The sacred twin Pagodas atop Doi Inthanon's Peak
Hidden in the serene tranquility of Doi Inthanon National Park in Thailand are two architectural marvels, the intertwined sacred twins - Pra Mahatat Noppamethanedon and Pra Mahatat Nopphonphusiri. Erected in honor of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit's respective 60th birthdays, these two pagodas serve as enduring memorials.
Nestled in the heart of the park, these magnificent edifices reach towards the heavens, framed by the verdant abundance of the park and the panoramic vistas beyond. Their architectural grandeur echoes the traditional Thai Buddhist temples' essence, infused with a contemporary touch that adds a dash of distinction.
The interiors house Buddha relics and intricate murals depicting the life of Buddha, inviting a moment of quiet reflection. Outside, the beautiful surrounding gardens, adorned with vibrant flowers, offer a space of serene contemplation. The panoramic views of the park and the valleys from the pagodas' grounds are equally spellbinding.
Embracing the ethos of peace and reverence, my visit to Pra Mahatat Noppamethanedon and Pra Mahatat Nopphonphusiri was a unique spiritual journey, intertwining natural beauty and profound symbolism, forever etched in my memory.

Wat Ratchanatdaram Worawihan Bangkok
Wat Ratchanatdaram Worawihan, also known as Loha Prasat, is a unique and culturally significant Buddhist temple located in the historic district of Bangkok, Thailand. The temple's history and distinctive architecture make it a revered site among locals and a captivating attraction for visitors from around the world.
The construction of Wat Ratchanatdaram Worawihan was commissioned by King Rama III of the Chakri Dynasty in the early 19th century. The king's vision was to create a remarkable temple complex that would reflect the elegance of traditional Thai architecture while incorporating innovative and distinctive elements.
One of the most striking features of the temple is its multi-tiered Loha Prasat, or "Metal Castle," which consists of concentric square levels topped with a soaring spire. The architectural design of Loha Prasat draws inspiration from the ancient Buddhist monument of the same name in India, with the Bangkok version being a unique expression of Thai craftsmanship and cultural heritage.

Thailand's Buddhist treasures discovered
On a very hot afternoon, with temperatures close to 40 degrees celsius, I decided to explore Chiang Mai's Old City.
I have always been very interested in Buddhism and am fascinated with the breathtaking architecture of Buddhist buildings. Having spent a lot of time in Nepal and northern India, Thai Buddhist temples are completely different. The shape of the temple itself and all its golden details will leave you speechless ⛩️🛕🇹🇭
The statues inside the temples are also typical Thai style. And beside the statues of Buddha's you will also find hunan-sized statues of high monks, so wonderfully created with the smallest possible details that it almost looks real. Almost scary, so real.
I can spend hours in Thai temples. I just find myself a little corner in the main shrine and do some meditation. 🧘
Where are these temples?
Everywhere!
Literally every street in Chiang Mai's Old City has at least 2 or 3 temples, usually all open to visitors.
Rather than going to night markets or bars, I like to spend my precious travel time exploring temples.
So what are you waiting for? Go. Explore! 👟

Wat Chetawan (Thai Buddhist Chetawan Temple)
From the picture everyone will think of Thailand , well from the infrastructure of the building itself give everyone that first impression and thought that it is in Thailand. Not this time, I don’t say everyone is ignorant or clueless but for those that haven’t know yet, well this is what we called “Wat” or easy word is temple for the buddhist to perform their prayers. And the prayers on daily basis will perform by monks according to the fixed prayer time following the religion teaching.
This temple is situated in Petaling Jaya, and it is well known for the Siam community (Malaysian Thai minority), but don’t judge them wrong, because they are also apart of the bumiputera in Malaysia. Hence, for the pure Thai origin means without any cross breed between race children, their immunity as equal as the other known bumiputera in Malaysia. Well thats a small historical knowledge that I unintentionally shared, since I was enjoying typing why not I just remain it here. #thaitemples #architecture #religious #mymymemories
