Experience the Rail Bike in Gapyeong ✨️
Welcome to Gapyeong Rail Park!
There are many Rail parks in Korea and one of the most beautiful I found is this Gapyeong one.
You need to do reservation beforehand as they run out of tickets very quickly. Their site has a very good description and directions to reach here without any problem.
There are 2 kinds of bikes, one with 2 people and other with 4 people capacity. They are electric, you just need to paddle a few times and then the electric engine kicks off making it very easy to ride and no exhaustion at all.
The scenes around the track are just marvelous and we were lucky to find the weather very misty. It appeared that the clouds had really come so down and descended the mountains that they were touching the water!
We crossed a bridge, a tunnel of trees on both sides and it is said that during spring this track is completely covered with cherry blossom 🌸
Do add it to your itinerary if u are visiting Namiseom :)

Petit France
Petite France is a French cultural village set in the Korean countryside. Designed with the theme concept, "flowers, stars, and the Little Prince," the village offers experience programs, training facilities, and accommodations. Additional attractions within the village include a memorial hall dedicated to Saint-Exupery, the author of the celebrated French novel, Le Petit Prince (1943); Orgel House where a 200-year-old music box plays a sweet melody; a French housing exhibition; a gallery displaying sculptures and paintings of le coq gaulois (the Gallic rooster), the national symbol of France; and many other galleries and shops to experience French culture. The training facility can accommodate up to 200 visitors in rooms that hold four to ten people each.

Petite France
Petite France is one of those popular spots for tourists to get away to when they head out of Seoul. It’s in Gapyeong, an area that has a lot to do so it’s a great area to take a day trip from Seoul to see not one, but multiple fun things. From gardens and parks with light festivals to farms, islands, and unique villages, there’s a ton to do in the area.
Petite France is one of those Instagrammable hot spots to the east of Seoul in Korea that makes for a great day trip from the city. Popular with K-drama fans as it has been a set for numerous shows and Petite Prince fans because the little prince is everywhere you look, the village is a colorful find in the green and blue mountainside. Set in the mountains of Gapyeong, the petite village is an easy stop to make along with other fun must see areas like Nami Island or Garden Of The Morning Calm. You could even make a stop here if you’re on the way out to Alpaca World if you want something to break up the drive. It’s a bit quirky, a lot rom7antic, and completely adorable.
Getting There - The trip out to the station and then onto the bus can rack up a lot of time, so a lot of people opt to take a day tour. Numerous companies offer them and you can combine Petite France with some nearby stops with ease. Here are a couple options to look into:
Attractions - A plethora of beautifully cotton candy colored French style buildings in the mountains of Gapyeong.
Hotels - There is no hotel in Petit France
Food & Restaurants - There is only 2 small cafes here.
Shopping - You can find souvenirs shopping here.

Malddong Donuts
Personally, I am always on the lookout for unique dessert spots in Korea. When you're living abroad, it can be hard to find that spot that brings you a little closer to home.
If you're living in Korea and venture out near Gapyeong, you need to try a spot called Malddong Donuts. The outside welcomes you with vivid rainbow colors. When you enter inside, you feel as if you're a kid again. The playground setting with flashing neon lights and plenty of photo spots is enough of a reason to try this place. But what about the food?
So, this donut shop has cases of fancy donuts with various toppings that matcha, oreo, sprinkles, and more. They also have coffee and other drinks. If you want a sugar high, you can get a milkshake to go with your donut. The milkshakes come in chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. They have more of a frappuccino consistency but it still hits the spot. Just an FYI, the milkshakes are topped off with a decorative donut.
Would I recommend this place? Absolutely make the trek at least once just to say you tried it. It's a little far out in the countryside. Takes about two hours on the Seoul subway plus a 15-minute taxi.
