#100waysoftravel Annah Rais Longhouse is a Bidayuh settlement 60km south of Kuching… The longhouse is strategically located at a valley with river stream runs behind it and built 10 feet above the ground from Ironwood (belian) and mature bamboo (apek)…. Some parts of the longhouse are still quite original whereby it is attached without nails. There are approximately 1,500 people living in the longhouse and they are all related to each other, and some parts of the longhouse is also pretty modernized… Naturally, be respectful when you are in this area especially when visiting some parts of this longhouse…. It can be a little nerve wrecking when you are visiting the century-old longhouse part especially the Panggah “head house” bedecked with bamboo interiors and a collection of human skulls! #Sarawak #SarawakAdventure #sarawaklonghouse

#jomcuti Borneo Empurau Farm (Serian) – Fun for All Ages! Borneo Empurau Farm in Serian is such a wonderful place to visit. It’s truly suitable for all ages — the elderly enjoyed it, the adults had fun, and the kids were absolutely thrilled! The environment is peaceful and close to nature, and the pool with a slide makes the visit even more enjoyable. Both adults and children can play and have a great time there, which is not easy to find in many places. It’s a place where the whole family can relax, laugh, and create happy memories together. It was really fun from start to finish. The only thing you need to watch out for is that kids may enjoy the pool a little too much… and if they stay in there too long, they might catch a cold! 😂

I recommend booking lunch in advance, as tables fill up on weekends. Practical Insight: The resort is about a 40-minute drive from central Kuching. I highly suggest hiring a Grab or arranging a resort shuttle because local taxis are scarce. Grab snacks and water before coming—there’s one minimart at the resort, but options are limited and local eats tend to sell out fast on busy days. Getting Around: Rent a car or use ride-hailing apps to/from Kuching. The roads are scenic but winding, so plan your journey before sunset and bring an offline map just in case! Food tip: Don’t miss their Empurau sashimi and jungle ferns stir-fry at the on-site restaurant. The best hotel to stay in Serian. However they need to buck up on room cleaning and food. The bathroom was not properly cleaned and after complaint, they did a good job. Breakfast was good but the coffee and congee was cold, which is disappointing. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Its located right next to Lepapa Hypermarket and foodcourt. Makes for a very convenient stay at Serian. #malaysia
