Bike tour Slovakia 🚲
#biketour
I just wrapped up an incredible bike tour through Slovakia, and it was a fantastic way to experience the country’s stunning landscapes! 🚴♂️ I started my journey in Bratislava and rode along the Danube River, taking in the picturesque views of vineyards and rolling hills. The bike paths are well-marked and mostly flat, making it suitable for all skill levels.
One highlight was cycling through the Small Carpathians, where I stopped at a few charming wineries for tastings. The entrance fees at the wineries were quite reasonable, usually around €5, and they often included a guided tour. After a few days of riding, I explored the historic town of Trnava, known for its beautiful churches and vibrant atmosphere.
If you’re considering a biking adventure, Slovakia offers a unique blend of nature, culture, and history. I highly recommend it!

Bratislava, Slovakia.
The plane landed at Vienna Airport on time at 07:15.
There will be a 15 hour transfer time here.
I quickly checked in my luggage for the next flight and saved myself a lot of trouble. Walk out of the airport with ease.
Where to go? Returning to Vienna?
I improvised, followed my inspiration, and jumped on the airport FlixBus. 45 minutes later, I arrived in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia.
It is located on the Danube River, close to the borders of Austria and Hungary. Stand on the hill of Bratislava Castle and overlook the meandering Danube River and the entire city. From the Gothic St. Martin's Cathedral to the Baroque Old Town Hall to the modern UFO Tower, each building tells a different story.
The rising sun dyed the sky golden, the Danube River sparkled under the sunlight, and the boats on the river floated slowly. I also quietly enjoyed this quiet moment in the busy morning.
Bratislava has a complex and eventful history. It was the capital of Hungary from 1526 to 1784, and later became part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire as it formed.
After the end of World War I in 1918, when the Austro-Hungarian Empire collapsed, the Czech and Slovak nations, which have close historical ties, chose to unite and jointly established the Czechoslovak Republic. Bratislava became its second city.
Czechoslovakia disintegrated on January 1, 1993, and Slovakia became a sovereign and independent country with Bratislava as its capital.
Walking on the cobblestone roads of the old city, you can feel the medieval style with its narrow streets, ancient buildings, and lively markets; while around the corner you may encounter modern art or fashionable cafes. This feeling of intertwining time and space is fascinating. Compared with many European big cities, Bratislava is quieter and more comfortable. There are no crowds and hustle and bustle here, allowing people to slow down and enjoy a leisurely travel time.
Lunch is classic Slovak grilled chicken and strong coffee.
Continue walking around this charming old town in the afternoon.
Michael's Gate - is the only preserved medieval city gate and a symbolic entrance into the old city.
Old Town Hall - Located in the main square, it is one of the oldest buildings. The building was built in the 13th century and was used as a prison and a mint. Now a museum,
Main Square - This is the heart of the old town, surrounded by various historical buildings and colorful houses.
St. Martin's Cathedral - This 15th-century Gothic cathedral is the largest church and was the coronation church for the Hungarian kings and queens.
Blue Church: Also known as St. Elizabeth's Church, this building is known for its candy-colored walls and roof and is one of the most beautiful Secession buildings.
Every corner of the old city has a story, and every building carries history.
At dusk, I returned to Vienna with a lot of memories.

Slovakia - Trencin Castle.
Trencin Castle, as one of the largest castle groups in Slovakia, is not only the highest point in Trencin and the entire Vah River Basin, but also an important symbol of Slovak history and culture. The castle was built in the 11th century AD and gradually developed and expanded on the basis of the original castle of the Great Moravian Principality. Its architectural form dates back to the 13th century, and it reached its peak in the late 13th and early 14th centuries, becoming the seat of the dynasty that ruled most of Slovakia.
History
However, Trencin Castle has also experienced many ups and downs. In the Trencin fire of 1790, the castle was unfortunately destroyed by fire. Fortunately, the lower level of the castle was renovated after the fire, and although full-scale reconstruction was not achieved until the 1950s, the castle still stands tall today, telling the story of its glorious history.
Strong Defense
The entire castle is surrounded by high walls and towers, with towers as high as 39 meters and walls as thick as 4 meters, making it perfectly resistant to external invasion. Standing high in the castle, you can overlook the entire city of Trencin and the beautiful scenery of the Vah River Basin, and feel the weight and solemnity of history.
Exhibitions
The interior of the castle is huge, with a wealth of historical relics and a museum. The museum displays precious artifacts such as the living utensils of the castle's owners, allowing visitors to gain a deeper understanding of the lifestyle and cultural background of the time.
The Legend of the Well of Love
In the castle, there is an ancient well called the "Well of Love". This well not only witnessed the historical changes of the castle, but also carries a romantic love story. According to legend, a young Turkish man named Tek Omar fell in love with a local girl named Fatima, but Fatima was captured and imprisoned in the castle by the local manor owner. In order to save his beloved, Tek Omar was forced to dig a well in the castle. After three years of hard work, he finally dug the well, and the manor owner released Fatima. From then on, the two lived happily together.
Although this story has a certain legendary color, Trencin Castle is more known for its perseverance and dedication. Today, the "Well of Love" has become a place for couples to pray. They throw coins into the well, praying for the god of love to witness and protect their love. This romance and dedication has also made Trencin Castle a famous tourist attraction in Slovakia and even Europe.

Am I the only one who loves the Blue Church⛪️❗️|| After seeing so many churches in Europe, my favorite is still the blue and white church in Slovakia🇸🇰. Before I came, I didn't think a church⛪️ could have such a dreamy color, really! I'm not exaggerating, it's really super dreamy here, definitely a niche travel destination worth checking out📸!
📍St. Elizabeth's Cathedral
You can see this church⛪️ from afar at the street corner, and I really want to rush over and hug it, it completely hits my girly heart, doesn't it! The large amount of sky blue and white combination is very unlike a church, so cute, just like something out of a fairy tale, stunning!💕
📍Bratislava Castle
Located in Hrad Square north of the old town, this two-story ivory palace🏰 building is elegant and grand. Climbing up the castle and looking out, the Danube River looks like a blue dress👗, and the bridges spanning the river look like ribbons tied around a girl's waist.
📍Trenčín Castle
One of the largest castle complexes🏰 in Slovakia, its history can be traced back to the Roman Empire era. It suffered a fire🔥 in 1790 and became ruins until it was fully rebuilt in the 1950s, which is the form we see today. The entire Trenčín Castle🏰 is surrounded by high walls and towers, with a spiral path leading up the mountain; inside the castle, there are several palaces of different sizes.
📍Roland Fountain
The Roland Fountain⛲ is located in the main square♥ of Bratislava, and it is one of the iconic landmarks. The Baroque-style sculptural fountain is not only beautiful but also had a firefighting🧯 function at the time, just like the large vats in the Forbidden City. The fountain is lit up in the evening, so if you're not in a hurry, you can wait until night, it's even more beautiful!
📍Manhole Cover Statue
In the capital of Slovakia, Bratislava, the most famous statue🗿 is probably this 'Man at Work'. A sewer worker👨🔧 in work clothes, poking his head out of the ground to rest, looking adorable. If you enjoy city walks in the old town, come and take a look!

The heart of Europe - Slovakia (a paradise for tourism)
🌌It was just named the number one travel destination in Europe for 2019 by "Lonely Planet", boasting picturesque and stunning scenery like poetry.
❤️It is located in the central inland of Europe and is known as the "heart of Europe".
🕍It is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, with serene and unspoiled natural scenery and rural beauty that is captivating.
🕌It is the bearer of history, and castles and ancient sites are still relatively intact until now. It is one of the countries with the largest number of castles in the world.
💒It is also the embodiment of romance and mystery, as if the whole country is shrouded in the atmosphere of music and art.
🇸🇰It is the niche country - Slovakia.
🎼Slovakia is an inland country in Central Europe. It became an independent sovereign state on January 1, 1993. The tranquil natural scenery and exotic atmosphere of Central Europe attract many tourists to come.
🎁Slovakia is also known for its cheap prices, with most attractions offering free admission and hotels costing only around 200 RMB per person.
💌Everyone who has visited Slovakia says the same thing: once you come, you never want to leave, and you miss it terribly after you leave. It's clear how captivating the scenery here is.
We have to take the cable car to the viewing platform at an altitude of 1751. It is a famous ski resort in winter, and you can imagine the snow-covered look in the winter.
Sitting on a long cable car up the mountain, below is a layer of forest. Arrive at the top of the mountain! There is another small restaurant on the top of the mountain. It can be skiing, gliding and hiking nearby. It is also a paradise for outdoor lovers. The sharp peak behind
is also very high. At the top of the mountain there is a small lake with a clear little lake, and locals wearing traditional costumes for wedding photos. I feel that there are always a variety of mountain lakes in the middle of Central Europe.

A particularly memorable way of writing in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, is Brat-is-lava. Feel your wit full score!
The coolest thing in the city is the sculpture of this sewer worker. It looks like a kindly uncle who stretched out half of his body and smiled warmly to you. It is said that there are still many cars that will accidentally pick up... ...

Speaking of Slovakia, for a young woman who is ignorant of politics, such as me (a guest should not take it seriously), the most famous specialty of this country is Quentins film "Humanpi Inn", a full of killing and bloody The small cost horror film. Perhaps the director himself did not mean this, but the film itself and the audience have demonized Slovakia. Its dangers and wildness have been greatly exaggerated. This originally unknown Eastern European country is notorious and the tourism industry has also been affected. Therefore, after the film was released, it was strongly protested by the Sri Lankan government. However, this is not very useful. Until today, some people mentioned Slovakia. It seems that they still think that they are ruthless.
Desperado.
In addition to a wealth of culture, historical sites and famous attractions. The cuisine of Slovakia is also full of praise. Eastern Europeans are flesh-loving and like to eat roast pork. This can be said to be a local one. The carefully roasted pork is very tender and tender, and it is accompanied by a specially prepared sauce. The smell is enough to make people drool. Soup is a must-have for the Slovakian table. Slovaks have great enthusiasm for soup, so they have created mushroom soup, cabbage soup and bean soup. Unfortunately, I lost fat and I was very vegetarian.
