A highly recommended trail that’s about 1 hour’s drive from the city to the jetty at Bengoh Dam. Your respective tour guide (arrange beforehand) will pick you by boat (approx 20min ride) to the start of the trail. Basically it includes visit to scenic 2 waterfalls by walking through beautiful easy rainforest trails & crossing traditional bamboo bridges (if you’re afraid just go slow will do!) Usually it’ll include lunch (liaise with your guide), and after you’ll make a steep hike (max 20min) from kampung sting for a scenic view point overlooking the view of the dam from above. Overall a scenic and fun trail to venture for beginners & first timers, there’s also option of overnight stay with local Homestay to experience their way of life & if you’re lucky to witness the Milky Way at night. Public toilet is available at the start of the trail, and phone network is not available (at least for my telco Digi). This is the backyard and home to the Bidayuh villagers that live there, hence please respect their land by taking nothing but memories and leaving nothing but footprints
