Have you ever aware of its existence…
A must place to pass by for bus exchange to Tuenmun town, Tuenmun Road Interchange.
Every morning and evening during the peak hours, lots of people rushing to get to their destination without a glimpse of it.
In fact, its spectacular view of river, wild bushes and trees under the 180 degree sky here is incredible and irresistible to stop and admire a while, needless to say at the beautiful sunset time.
Regularly, neighbourhoods visit here for a day with their fishing rod or even a picnic at one of the rock beside the river.
Frequently seeing bicyclettes dressed in multiple colourful gears and helmet racing by the roundabout ahead from both sides of traffic, stopping here for a water refill from a water refill machine as well as the rest room.
For your next visit, allow some time to appreciate the nature here, taking a cold drink from one of the kiosk machines and find an undercover seat at one of waiting benches or standing by river side or advantageously at one of the rocks, watching go-around activities or enjoying the tranquility and peaceful picturesque here at no cost.

Oldest Market Building Surviving in Hong Kong
The Western Market in Sheungwan, Hong Kong, the impressive building, standing in between Des Vœux Road Central and Connaught Road Central, has remarkable red brick Edwardian style structure with a handsome granite arch over its entrance.
It was completed in 1906 and served as food market until 1988.
In 1990, the Antiques and Monuments Office (AMO) identified it as one of the Declared Monuments.
In 1991, it was subsequently renovated and converted into a shopping complex for traditional traders, art and crafts.
In 2003, it was refurbished and brought back by adopting the concept of adaptive-reuse to accommodate restaurants and boutiques, fabric merchandises and curio shops.
This historical building has turned the vicinity of Sheungwan into a place for lifestyle shopping and leisure activities up to present.

Spectacular Sea View Restaurant
L’Atlantis is located at Golden Beach front, on Castle Peak Road, close to Gold Coast, Tuenmun, Hong Kong.
The restaurant has excellent atmosphere for dining either cozy indoor or sea breeze outdoor.
In good weather, it is rather to stay outdoor to watch activities on the beach, sea view and sense of warm sun and chilly wind.
The restaurant is boasted for French seafood dining. Its lunch set menu is very attractive with price from around HK$100 or so which includes house salad, daily soup and the choice of main dish plus drink.
The particular day of house salad was fresh crispy salad with vinaigrettes dressing. The daily soup was creamy mushroom soup with crunchy garlic bread. For the main, Norwegian salmon cubes risotto in oil cream sauce was the choice. Last was a nice hot coffee with cream.
The food were excellent and tasty but the service was dropped from last visit sometimes before pandemic. The bill was presented with wrong price but eventually amended. So check bill to the correct amount before payment.
Overall always enjoying the good food with a superb view in a unconditional weather is perfect to unwind one’s soul.

Historical Building in the Central of Hong Kong
This fascinating building, Standard Chartered Bank building, is facing to the Vitoria Harbour on the Des Vœux Road, Central, Hong Kong.
The building is dated back to 1859. The flight of white marble stairs in front is leading to the main entrance of the building.
The lobby was beautifully constructed with super high ceiling, followed by another short flight of stairs to another level.
Amazingly on the right, there are two standing giant bronze sculptures in black . One is the Right Honorary James Wilson (1805-1860) and the other, Mr John Paterson (1822-1880). Both were significant founders of the bank.
More over, there are two visibly, brightly stained glass windows (L10m x W2.5m) exhibited on the wall reflecting Hong Kong in the past and present.
For the past from top, Bird cage, Bamboos, Neon Light Signs, Sampan, Tram and Rickshaw.
For the present from top, Aeroplane, Computer, High Rise Buildings, the Bank Building and the Mass Transit Railway.
It’s well worth to take a visit and learn more.

Daikiya, a locally known Japanese Restaurant
Hongkongers know very well “Daikiya” the popular Japanese restaurant, a chain restaurant under Daikiya Catering Group with branches. It’s famous for sashimi and variety of hot and cold Japanese food. It offers all you can eat to order, within a limited time and the charges are varied according to the time of consumption which is very popular amongst the workers or family gathering.
During working in Shatin, new territory, only having a short lunch break, I prefer to go for lunch sets for choices of main dish plus self service bar of various Japanese cold snacks and fruits, some fried dishes, hot snacks, Japanese soup, fried veggies, hot and cold drinks. The price is as low as from HK$88 to HK$138 for both hot and sashimi dishes of your choice.
If you like Japanese sashimi, it would be a better choice than the hot dish.
Bon appétit 😋

Dot Cod Seafood Restaurant & Oyster Bar
It is situated at the basement of Prince Building, central, Hong Kong, The entrance is easily noticed and found parallel along side the Chater Garden. The place is well decorated, cozy ambience with warm atmosphere.
We had overrun the meeting passing lunch time til 2:30 pm. Rushing out for a short trip to the restaurant and placing orders. We ordered :
The chicken was juicy, the bun was soft and tasty and the fries were nice and crunchy.
The linguine was cooked well with fresh basil accompanied by a few big prawns.
It’s a light meal served with cherry tomatoes and onion.
The food arrived within the blink of eyes. May be because it was free in the kitchen at the time. We managed to finish food and back to work at 3:30 pm.
The price range is acceptable for great food and rapid service of a western restaurant in the midst of central district.

Red Pocket Cafe on Jaffe Road Wanchai
The name attracted me to go in and find out more. This squeezed place has only a few table and occupied max of 56 people. Th decoration is great and comfy when not too many occupants. The price tends to be on relative high. Most are à la cart and only one which I ordered is the coconut chicken, a set with rice, salad, a bit of kimchi and 2-3 of jellies without drink and it costs about $70-80. Drinks order will be half of the original which is around $20. The place was getting crowded and full closed to lunch at one. So decided to find a place for an enjoyable drink instead. #urbanexplorer #tripblazers #本地遊 #mytripvlog #cafe #yuppije #yoopije2023 #wanchai #hongkong

B&L (Burger&Lobster)
It’s not a common name but too bad I didn’t order either of them. My choice of set lunch was half chick with roast veggies and potato wedges. The chicken was delist, soft an succulent inside. It came with daily made soup, which was carrot, and 2 pieces of warm homemade bread. Followed by again a small piece of homemade cherry cake paired with vanilla ice cream. It was just fit for a warm day today plus at last a coffee of course. It’s kind of fancy with any homemade food for me. #yuppije #yuppije2023 #wanchaifood #hongkong #B&L

Accidentally passing by K11 and look for new adventure for lunch. After look through from the front window and as the name said, this coffee shop is famous for its signature crepes. Excellent for beef lovers
Mundi is tucked away from the main Hennessy road and could be missed easily. Luckily there was no line upon arrival. I ordered a set lunch of tempura shrimp cum grilled beef and it was not disappointed me at all. Both shrimps and meat are soft and juicy. Coral Priority Banking Lounge in Bangkok airport
Well setting with English wares! This is an amazing lounge so far have visited. It was not a peak season of travel and the place was not busy. It’s quiet and beautifully arranged though not many choices of food like the old days. There was crab meat curry with Thai noodle at one corner and the other were western style snacks like one bite pastries, sandwiches and salad. It is a high class service and a must to visit next time to Bangkok. #yuppije #yuppijetrip #bkklounge #bkk2023
Seekers Finders RamaIV Hotel, SureStay Collection By BW
The hotel is only a few months old so it’s new, clean, modern equipped with all amenities any traveller would need as shown . More there are safety box, microwave, fridge, water bottles, electric kettle plus instant coffee and tea. Further rooftop with great view plus cozy designed chairs to relax. A bit disappointed with the swimming pool which is a bit small not spacious as published. Worse there is a construction going on just close to it. Worst if your room located on lower floor, the view may not be city view but neighbour’s window. it is accessible to two MRT, SiriKit and Klongtoei. It’s a kind of dream hotel at the price offered. #bkktrip2023 #yuppije #yuppijetrip #bkkhotel #seekersfinders

Down to earth price for an authentic Thai food
Thai Coconut is located at G/F, Nam Long Shan Road Cooked Food Market. The building is obviously seen at Exit B of Wong Chuk Hang MTR station.
The food stall is occupied at the far left corner from the main entrance with 2 rows of tables for about 40 guests.
It is operated by the Thai couple with their son and his wife and with the help of 2 helpers.
Probably it is benefit from the cheap rent, the price of the food is incredible great to consumers
on top of the tasty Thai food.
Needless to say, it is very popular not only to the neighbours but also the crowd from outside. It only took half an hour, the place was full up and it was kind of chaotic sound of joy from guests and loud voice from the helpers. Guests should expect some orders took a bit longer time than usual too.
Recommend to go as early as 6 pm to grasp a table before the crowd gradually flush in.
