Nanchang: A Symphony of Tradition and Progress

Two days long trip to Nanchang was fun, exciting and tiring too. We took the high speed train from Changshu to Shanghai Hongqiao. It was night train with the shortest duration. We arrived in Nanchang in the very early morning. After check in, we rode public ebike (so convenient) to explore surroundings. Later we went to Bayi Square (one of the famous place) and spent some time there. There are Wanda plaza, Luckin coffee, KFC and other malls nearby. Later in the afternoon we went to the Bayi park east lake to have a storll. The next stop was at the Wanshou Palace near Bayi square. This palace area is really big with full of shops, restaurants, museum, etc. Later at that night we chilled at the Yojo Bar at T16 mall with live music. On second day, we went to a bit far place called `Lucerne Town`. This neighborhood is designed with many European style building but most of the complex are empty. There is a park called `Rongchuang` located by the `Nine Dragon` lake with scenic spots around. The next stop was on the other side of the lake called `Rongchuang Mall`. The entrance of this mall is so different with ceramic designed huge bowls and jars. Loved the idea. Thia mall is big with many shops and restaurants. On the other side of the mall there is the `Nanchang Sunac Land` amusement park. Ticket orice is cheaper after 4pm. (119 rmb) including many rides (mostly for children's). It was fun. On the third day morning, we went to the most visited place of Nanchang `Tengwang Pavilion`. We couldn't go inside the pavilion due to over crowd and long queue. However, we enjoyed strolling around. I would suggest for a 3 days plan if you ever decide to visit in Nnachang. You can leave with some satisfaction. #nanchang #tengwang #chinatrip

Van Gogh Immersive Experience, what a trip !

I great backup plan if you get a rainy day like I did ! 😂 cool museum and the whole exhibition is a trip without drugs 😜. really cool for pictures and not overpriced ( 69 RMB = 9.20 Euro) I was buy myself and took me about 30 min to enjoy everything, if you go with friends surely you'll spend more time taking more pictures ! Nanchang ocean park

This is a wonderful small aquarium for small kids. The shark tunnel is amazing and kids love running up and down the tunnel. They also have seal shows for a little bigger kids. On the top floor of the aquarium is a restaurant with fast food and acceptable prices and a penguin enclosure. At the exit is a toy shop and the prices are not too high comparing to other aquariums. #nanchang #oceanpark

Jiulong park Nanchang

This is a very big park around a lake. It has something for everyone. There's a beach for the kids to play up on, there are slides next to the beach. There's a beautiful wooden pathway along the lake for a walk. Close to the kids area are small shops with food and snacks. There are also a lot of grass areas for picnics or just sitting and enjoying the views. The lake also offers boat renting. #jiulongpark #nanchang

Checkout Jiangxi’s Museum. It’s super huge!!!

The new museum is located on Xinzhou surrounded by Ganjiang and Fuhe in Nanchang City. It is bordered by Fuhe in the east, Zhongshan Bridge in the south, Ganjiang River in the west, and Tengwang Pavilion, one of the three famous buildings in the south of the Yangtze River in the north. It has a beautiful environment. It covers an area of 60 mu, a construction area of 35,000 square meters, and an exhibition hall area of 13,000 square meters. It will bring the three museums of history, nature and revolution. Together, it forms a large comprehensive museum, which is the first in the country. The main architectural modeling of the building is based on the three white porcelain unearthed in the imperial kiln of Jingdezhen in the Ming Dynasty. The three halls of the history museum, the revolutionary museum and the natural museum are integrated, which skillfully integrates ancient ceramic art with the modern architectural style; solemn and elegant, unique. An evening trip to Nanchang’s T16 mall…

Address - T16 mall is a shoppers paradise located along South Lushan road just before the famous Bayi Bridge on your way into Nanchang’s CBD. It is a class mall that has captured the hearts and minds of the luxurious people of Nanchang. Highlights - What makes the spot unique is the way the building itself was built, it is like a huge cruise ship if you look at it from one end, and just outside the other entrance, you’ll find a Yacht: I bet the owner is super fond of boats or he was a Captain in some other lifetime. Rating - Personally I’d give the place 8/10 because it’s lavish and looks so good all round. The location is just opposite a main road, and there are buses that pass through this route. End of Sept, beginning of Oct: 尊品 steakhouse

Shoutout to my brother Diplomontage T, what a way to end September 2022 and begin the blessed month of October. We headed out to Zunpin Steakhouse which is a well-known steak chain restaurant originating from Taiwan. It officially landed in mainland China in the year 2003. At present, many steak chain restaurants have been developed in many provinces across the country and are still being added, so yeah, it’s growing. Today they proved that indeed Zunpin Steak adheres to the business philosophy of "quality + service" and serves consumers with "flat price, superior quality and thoughtful service". A variety of selected meat and seafood products are on the menu but we had to tryout only the land animals so we went for lamb chops and some spaghetti with beef. Best believe it was fresh and juicy, off course with some juice on the side. The chef did a wonderful job to create not only a unique taste, but an excellent and authentic taste. As they say, to further promote the development of steak western food and bring people a better life enjoyment, they are always ready to meet the needs of consumers and franchisees with first-class service and superior quality. Wanda Plaza is in Weidong District. Set up as a private plaza by Wanda Plaza, Chinese private sector. It is the largest shopping mall by size and it is one of the most popular malls amongst the young population of Nanchang. Many people from all walks of life gather here to eat various kinds of food. It is the best place to go shopping on weekends. Here you can find big brands, and others too, from both outside China as well as some superior Chinese ones. The most beautifully designed Bookstore in NC

Zhong Shuge, known as "China's most beautiful bookstore" has finally landed in Nanchang. The place is really well designed. If you love taking photos like me, then this is the place to be. There is also a cultural and creative area and one side to consume beverages like coffee. There are not many people inside. It's quite quiet inside, making the environment suitable to read a book in the event that you choose not to buy one. Nanchang Y-5 (licence-built Antonov An-2)

On the ground level of the museum you can find a Nanchang Y-5 (licence-built Soviet’s Antonov An-2), (Reg. Number: B-8404) in a blue color livery - markings of Nanjing University College of Civil Aviation. Back out through the front doors and turning right, the first aircraft you come to see is rather battered looking Shijiazhuang Y-5 8207 – another licence-built Antonov An-2. Unfortunately the airplane is in extremely bad condition - all of the wing, flap, aileron, elevator and tailplane ribs are exposed. I have no idea what is the reason that this beautiful bird is in such a bad condition, I felt bad seeing this old lady... P.S. Did someone say hiking??? Let’s go!

Went hiking with my friends. It was an awesome trip, full of fun & adventure. As a person who loves nature, this experience was definitely a memorable one. We used a taxi to & fro, though a bit pricey compared to using the bus but it was worth it (as the bus is usually full). We also bought food, snacks that is, prior to climbing. As the weather in Nanchang is very hot & humid in summer, I’ld recommend one brings lots of water, an umbrella & bug spray. There are many mountains and hills in Meiling so it’s good to plan ahead where exactly you’ll be heading to. There are also other activities that one can do, and there are good spots for chilling outside, a picnic maybe. Travel to learn from other cultures

Parking is a bit expensive, so rather take the subway, line 1 and get off at 滕王阁站。 Attractions include ancient buildings and artifacts. There are some good hotels nearby at competitive prices. The food is amazing, most of the cuisines are the city’s specialty: 南昌拌粉 & 瓦罐汤。 There are a lot of things to buy including clothes, accessories. I got some souvenirs from there. Some resemble the beautiful outfits from the different dynasties. I also bought some souvenirs of the different building structures in the area. It’s definitely worth the trip if you are into learning about culture and good for pictures too. #china #nanchang #jiangxi #gthatguy1
