It has a bitter taste with a hint of tea fragrance. I've loved it since I was a child, so I feel an inexplicable sense of familiarity with this restaurant of the same name. The restaurant is clean with a bit of an industrial vibe, making it superior to many cha chaan tengs. There are many food choices, and the quality is very good. It mainly offers Western fast food at reasonable prices, catering to the needs of nearby office workers. The most expensive steak meal in the entire restaurant is only a few dozen dollars, and the afternoon tea set is even more affordable. However, it does not operate during dinner hours.

Sha Tin Park after the rain

Sha Tin Park is a big park in Sha Tin District and is strategic as shopping malls, town halls, and cycle tracks surround it. The view around is breathtaking. I came here after the rain in the afternoon, and I enjoyed the gloomy ambiance and the beautiful scenery behind and around the park. Parent-Child Dragon Boat

Over 2021’s Christmas, I was introduced to Hywind 海泓 who offered dragon boat trainings not only for adults; they’d held holiday half day camp for people like us to experience it with our children. And if children age 10 and above are interested, I know they’re planning for juvenile training. We were gathered at 沙田體育會水上活動中心 located right next to the HKCDBA Training Centre at On King Street. Put on life jackets and got our paddles. Trainer led everyone to warm ups and stretching before arranging positions in boat. Kids sat in front of their parents. Dragon boat rowing is different compared to kayaking. It’s single paddle, each responsible a side. Different posture and use of muscle strength in rowing. Trainers are clear with instruction and taught each and every one of us, including kids. My kids enjoyed rowing, and doing it the right way because they’re well taught. It’s a memorable experience for us. I was worried it’ll be too tired for kids, as us parents are first timer too, but we’re all good, having fun and pumped up after the little competition between boats. I didn’t think it’s such an enthusiastic activity, it’s full of adrenaline and team spirits especially when you know you’re almost ahead. It definitely requires tons of effort in working together, seems to be one of the most pumped up activity I’ve ever done. Secret Garden to the city~ 10 mins walk from Tai Wai Station, you can find yourself a quiet, peaceful track for jogging, running, cycling or hiking. The scene is absolutely gorgeous along side with the Shing Mun River. Cozy Coffee

The staff here is super friendly and goes an extra mile to make you feel cozy. I ordered a Tea set with a cup of Latte and a piece of Mixed Berry Tart. The tart was rich in flavour. It was not too sweet and went well with my Latte. Always look forward to visit this coffee place when I come Tai Wai. #café#gourmetsummer

One night, I was passing by Sha Tin Wai with my friends and suddenly wanted to eat skewers, so I searched for some skewers shops nearby. 🔥Walking, I saw this skewer shop. Seeing that the price here is quite good value for money, 🍢 so we went in for dinner. Their Hiroshima oysters are grilled with garlic. 🦪The two oysters are rich in garlic seasoning. The oyster meat is delicious and very fresh. Served with garlic, 🧄 it tastes really appetizing, the taste is very good! The grilled chicken wings 🐤 and the mushroom fat beef roll 🐮 are also good, grilled a little charred, very crispy to eat. There are three big pieces of fresh winter mushrooms🍄 in each string. NewTownPlaza‘s Sportzone and Workshop Few weeks ago, I took kids to New Town Plaza, knowing that there’s this rooftop sports park. From the brochure, we are expecting a 5metre sleigh ride on artificial grass; 17 metres balancing path; a rather simple rock climbing; gym area without equipments; a colourful basketball court and rest area. We went after school, arriving just past lunch hour. I didn’t expect such a sunny weather given the past few days were cloudy and gloomy. So, of course, the boulders on wall were too hot to climb on. Kids move on, ran straight to the balancing swings, then noticed the sleigh ride. We went straight to the sleigh ride while I got my SHKP mall app ready (if you’re a member, you could use 50 points in exchange for a 2-3 mins ride). This is when we were told that the ride is only for 120cm and above ! Both my kids are below that requirement, and they were looking forward.. that’s pretty disappointed to be honest. There ain’t no fun and it’s a boring park if you can’t go on the sleigh. So we left for Snoopy World’s playground.
