Hong Kong Itinerary
Full day itinerary for your reference!!
Started the morning in Kennedy Town and had a very authentic HK dimsum experience. The Kennedy town signage is a popular photospot for Chinese tourist. Next to it has a nice % Arabica Coffee shop. Highly recommend if you need a cuppa.
Then we headed to Central via MTR and went to the peak. Use your octopus card for quick access! We took the tram up and hike the circular trail. Was a bit humid and cloudy thanks to monsoon season. There is a nice mall with plenty of food options (Mak's Wanton is good) and also bubbletea!
Took the bus down to Admiralty cos is cheaper than tram. We walked around before going to Causeway Bay for some shopping and steamboat dinner. This restaurant has a old school theme and totally worth the visit. The food portion is huge so go with more people! On the way to MTR, i stopped for Yeeshun Milk Pudding. Sweet and traditional.
Final stop was the AIA ferris wheel. We bought the tickets on site. Unfortunately, it was raining while i queue, so the glass had water droplets and I cannot see much outside. Each capsule is 8 people and shared with strangers so hope to get the window seat!
Then i end the night with a very full stomach!!

Heart of Hong Kong, Victoria Harbor Cruise
#summerfest #victoriapeak #starferryhongkong
Victoria Harbor is the heart and soul of Hong Kong. The best way to see it is by the charming Star Ferry Line plying it way across the harbor throughout the day and night.
The ferry boats make the short trip back and forth so there is always a boat coming or going. The ride opens to views in every direction, from the shore line vista with the Hong Kong Convention Center up to the top of Victoria Peak on Hong Kong Island or on the way back to Kowloon’s #hongkong historic clock tower flanked by some of the best museums and shopping in the world.
The beauty that is Hong Kong
Not sure if you should visit Hong Kong ?
Here's a look at Hong Kong day and night from different angles: I hope it helps you make up your mind.
The photos were taken at Victoria Harbor, the M+ Museum, and The Peak.
PS : Hong Kong is one of the most photographed and beautiful city skylines in the world.

A beautiful hike, central to Victoria Peak
There’s a lot of posts out there that discuss the beauty view of Hong Kong from Victoria Peak. Most people take the tram, which is good, but trust me that the view is twice as good after you have earned it from hiking there yourself.
Read on if you want a simple guide to follow so you can get yourself all the way from Hong Kong central to Victoria Peak via a beautiful nature filled trail.
We started the day about 9am and we’re eating lunch and drinking a well deserved beer by 1. It’ll be a bit shorted if, unlike me, you’re fit and don’t dilly dally.
Ok, a simple place to start is from the Hong Kong Center Metro strip. May I suggest exit D2. From there get yourself onto theater street where you’ll find yourself a public information post complete with a local map (see pictures).
From here, follow the maps directions to the escalators and follow them all the way up.
You don’t have to take the escalators and can just follow them instead so you can gain calves of steel.
The last escalator should bring you up to conduit road (see pictures). At this point you have a choice, go left and take the tram up to the top or turn right and continue your hike.
Once you’ve take the obvious choice of turning right, follow the road for about 15 minutes (give or take) until you finally come to a split in the road. You’ll want to go uphill up Hatton Road (see pictures of my pasty friend pointing the right way. No worries if you over shoot this road, if you continue you’ll eventually hit a small fire station. Just to the side of this are some steps that will take you to the trail.
And here you are, this is the Morning Trail. It’ll be just under 3km (up some steep hills) to the peak. It’s a beautiful nature filled trail that is very conveniently signposted.
3 sweaty kilometers later you’ll find yourself at the Top of Victoria peak.
Weirdly, there’s 2 malls there. I suggest going into the smaller one (should be on your left) where you can purchase a ticket to go to the roof terrace to get a truly spectacular view of Hong Kong Island and Kowloon.
Finally, to finish your journey I suggest taking the tram down and enjoy the beautiful view and the slightly rollercoaster like ride. You can use your Octopus card for this. Make sure you get one of these for your time in HK, these things are amazing.
Why not hit two birds with one stone. From the Tram’s terminus it is only a short walk to Hong Kong Zoo. It’s easily sign posted.
WARNING!
If you’re like me, rather unfit, then please be prepared to be humiliated by the local older residents who seem to complete this hike daily and zoom right past you with wheeze and sweat yourself up the trail.

Victoria Peak, Hong Kong
Victoria Peak is one of the must-see attractions in Hong Kong. This place is located at an altitude of 428 m above sea level, and the most beautiful view of the city opens from there. The legendary Peak Tram first appeared here in 1888 and is still functioning properly. The tram overcomes the ascent to the top at an angle of 45 degrees in 7-8 minutes. A trailer departs from the bottom point every 15 minutes. You need to get off at the Central Metro Station from the second exit and follow the signs to find the station.
We paid 148 dollars/adult ticket (including return trip by tram).

The Peak - Hong Kong
Victoria Peak is located on the western part of Hong Kong Island. It is also known as Mount Austin, and locally as The Peak. It is the highest hill on Hong Kong Island with an elevation of 552 metres.
You can get there by different means, walking, bus, taxi or tram which is very unique experience, whatching all the buildings made next to the hill.
You can spend your day and night at the top of mountain ⛰️ enjoying 360° view to Hong Kong city. I wasn’t so lucky and the weather let’s say was not in my favor but I am sure that on a good sunny day the view is just breathtaking 🥲

The venerable Peak Tram 🚋 Hong Kong
The venerable Peak Tram is a funicular railway in Hong Kong. Running from Garden Road Admiralty to Victoria Peak via the Mid-Levels. Carring tourists and residents to the upper levels of Hong Kong Island.
Providing the most direct route (8 minutes each way) and offers amazing views over the harbour and skyscrapers of Hong Kong.
Definitely worth the time in the line! As even in that case it is faster, buses need at least one hour along the winding hill roads.
I tried to make this video shorter but decided to let you see as much as possible 😵💫🥲
10/10 - Have to give it a try if you are in Hong Kong!

Walk the Peak
A trip to Victoria Peak is a must for visitors to Hong Kong. Many ride up the Peak Tram and enjoy the view from there but don't know there's much more to see.
A circle route takes you all the way around the Peak, giving a view in every direction. Parts of the trail go through well established forest and it feels more like being in the jungle than in the middle of a densely populated city.
It's definitely one of the best places to see the skylines of Central and Kowloon, separated by Victoria Harbour.
The circle takes about an hour at a reasonable walking pace.
To get there, take the Peak Tram or climb up one of several trails from Central. There are also buses available.

Breathtaking Views at Victoria Peak - Go Early to Avoid Crowds
Victoria Peak in Hong Kong is definitely worth the visit for its breathtaking panoramic views of the city. The experience is truly unforgettable, offering a unique perspective of Hong Kong's skyline, harbor, and lush greenery. However, it's crucial to go in the morning to avoid the huge crowds. By arriving early, you can enjoy a more peaceful and enjoyable visit, taking in the scenery without the long waits and packed viewing platforms. Highly recommended!#victoriapeak #hongkong #thepeak

Beautiful view of Hong Kong at Victoria Peak
#victoriapeak #thepeak #hknightview
Went to The Peak at night to enjoy the view. It was breathtaking and the landscape between Hong Kong island and Kowloon side can be seen from the top. It was a bit chilly when we went to the peak, however, it is still bearable. This beautiful scenery should be visited at least once when visiting Hong Kong. Highly recommended tourist spot!
🇭🇰 The Peak Tram up to Victoria Peak

It’s in our to do list to take the Peak Tram in Hong Kong. We enjoyed our ride and lucky for us, there was less queue in the morning. From start to the end, the Peak Tran provides seamless service and an enjoyable journey to Victoria Peak. As we ascended, we get to appreciate the stunning paranomic views of Hong Kong’s skyline and the surrounding mountains through the large windows. A tip for those who is planning to visit The Peak Tram, take the seat on the right side for a greater view. I highly recommend this tour ! #hongkong #thepeaktram #victoriapeak #timetotravel

the best place to watch the sunset and the city at night. The Victoria Peak is one of the highest point where you can see the city lights at night.

Victoria Peak Hong Kong
What an epic view from the top of Victoria Peak! Should definitely be on your go to list when you're in Hong Kong. Enjoy the view and take beautiful pictures. It's quite busy and I would recommend buying a ticket before you go. When you buy a ticket for the hop on hop off bus the Victoria Peak entrance ticket is included.

This picture was taken in Victoria Peak tram in Hongkong. I got so excited when we went here because we were able to ride in Peak Train. The experience was good. We took many pictures since the view was so nice and the ambience was so cozy! I will definitely go back here with my family and friends so they can also experience the train and got to see this very beautiful view. ❤️#victoriapeak

ℹ️ With over 7,800 high-rise buildings, it has twice as many as its closest rival, New York City! The city's impressive skyline is truly a sight to behold and is best enjoyed from the top of Victoria Peak. Don't forget to bring your camera!

Victoria Peak
When planning what to visit in Hong Kong, be sure to pay attention to Victoria Peak. This is perhaps the most must-see attraction in Hong Kong for everyone who came here for the first time. This is the highest point on Hong Kong Island, located at an altitude of 0.552 km above sea level. In the 19th century, this peak was even used as a lighthouse for incoming ships. Today, there are several ways to climb to the heights to enjoy superb views.
One way is by bus. To do this, you should first get to the Central metro station, from where you can get to pier number 5 or number 7, where there will be a bus stop. The bus goes from the pier to the very top, but the travel time will be considerable - from 30 minutes to an hour. The road is winding, but there are interesting views along the way.
The most budgetary way, difficult, but at the same time full of impressions, is climbing the peak on foot. To do this, get to the Central or Hong Kong subway station, walk to the escalator and climb to the very top. Once up, turn left onto Conduit Road, walk to Old Peak Road and walk up it, watching the city views gradually give way to forest ones. The walk will take about half an hour in total.
And, of course, the most popular and easiest option is to take the famous Peak Tram funicular, which has been operating since 1888. Its only disadvantage is that there are many people who want to climb, and you will have to stand in a long queue. Direct travel time will be about 7 minutes.
At the top of the mountain there are several viewing platforms with stunning views of the bay, green outskirts, and the view of the city with its skyscrapers and colossal infrastructure opens up in full view here. Here, at the height, there are also a lot of restaurants and cafes with dizzying views from the windows, as well as shops, an exhibition gallery and the Madame Tussauds wax museum.

VICTORIA PEAK (THE PEAK)
You haven't seen the best of Hong Kong until you've taken in the skyline from Victoria Peak, more commonly known as The Peak. Ride the tram to the top of this scenic viewpoint to see the skyscrapers, bustling city, harbor, and surrounding islands.
The tram station is located near the entrance to Hong Kong Park by the Murray building. At the top of the tram are the Peak Tower and Peak Galleria, with shops, restaurants, and an observation deck. Most of The Peak is covered by a large park with lush greenery, nature trails, and more beautiful lookouts with views over the thriving metropolis below.
A trail also leads down from The Peak to the city below, following a mix of trails through the forest and sections of road here and there. It can be a bit confusing finding your way. See our article on Hong Kong hiking trails for more details.
Evening is a great time to visit The Peak, when you can see the spectacular skyline lit against the night sky. This is one of the best views in Hong Kong at night. If the tram line is long, or you want to go directly from your hotel, you can also take a taxi to the top.
