The Galeri Dato' Onn is a little musuem located in Batu Pahat, Johor. It's truly a hidden gem within the Batu Pahat Golf Club. This gallery used to be the official residence of the late Dato' Onn Jaafar when he held the Batu Pahat District Officer position from 1945 to 1946. The gallery showcases the precious historical archive photos, political histories and the family tree related to Dato' Onn. I really love its nostalgic and tranquil atmosphere. Room V Boutique Hotel has 3 branches in Batu Pahat, I stayed the one located at 22, Jalan Jenang, Kampung Pegawai, Batu Pahat, Johor. This hotel is right in the town center, just beside my favourite Pakistani restaurant(Nasi Pakistan No 1). The room has both air condition unit and fan, comfortable bed and excellent cleanliness, the toilet was clean too! I love the hotel decor, simply minimalist and with the classy colour. I booked through Trip.com for a Standard Queen Room on weekend for just RM 50 per-night, such a very good price and pleasant stay, highly recommended!

As a self-proclaimed foodie, I was eager to explore the diverse culinary offerings this place had to offer. And boy, was I not disappointed! The food court was bustling with activity, a testament to its popularity. The aroma of various cuisines filled the air, making it difficult to decide where to start. I eventually settled on a stall serving local delicacies. The char kway teow was a revelation, with perfectly cooked noodles, a delightful balance of flavors, and a generous portion of prawns and vegetables. #myhiddengems A nice forest reserve with paved walkways and staircases that leads up to a lookout which reportedly allows you to catch a glimpse of the state of Malacca from across the sea. However the long staircases which lead ever upwards means you better have some stamina to get to the top. It’s very popular with hikers looking for some daily exercise.

#myhiddengems This man made a playground from scratch, everything is there for a kid to enjoy himself for many hours. And yes, there are so much kids playing! Also great food! Make sure to visit this place and to put a small donation (there is a box) as the entrance is free. Super friendly people! It's very small and it doesn't even have a grassy field but the rides there are very creative construction, especially the wooden slide and the Tarzan swing.
