A symbol of harmony and tranquility.
Visiting the World Peace Pagoda in Pokhara was a serene experience. As I walked up from Damside, the majestic stupa emerged, exuding tranquility against the backdrop of lush landscapes. Its presence felt profound, a tangible symbol of peace that transcends words. The atmosphere was serene, inviting introspection and a sense of calm.
Encircled by nature's beauty, the pagoda stood as a testament to humanity's yearning for harmony. For cultural explorers, it's an essential stop, offering not just a glimpse into Nepal's spiritual heritage but also a chance to connect with the universal longing for peace.

Serenity at its peak.
Boudhanath Stupa. This is what I call serene.#bucketlistreboot#mytripvlog #stupa #nepal #peace #peaceful. Named after its immense stupa, Boudhha is a pilgrimage destination for Tibetans. Devotees stroll around the gleaming white dome adorned with painted Buddha eyes and visit nearby monasteries and schools for prayers and seminars. Tucked-away eateries serve up momos and thukpa noodle soup, while more upmarket restaurants offer stupa views. Silk thangka paintings are a popular buy in the area’s souvenir shops. The vibe and the atmosphere around the stupa always puts to peace.#bucketlistreboot

Phra That Si Song Rak
(Stupa of Love from the Two Nations)
A Lao-style white pagoda was built to symbolize the mutual friendship between the kings of Ayutthaya and Sri Sattana Khanahut (Vientiane). It is a famous religious venue for couples to pray for everlasting love.
Red attires (dress, umbrella, hat) are not allowed in this temple, as well as red flowers because red symbolizes blood and violence and they have belief that red would be a bad omen for the sense of friendship implied here. (If you wish to visit here never wear reds.)
Location: Man River, Dan Sai, Loei Province, Thailand

Must Visit Site in Myanmar -Shwedagon
#createwithtrip to the most sacred Buddhist pagoda in Myanmar, Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon. It is believed that the construction started 2,500 years ago, which would make it the oldest Buddhist stupa in the world. The stupa was built to house relics of Buddha.
Best time to visit is an hour before sunset as the place does not have much sheltered areas and it can get quite hot in the afternoon. Plan for 1.5 hours for your visit, it’s great to sit and watch the world goes by while waiting for the pagoda to be at it’s most beautiful moment during sunset. It’s very calming place too.

Magical Boudhanath Stupa, Kathmandu, Nepal
Bouddha, also known as Boudhanath, Khasti Chaitya and Khāsa Chaitya is a stupa in Kathmandu, Nepal. Located about 11 km from the center and northeastern outskirts of Kathmandu, its massive mandala makes it one of the largest spherical stupas in Nepal and the world.
Boudha stupa is semicircle shaped and contains the relics and remains of Buddha. Boudha Stupa was listed in world heritage list by UNESCO in 1979 and it is one of the most popular tourist sites in Kathmandu.
This is a huge stupa but you cannot go inside. Lots of prayer wheels and you can light candles as well.
Stupa has been the site of religious pilgrimage and devotion for millennia. According to legend, this Buddhist stupa was built by an old woman and her four sons. The myth goes on to say that her determination inspired the erection of a number of temples throughout Nepal.
