Museum of Art Pudong📍Shanghai
Visiting exhibition around shanghai, the one that caught my eye was this particular installation based art called “Gravity Theater” by the artist Xu Bing 😍
Xu Bing tailor made installation is installed in the main hallway of the museum which is hanging 30 feet from the ceiling and is pulled downwards by gravity with distorted chinese pinyin letters reflected by the huge mirror placed at the bottom of the installation showing the mutual penetration between the work and the space with a shocking visual effect 🤩😍
The making of the installation has various videos installed in the basement floor where you can see how it was assembled and the step by step process from sketch to design and the final outcome is really impressive to see 😍
Visit this amazing installation and enjoy learning about how it was made, and walking to the top 3F you can see the close up of the letters and take amazing images 😍😍

Brunch but edgy! ✨
What an eccentric restaurant! Bandit is an edgy restaurant with funky colors and decor, perfect for photos. It’s a large venue with multiple floors, areas for dining and play, and a huge DJ booth and dance floor. I explored every room and took several photos.
I went here for brunch and ordered the pancakes and a duck leg. I enjoyed both. I also tried my friend’s chicken and waffles. It was savory and flavorful. A different twist to it with the poached egg. The menu was decently priced and the restaurant is located not too far from Jing’an Temple (about 10 mins walk).

Shanghai weekend trip
Shanghai very crowded and popular city.
Day 1: Disneyland
Very easy to get to by metro or taxi, and the park is smaller and can get to different rides very quickly.
One negative it's was very busy and a lot of queuing up, each ride was around 1hr and 30 mins waiting. But the night time firework show was amazing and there are two times to watch it (7:30pm and 9:15pm) .
Day 2: Shanghai city
Pearl Tower, has amazing views and worth it go to the top to the space capsule, less people and for better pictures. On the lower level there is the glass bridge walk which was amazing to see the city below my feet. One negative was the queues and big crowds better to get there earlier.
After, went to the Yu garden, beautiful place to walk around and get souvenirs. Then walked up to the bund view and get a lovely view of the Pearl and city landscape.
Finally walked down the famous Nanjing Road .

My Favourite Bakery in Town !!
I have to admit is misjudged Drunk Baker at first 🥺.
I usually avoid chains and prefer the local and authentic spots but after trying their pastries I got converted instantly 🤤☕
not only the coffee is very cheap as is super good ! Then, we have the pastries, croissant, bagel, cinnamon rolls and much more 🥐🥔 !
Love the quiet atmosphere of the square, just 5 min walk from Xujiahui Park!
oh, and the bread??? The best Baguettes I can find as well as the ciabattas ! 🍞
Have a try ! trust me, almost feels like I am back in Portugal when I eat those almond croissants !

Breakfast at Tiffany’s ✨
Not just instagrammable, Tiffany’s Blue Box Cafe Shanghai is a must visit! Breakfast was delightful. It included the Flagship Waffle, Smoked Icelandic Cod & Potato Croquette, New York Crab Cake Benedict, the Signature Chocolate Heart, and the Tiffany Blue Martini. Each dish was beautifully prepared. The service was accommodating. The ambience and decor was classy and luminescent. Located in Shanghai’s Xintiandi Tiffany & Co inside the Hong Kong Plaza.

Worth the Michelin Star ✨
Dinner at Il Ristorante - Niko Romito was quite the fine dining experience. Authentic Italian dishes made to perfection, hence the Michelin star. The head chef, Mauro Aloisio, even came out to greet all the guests at their tables. I told him about my fine dining adventures and how I thoroughly enjoy experiencing a little piece of the world every time I try a new restaurant. Kudos to the culinary team at Il Ristorante-Niko Romito at the Bvlgari Hotel Shanghai on exceptional service and delicious cuisine. ✨

The BEST rooftop for photos in Shanghai 😍
In love with that feeling you get when you’re on top of the world✨
If you’re looking to get a spectacular view of the oriental pearl tower, definitely check out FLAIR rooftop!
Located in the center of Lujiazui, FLAIR offers a perfect spot for viewing the entire Shanghai city line, The bund, and the Huangpu River.
Note that the bar is located on the 58th floor, directly on top of the Ritz Carlton Hotel. Guests can take two elevators up directly.
Do also keep in mind that it is a popular spot and a bit difficult to get seats (we waited about 1 hour on a Sunday evening) so be sure to call and make a reservation early if you want guaranteed seats. If you’re just looking to get drinks, you can also just walk in as well!
Nonetheless, the atmosphere and views were second to none and it was an absolute blast taking photos there with my friends!

Everything looks better with a view ✨
Scena is a stunning Italian Restaurant located in the Ritz-Carlton Shanghai-Pudong with a breathtaking panorama of the iconic Bund. Dining on the 52nd floor of this prestigious hotel allows for scenic, aerial views of the city and front row seats to the nightly Bund light show. A 6pm seating offers a viewing of the sunset while watching the restaurant transform from day to night, with glistening decor and lighting ideal for an intimate evening.
Dinner was divine. It included Handmade Ravioli stuffed with Lamb, Artichokes, and Pecorino Cheese Fondue, Baked Herb Chicken with Roasted Potatoes, and “Alaska on Fire”. The ravioli was amazing; I almost ordered 2 portions! The chicken was succulent and seasoned to perfection. Dessert was sweet and creamy with a light crisp.
I would indisputably recommend this restaurant for beautiful ambience, a remarkable view of the Bund, and delicious Italian fare.

The EDITION Shanghai
The founder of Edison, Ian Schrager, chose Neri&Hu Studio for the renovation of the old building. During the design process, Neri&Hu made a lot of references to the traces of the original building. The iconic "triangular windows", "pitched roof" and "brown wall bricks" of the East China Electric Power Building have been preserved as historical witnesses and the most valuable details of the building itself. Overlooking the hotel's terrace bar from above, the most conspicuous thing is the flagpole preserved from the old building.
Entering the lobby, you first pass by an exquisite and modern bar. The ultra-high zenith wrapped in dark wood is hung with a metal chandelier, which is a specially customized installation light from Eric Schmit, a French architectural decoration master. On the large and relaxing sofa, three or two people are drinking and chatting. Founder Ian Schrager has the concept of "Lobby Social", which is to make the hotel lobby a meeting place. The warm light design and home layout add a warm and relaxed atmosphere to the overall space. The Hiya Dining Lounge Chair is from the Rén series designed by Space Copenhagen for Stellar Works.
Large areas of wooden elements are used in the guest rooms to create a warm and jade-like sense of home. Each guest room has the works of Mr. Xia Yongkang, the royal photographer of Wong Kar Wai. These emotionally charged black-and-white photos offer glimpses of Shanghai from a bygone era, in stark contrast to the breathtaking cityscape beyond.
