2025 South Geelong Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in April)

A day trip by train from Melbourne introduced by an author who loves overseas trains 🚃 This time I went to Geelong. 📍Cafe Go. First, fill your stomach. Fill your stomach with a vegetable sandwich with a paste like hummus and a flat white. It has a natural atmosphere and the food and coffee are delicious, so it's a highly recommended restaurant ☕️ 📍Geelong Botanic Gardens A botanical garden that you can enter for free. There are many plants that you can't see in Japan. It's large enough that you can walk around it in about an hour (it's quite large!!!!). There are wooden dolls here and there. They are expressive and adorable! 🧡 📍Geelong Beach It seems that you can swim in the sea in summer. I visited in winter, so I took a walk along the sea. There are also many wooden doll statues here. The dolls related to the sea are very cute. It's also recommended to take a photo together❣️ 📍Little Creatures Brewery, Geelong A brewery located about 30 minutes walk from the city. There is a brewery that produces beer that can be purchased at supermarkets. You can participate in a beer tour by prior reservation. Even without a tour, it's an exciting place to walk around the grounds and enjoy a barrel of beer and a meal! I enjoyed two beers and lunch! The food is reasonable and recommended🍻There were about 10 types of craft beer! 📍Vinnies A second-hand store that can be found in various places. It's next to the brewery, so I visited it on the way. 📍Geelong Vintage Market Vintage goods are sold in a fairly large space. It's large, so I think it will take more than an hour to look from corner to corner. It's a space that antique lovers will love...!!! It's within walking distance from North Geelong Station. 📍Saint Helens Park A seaside park near North Geelong Station. It was calm and not crowded, so it was perfect for relaxing. Recommended for those who want to enjoy a leisurely, minor spot! 📍Patagonia Geelong Outlet T-shirts are about $30 and other products are also very cheap, making it an irresistible space for Patagonia fans! ! ! I recently visited the Little Creatures Brewery in Geelong, and it was quite an impressive experience. The atmosphere here is vibrant, with a design style that combines industrial and modern elements, giving a strong sense of craft beer culture. On the day, I chose several of their house-brewed beers, each with a different flavor. From the refreshing Pale Ale to the richer IPA, each one brought me a pleasant surprise. Besides the beer, the food here is equally commendable. The menu is diverse, and whether it's burgers, pizzas, or other snacks, the quality is quite good. I particularly liked their wood-fired pizza, with a crispy crust and fresh toppings, making it a perfect match with the beer. Overall, Little Creatures Geelong Brewery is not only a great place to taste craft beer but also an ideal spot to enjoy delicious food and a pleasant atmosphere. This experience makes me look forward to visiting again in the future.
