Huashan 1914 Creative Park
The Huashan 1914 Creative Park (or 華山1914文化創意產業園區 as the native name written in Traditional Chinese) is a multi-purpose park in Zhongzheng District, Taipei, Taiwan. When I came here on summer several years ago, some organizations were holding an exhibition in the Park. I think it was interesting.
This park is accessible within walking distance from Zhongxiao Xinsheng Station of the Taipei Metro. Do not forget to drop by here if you're traveling to Taipei 😸

Huashan Mountain-Hike in Shaanxi
A short train ride from Xi'An, Huashan mountain is one of the famous “Five Mountains” in China. 🏔️
Hiking on Huashan Mountain is very popular and many Chinese want to visit the mountain. On the top are various small tempels, view points and walking routes.
🚄 I took an early morning train from Xi'An and rested a little on the train. From the train station it's a short bus ride to the entrance of the mountain.
🚶I climbed the whole way, but there also is cable car, in case you want to save some time.
🎫 150-230 RMB depending on the season. ❗Huashan is open 24hours and many people choose to climb the mountain during the night.

Hua mountain, Xian
Cost per person: (August 2022)
entrance ticket 160 yuan
cable car (one way) 140 yuan
bus 40 yuan
fast train from Xi’an to Hua mountain 54.5 yuan
Transportation: Take a fast train from Xi’an North to Hua mountain north 西安北-华山北
Being one of the five important mountains in China, Hua mountain is definitely worth to visit. There are two ways to go to the top of the mountain: cable car and climbing the stairs. Like any other mountains in China, Hua mountain also has countless stairs. First you walk 4 km path way then 8 km stairs, in total 6800 stairs.
We started climbing 7:30 pm and we’re at the top 2:30 am. We had a rest in between, I guess one hour. So, it took us 7 hours (break time included) to climb the mountain.
Be prepared with a warm coat as it is cold at the top of the mountain. There is a chance to rent a coat though. No need to take lots of water with you. There are people who sell water on the mountain (10 yuan for 3 bottles and 10 yuan for 1 bottle at the very top).
Sunrise is beautiful but is not impressive as chances you can see the sunrise are very limited. The top (Eastern peak) of the mountain is very small and full of people. We were able to watch the sunrise through other peoples phone screen only.
There were people who stayed in tents. From my understanding, it’s easier to find a place for a tent on the way to the top as the place on the mountain top is really limited.
On our way back we took a cable car as we were tired. The view from the top is very beautiful.

Climb Huashan
#weekendgetaways#Huashan
Getting There - booked high speed train to Xi’an via Trip.com and from then join a local tour to Huashan.
Attractions - Huashan has 5 major peaks. We picked the west route in order to cover 4 peaks in 1 day (5hrs). Need to take a 20-min cable car up the Western Peak top. From there we hike along the stone steps, some of which are very steep. Difficulty is intermediate to high. There are metal chains alongside to ensure safety.
The weather was chilly in Jan, some parts were still covered with snow/ice. The sky was blue and clear, the rocks were huge and steep and the pine trees were stout and steady. All these are very nice for phone photography and cameras.
Hotels - There is basic lodging at mountain top for those who are interested to see sunrise.
Food & Restaurants - In order to protect and preserve the natural environment, only limited small food stores available (cup noodles, drinks).
Shopping - At the descend, there are souvenirs shops and restaurants for last minute spending.
Overall, this is a 5-star value trip, worth the efforts to catch the spectacular views.

Interested in the creative arts and craft, you can visit the Huashan 1913 creative park located at No. 1, Section 1, Bade Rd, Zhongzheng District, Taipei City, Taiwan 100. This is a big open space with areas to sit down and chill on the grass, photo taking opportunities everywhere, ample food choices through out the park and lastly, the many small family run business stores in the park.
You will be able to see the many hand made crafts made by the locals, like wooden cravings, wooden figurines, local created accessories and bags, hand sewn table mats and many more. The area is huge and i do recommend to give at least 2 hours here. For people who drive, there is a small parking area, but insufficient especially in the late afternoons on weekends. So take the train, it is only about less than 10mins walk way from the nearest mrt.
