As soon as I stepped into this restaurant, I felt like it was something special. It’s a place you should definitely visit at least once, if not more, because it’s not just about the yummy food, but also the great vibe.
Dangau Langkawi is like a hidden treasure in Langkawi, surrounded by beautiful nature and a really nice atmosphere. One cool thing about Dangau Langkawi is that the staff all wear traditional Malay costumes, like what Hang Tuah would wear.
They offer a variety of traditional Malay dishes, from tasty ikan bakar to rich gulai ikan and udang sambal petai. You shouldn’t miss trying the siput retak seribu masak lemak, sotong goreng kunyit, and fresh ulam-ulaman with assorted sambal belacan. All my favourite! I even played traditional game, congkak while waited for our food.

Well known for the ORIGIN BAR, did you know they have a grill house beside? With a new revamped menu, we head there for a girls date night.
Helm by Chef de Cuisine Simon Bell who unveils a tantalizing new menu, and highlight on their sizzling grilled meat especially the Josper Charcoal Grilled Steaks, uniquely cut and paired with appetisers and sides boasting bold flavors and Southeast Asian flair.
The Crispy Pork Belly ($28++) meticulously prepared with an 8-hour scoring and seasoning process followed by a 12-hour confit in pork fat, crisped to perfection in their Josper Grill. Brilliant and must try dish!
For mains, relish the A4 Kagoshima striploin ($138++ for 200g), expertly grilled in their Josper oven at 400 degrees Celsius, or indulge in the succulent Kinross Station Lamb Rack ($68++), char-grilled to perfection over coals and adorned with roasted chopped pistachios and a hint of salt.

Hidden Gem of Lala pot in Kepong !

Lala-pot or 啦啦煲has been a trend recently. I go KL to search for 1 good lala pot because I really don’t want to go try those hype lala pot restaurant. 😂 So I found this Bang bang go hotpot (棒棒锅)located at Kepong !
Don’t expect so many “pattern” cooking method show, this place just serve the pot to you and you just wait for it to be cooked fully. It’s still charcoal cook. Main ingredients the lala are huge and good. 👍🏻
What other ingredients I will recommend you to add:
1) Live Tiger Prawns (When served it’s dead because they upfront on the spot kill already to prevent them jumping off your table, but cooked already you eat you will know it’s not a scam, it’s guaranteed fresh and chewy)
2) Winter Melon and Chinese cabbage, because it will enhance your soup flavours to another level.
3) Beef slices , super tender !
4) 1 more kg lala, trust me because it’s so good 1 kg won’t be enough !

Everything I Ate on Business Class
SHARE THIS with your friends flying business class and are wondering how the food will look/taste like! I recently embarked on a 16-hour transcontinental journey from Seattle to Singapore in the lap of luxury with the privilege of preselecting meals through the 'Book The Cook' menu and the experience did not disappoint.
Starting with a smoked salmon appetizer drizzled with white balsamic vinaigrette, the journey unfolded with a perfectly flakey salmon, accompanied by cornbread, brussel sprouts, and a side of garlic bread. When it came to desserts, the options were equally tempting, ranging from ice cream, cakes, fruits or cheese.
