With such high increase in rent prices in Australia, finding a place to stay that is still within budget and located not too far from CBD is a real task! ESPECIALLY if you’re looking for more than 1 month stay. Hotels are crazy expensive and most affordable units are located so far away in suburb. I found this unit at Monmarte Apartment through Pearl Apartment, and with the price, the location was just perfect for my stay. Just search on Google Maps and you’ll find everything :) Facility - Studio Room with comfy double bed, big sofa, spacious area to also get some workout done, TV with Netflix, nice kitchen with oven-stove unit and super complete kitchenwares and cutleries, bathroom with bathub, dedicated parking spot. #celebratewithtrip a cute restaurant overlooking the beach, called republica at st kilda beach. the restaurant has a nice view of the beach and you can choose to dine either indoor or outdoor. they serve snacks and bar bites which is perfect for you to just eat and chill. also some drinks to go along with your meal if you would like. decoration of the restaurant is also very pretty as seen on the pictures where they have these cute statues shaped in animals and just chilling out of the restaurant. highly recommend visiting if you wanna sit by the beach but not on the sand and instead in a restaurant. but it’s cold outdoor!

#australiatrip For our wedding anniversary trip, we took a short trip to Melbourne. It was in September so it was still pretty chilly which was a nice escape from the tropical heat. We stayed at St Kilda for the first half of the trip just to get away from city life. Our hotel was walking distance to the beach and the pier so it was nice to be able to just walk around everywhere. You can actually observe a colony of little penguins at St Kilda Pier and Breakwater in the evenings. We couldn’t take flash photography and it was pretty dark in the evening so we didn’t get to snap many photos unfortunately. In the day, we took a stroll to the beach and had lunch at Donovan’s which had a lovely terrace facing the water. We were seated at a table next to the window with ocean views so that was nice! The menu was comfort Australian food and it was delicious. There were so many lovely little restaurants at St Kilda so my husband and I were spoilt for choice. We love Italian food so we had pizza at a quaint Italian joint, Topolino’s. Following that was coffee and chocolate tart at another Italian restaurant, Cafe Di Stasio. Melbourne has lovely markets and we visited South Melbourne Market and the oldest market in Melbourne, Queen Victoria Market. We usually tend to visit malls so these bustling vintage markets with a huge array of food and retail options was something we massively enjoyed. One of the things you will notice about Melbourne is the street art and one of the places that you’ll get to see these vibrant artworks is Hosier Lane. Graffiti, usually frowned upon in other cities is celebrated here, and as it should! These street artworks are so gorgeous and the bright splashes of colour add a vibrancy to an otherwise average alley. Though it was a short holiday, we thoroughly enjoyed Melbourne and it was a nice and relaxing escape from the tropical heat of Singapore. #travel #couplestrip #thingstodo

A trip to Melbourne Day 4 Leave early to fight Lune Croissantie again Try the hazelnut chocolate flavor too After eating, we went to Queen Victoria Market for a walk Slight rain 🌧️ plus a sharp drop in temperature I'm tired after walking for a while After buying something, we took the bus to Cocobei Docklands for lunch The food looks good and is great for taking pictures But the portion was too big to eat Let's go to Luna Park to play🎡 It's like going back to Ocean Park in the 1980s The screams of the women playing octopus🐙 could be heard throughout the park I'm sure she's the highest decibel woman in the audience 🤣 Some facilities are not open due to rain During this period, we encountered hail for the first time The temperature of the natural body is only 4 degrees Plus the coastal areas are super windy 🌬️ Definitely the hardest day of the trip After playing, we immediately rushed to a nearby restaurant to watch the sunset🌅 and rest Ordered the fish and chips 🍟 that I lost yesterday It replenished a little vitality Due to too cold Decided to cancel the evening night market trip Went to the supermarket and bought a lot of cheese🧀ham and smoked salmon back to the hotel for dinner Also ate super happy 😋 The honey cheese and black truffle cheese are definitely worth a try If possible I want to buy a large amount back to Hong Kong 🥹 #February Good Places 2025

#australiaroadtrip Personally if you're older I mostly went in appreciation of the architecture and the preserved nature of the rides and attractions themselves. Especially the Scenic Rollercoaster A. Which is operated by 2 people that are always standing in the kart while everyone else is strapped in. It's so cool to see an old tradition, skill and machine still being used and passed down for so many generations. The Carousel is also just such a sight to behold ?. The amazing history and the sheer beauty of the Carousel is just amazing to see the preservation of. And the history of it too, so cool. I just wish there was some more stuff to do for adults, maybe possibly a tour of the Parks history.

#newyearnewtrip Oh, St Kilda Pier, you stole a pizza my heart! From the moment I stepped onto the iconic walkway, I knew I was in for a treat. The salty air, the sound of the waves crashing against the pier, and the distant cries of the seagulls – pure bliss! I strolled along, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere, watching the buskers entertain the crowds, and trying not to get too jealous of the people fishing (they looked like they knew what they were doing, unlike me). But the real magic happened at dusk. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the little penguin colony emerged, waddling their adorable selves along the breakwater. It was the cutest thing I'd ever seen! St Kilda Pier is the perfect place for a romantic stroll, a family outing, or just a solo adventure to reconnect with nature (and maybe grab some delicious fish and chips while you’re at it). Just be prepared to fall head over heels for the penguins.

For those of us who have slept on the beach there is an old community here. sometimes in Summer you may see bottle nosed dolphins or porpoises from St Kilda up to Station Pier.#stkilda

Amazing sunset at St Kilda’s Pier witnessed at about 8pm on a breezy summer night. Breathtaking. Afterwards you can take 96 tram back to the city. Highly recommended experience to take a stroll in this area, connected all the way to Brighton Beach. Wide walking paths with many walking their dogs or pushing their babies on prams, relaxing and scenic. Would do this again someday!
