaven 🏄

What an amazing week we have had in Houhai, Sanya. This is the place in China to learn how to surf. Houhai sits in a shell shaped bay that allows for a safe environment for people learning how to surf. Being in Houhai with its restaurant strip and coconut sellers reminds you of backpacker Thailand or Vietnam. The vibe is mellow and surfy. It is a place so beautiful you can really hang out all day there and not get tired of the view. It is so popular, you can see the crowds it draws. A must do activity if you are visiting Bali — surf the waves, sunset surf. Bali is a surfers’ paradise, it’s like living in the movies, sandy feet, salty hair, the wind touches your skin. Yomovo Surfing School

When in Houhai village you will quickly notice loads of surf schools. But how do you differentiate between them? We wanted our two boys to get quality surf coaching as they had both been surfing a few times beforehand overseas and we had noticed that some surfing schools just did photo shoots on the beach rather than teach any surfing. We found one surf school that was charging so much money we felt it just wasn’t appropriate. We went to another and it was so cheap we knew it was just a phot shoot opportunity. We finally found Yomovo Surf School. Yomovo is actually a super awesome looking hotel and the surf school is on their ground floor facing the beach. Our boys were able to get ready at the hotel’s ground floor with changing rooms and showers, rented wetsuits and boards and were away with their coach. We didn’t know this and found it to be a pleasant surprise, but after each session we got a ton of photos too.
